ILM has a pretty complicated relationship with the tourists. But I bet you won't be drinking much if your gallbladder is about to fail...
Or we'll hear about it in Carolina Bch

They might work for Novant. I don't know anything. Just starting rumors.

one of the last public hospitals in the country was somehow allowed to be sold to Novant and people wanna act like it’s a gift to people out of town?? it’s a fucking curse.
my buddies roommate got bit by a copperhead. they did what you would do in that situation. call an ambulance. what did they do when they got there?
“well, we don’t have any anti-venom in town. in fact the closest anti-venom is in myrtle beach. best of luck!”
that was it. i understand copperhead bites are not necessarily lethal. doesn’t mean they can’t be. went to this dudes house with his swollen ass foot elevated in the yard just out there hoping for the best.
wilmington has no fucking resources to exploit
edit: also fuck that mod. lame ass behavior. do better dipshit

They love his kind on the yard. What absolute trash. Although he shares some traits with the conmander in chief

I just woke my son up because my neurospicy arse just yelled out... "Weenie Hut Junior?!?!" in my pathetic attempt to sound like SpongeBob. 🤣

Oh no, definitely don't creenshot and repost. That might anger the basement dwelling mods here.

Surgery is scheduled months out. The implication of that would mean halting my life for months, which just isn’t realistic. And, again, this COULD turn into an emergency situation, but that doesn’t mean it absolutley WILL. But, every place I would possibly go would have a hospital with GI surgeons. And as one of the most commonly performed (but also very serious) procedures, there wouldn’t be a reason for temporary agoraphobia on account of this issue.

Because I was a (gasp!) TOURIST! 😅🤣
But for real! Reddit is a GREAT forum for us to have these discussions, but arbitrary and rude “bans” are just silly.

And god forbid someone in the community also wanting to know. I found my saint of a neurologist through a thread like this. What is the point of a subteddit about a town if you can't even talk about the medical options in the town?

Wow so I guess the chronically I'll should stay home. Shut it down Make a Wish. Sick kids dont get to go to Disneyland in case they have an emergency.

Too many. More people need to smoke more pot or something. Just chill all the way out

But this is all super helpful advice for finding docs 👌

Thank you so much! This was last month (but I just finally hit the 30 days as a member of this sub to post… lol played the long game with this one), and I made it to/through my planned surgery date! ☺️

There’s doctor review sites. I’d look up the surgeons at the hospitals in Wilmington and google them and try to find some feedback.
Like RateMDs and Healthgrades.

Again tho, yeah this was total jerk behavior, but I also don’t want to just crap on this person. I would just like to highlight this gap, air my frustrations, and hopefully have this person take accountability on their own accord.
