Love how the orange looks. I was skeptical before buying due to age and the previous owner adding mods but I had a PPI done and mechanic said it was in mint condition. Just need to keep it that way now.

Heavily modified m3 in Plano, Texas

9 years and around 65k miles in (total around 98k), and she just finds new ways to put a smile on my face.

This car, from it's note, to the body lines and humps, aggressiveness and surprising comfort, is the absolute pinnacle for BMW and a true end of an era.

Nothing within BMW comes close to it, nor the ones that came before it. What they're doing now is a travesty, and will be talked about decades from now.

Every dealer wants to skim you, and the true passion within the brand has vanished.

Anyways, enough ranting i absolutely love this thing, and i hope, if you own one, that you do too, and if don't, hopefully you come across one you can't pass up on.

Got a 2023 M550i with 27k kms on odometer and 2 years BMW premium selection warranty. Paid 62k €, a little bit more than I would have liked but I absolutely love it. It really is a sleeper.

Any tips on how to take care of it?

Absolutely stunning example I saw the other week. Yes I was jealous. They don’t make them like they used to.
Was at a motorsport cafe.

Owned the car for just over a year. It’s been good, I have always wanted to own a full fat M car, but this is a decent bridge between the two worlds! Thought white would be boring but I like how it looks with the shadow line.

I have an AA downpipe on order that I hope to fit imminently.

Future plans include new alloys, 15mm front spacers, Eventuri intake, black rear and side badges and a new steering wheel and a ECU unlock then Stage2

Pleased with the small changes as I don’t think it’s a car that needs or wants big shouty exterior changes!

Thoughts welcomed on any other modifications ideas there are.

Hello every one, here's my M2 G87.

Ice had this car since 2024 and i promised to my self that ill keep it Stock since it was my first brand new car but i just couldnt resist to mod it. Edelweis Lt03 wheel 20 inch all around and alpha n Carbon parts.

All in all iam very happy with the car, coilovers will be installed in a few weeks. Pretty happy with the s58 Platform, the only Thing that Bugs me is the weight of this car.

This was my first car ever I got to 212k miles, I had it for almost 6 years and it’s been paid off for a good while it was such a good car to me. It was the base model N20 XDrive

Early this morning the front differential absolutely nuked itself about to go on an off-ramp no idea the cause behind it. The experience at highway speeds was incredible to say the least. Felt like a hit a brick wall and then it was just so much grinding. The funny thing is it got me to my work parking lot I was 0.5 miles from the parking lot when it happened.

Since it was my first car ever the junk place said they were gonna crush it due to the front diff being shot and its mileage so I took the badges the headunit screen knob and gonna make some more cash off it no reason to have the screen and headunit crushed it was a NBT retrofit.

I just thought I’d share that I had a N20 equipped F30 with a manufacture date of 01/14 have something else catastrophic happen before the timing chain guides at such miles too.

Fun car I will definitely be getting another F3x chassis in the future probably not with a N20 can’t say I didn’t have my fair share of repairs. Too good of a car anyway.

Heard this mod is all the rage these days

Of course the X7 is an upgrade and a true luxury car. However, there are a few cons that need to be addressed…

1- The air conditioning is pretty sub par. I can’t figure out why it takes full blast for so long to cool the car. Also it always defaults to not being sync’d with the passenger which is super annoying to keep hitting sync while driving to keep it all the same.

2- The Apple Car Play and sound system is terrible. I have never had this issue in a car before, not even a rental car. Every time I connect my phone it varies the volume like crazy. On some calls I have to turn the volume literally to the max and can barely hear the person on the phone. Then if I switch to music or a podcast the volume drastically changes again depending on what app I am using. It’s incredibly frustrating and a ridiculous problem for such a nice car. Even asked the dealer about and it and they shrugged it off and said it just has trouble connecting with playing sounds from a phone vs the radio etc on the car itself. Not acceptable.

3- I have the stripe brown high gloss wood accents. When I have ridden in the passenger seat on road trips, the dashboard is angled at just the perfectly wrong angle and reflects blinding light from the sun. It’s actually piercing and unbearable.

4- Why can’t I change a setting to have the car automatically start in Eco mode? The car is a gas guzzler and I want to pretty much use Eco mode all the time but I always forget to switch to that function, seems obvious you should be able to choose which drive mode you want as your default.

Pros:

-Incredibly smooth drive
-Seats are absurdly comfortable
-I’m happy with the car in general, but the above four points are total misfires for such a high price point

Got my first BMW moving from an Audi A4 40 estate. I absolutely love it. To top it off, my infant son used to cry his eyes out in the Audi, but now I have to take him out in the car to get him to sleep! Hands down the best car decision I’ve made.

made a chime sound and it went out. anyone experience this? The normal i drive screen still works normal

update: dealer said they have to replace the whole head unit. weirdly enough they already have one in stock so shouldn’t be too long of a job.

I am currently looking at buying an M440i Gran Coupe in Brooklyn grey. Please can everyone give me some pros and cons of the car as I’m not really a big car guy. After looking at it, it seems like a nice car but thought it could be worth opening it up to the experts.

Bought the car 7/15/26 and have been dealing back and forth with the salesman since then about this adapter not coming with the car. It clearly states on two places on the BMW website that 2025 i5 M60 is suppose to come with both of these but I’ve only received the one on the right of the first pic (not circled).

And the dealer is saying “nope not supposed to come with your car so we are not going to give you one”.

It was already a complete shit experience buying the car and now this is making it even worse.

What can I do? Am I in the wrong here?

Edit: Salesman has redeemed himself quite a bit by looking into this more despite my negativity. He found supporting internal docs that state the car should’ve come with both of them. In a nutshell internal docs state all i5 with March 2026 or newer build dates come with both adapters, and mine was built 3/26/26. So the factory forgot to include one as it’s not in their receiving logs for the car. He’s going to take the information to parts manager and get me one ordered.

hi all! i have a 2012 F30 335i Sedan and am thinking about getting a catted downpipe/tune. i’d be doing it for the sound and not the performance as i’m not planning to push any power. i’m at 120k miles

my current setup includes:
CTS Turbo intake
aluminum charge pipe
AWE midpipe
Valvetronic Axleback exhaust

i just have some questions for anyone that has an F30 335i and has a catted downpipe

1. is it “too loud” in your opinion when driving/cruising? i heard some say that when they got a downpipe they felt and heard it next to them in the cabin. i daily mine so i just want to make sure that it’s not obnoxious.
   
2. i know that the “burbles, pops, etc.” are something you can adjust. is that something you can do on the fly? for example i can open and close my valves while i’m driving. is it similar? or is it something you have to actually adjust the tune to do?
   
3. for those that daily it, is it droney? or bearable while driving on the highway or just daily driving in general?

10k miles in 7 months blew right by…

Hello all. First time posting here, and doing it only as a last resort as I am slightly desperate.

long short short:

- I have a BMW 318d touring, diesel, 2007 with 380 thousand km. Ilove the car, but I has one major problem:

- sometimes, randomly, the car stops accelerating.

- The car does not fully shot down, everything electronic is still working, the engine is roaring and the RPM slowly start coming down, but it simply stops reacting to the gas pedal.

- it seems like sometimes just changing gears is enough, but most of the times I have to restart the car while moving. I press the start button while holding the clutch, do this one two times, and it restarta and continues moving normally

now, I’ve been to the BMW garage, and they didn’t find the problem. I went to 3 other mechanisms, and nobody seems to find the e problem.

so, I am wondering: did anyone have to heal with this Or a similar issue before? Any tips or recommendations?
