Employee A Dude Charged 2400 by Victra

Current Verizon rep here, and guess what? I'm getting laid off on the 15th. Corpo rep, gets a LOT of people from nearby Victras with problems upon problems.

Young guy comes in, he went to Victra to get one home internet. Decent sale. The Victra agent adds 3 home internets, 8 phone lines on ultimate and stacks every line with EVERY perk plus protection. Bro has been sitting in a house with presumably no internet for 3 months because he's on a never pay list.

I try to help this guy. Call customer service, a guy swears up and down he made it so the account will be reactivated by EOD and credits (which were promised by another rep by the 21st of this month) would be sent for approval. I send cx home, then I call in right before my shift ends because I was suspicious. Lo and behold, the next rep confirms that the other guy did NOTHING and proceeded to get as many departments on call as possible (she talked to them on my behalf) to get something. She's amazing, took another hour.

Previous to calling either rep, I was thrown between 4 departments because no one wanted to take responsibility for the credits btw. Someone even told me to send him back to the original store. Fact: stores aren't even able to credit 1/5 of $2300, let alone a Victra.

Anyways, that sweetheart put in a credit request (takes time for approval) and put a suppression on the bill to prevent it from going to collections for another month. Since I was an hour past my shift, I had to take her word on it and called in a third time this morning. The third guy (american) confirmed everything the previous rep did went through, but told me the account won't reactivate because its in a 'never pay' status which is the new account version of 'non pay'. This comes with a bonus restriction of no overrides being applicable.

I texted my district manager with info about the customer. Maybe he can get somewhere because I don't exactly trust customer service to get things done without you personally leering over them. I have a vacation starting tomorrow (yay me) so I'm putting all the pressure of this on someone so I don't have to think about this poor 23 y/o who has the patience of a SAINT getting screwed over by indirect. He can only get Verizon internet in his apartment btw. His account was deactivated 2 months ago.

BTW I'm only getting laid off because indirect is taking my store. 60% of traffic is elderly, and I have 100% five star reviews. Verizon's reputation is gonna tank extremely hard once Victra gets their hands on this 'people get off the plane and travel directly to this store despite it being 20 miles from the airport and there being a dozen stores between' location.

I can only hope this gets resolved before my last day, I really want to fix things for this poor guy.

Well over 12 hours since international outages have started

What's going on?? What's the latest update? When will the services I pay for be back up and running outside of the US? This is getting ridiculous and the lack of coverage on this has been an absolute joke. Verizon will lose many customers over this, including me.

Wireless My lte service is horrible is there a way force it on 5GUW on a iPhone 17 only?

I’m definitely gonna leave these guys once my contract is up I think if I can’t get this resolved.

I can have four or five bars of LTE and absolutely no service no data nothing

If I leave the setting Data Roaming>5G enabled the it still seems to go to LTE in certain areas.

The 5G UW is drastically better in my areas

Wireless Verizon Trade in Deals: "Get up to $1400 and $1900 off Galaxy Fold/Flips 8"

Wow, looks like they are increasing those trade-in promos to match the "new" and improved prices.. Most likely this will mirror the new iPhones in the fall too. $52/month credit on unlimited ultimate is pretty sick.

I have two promos, $1400 & $1900... that's a solid credit.

SOS in Canada (again)

Service has been in and out all morning in Toronto. I got punted onto Freedom Mobile at about 6:30 AM (I had been roaming mostly on Bell and Rogers before that). I quickly lost service after connecting to Freedom Mobile. SOS appeared on the phone until about 9:30 AM, when I was able to connect to the Rogers network. Now, since about 10:15 AM, I've gone back to SOS. Thankfully, I'm in buildings all day where I'm able to connect to Wi-Fi, but I am worried what would happen if someone tried to give me an old fashioned phone call. What a mess.

After living through the Verizon outage back in January, I got myself an AT&T prepaid eSIM as a backup secondary line. I'm starting to come to terms with the fact that, after years of being with them, Verizon is just not the company it used to be. I'm not deciding anything right now, while I'm abroad for a few more weeks, but I'm heavily considering switching my primary line to an AT&T postpaid account. Two outages in one year is unacceptable (granted, I understand that I'm only experiencing this one because I'm in Canada, but still — international roaming is a part of what I pay for with Unlimited Ultimate). If Verizon isn't holding up their end of the bargain, I think it might finally be time for me to take my money elsewhere.

Full bars but zero connection in Japan

Currently in Tokyo and have full bars connected to SoftBank but cannot load or do anything with it regardless of my connection. I know it’s been down for a while now and have been waiting for a chat room agent for about 3 hours. Writing this from cafe WiFi, I could barely find my hotel because of this issue. Crazy I am paying $100 for this international plan for it to bust, thanks Verizon.

Outage

This outage is the final nail in the coffin. Bill went from $128 to $200 in 3 months. Service is always crappy in my area. Metro PCs and T-Mobile are better lol. I guess I’m venting but wow I’ve never had a worse experience than using Verizon. Baffling I’ve always heard ATT and Verizon were top in the United States.

Stationed OCONUS

Hey guys, need some help verifying some info I got from Verizon today.

We are currently stationed OCONUS (Germany) we have been here for 18 months and I have 2 lines on the international plan on an eSIM.

Beginning of this year, roughly January (can't remember the day), I added a 3rd line, same plan, on an eSIM. It was activated and was working as it should.

Today, the 3rd line on a samsung s22+ took an update and it hasn't worked since. There is a 🚫 symbol where the network coverage usually is and it only allows emergency calls. Wi-Fi works.

I called Verizon, and we did all the troubleshooting. reset mobile networks, deleted the eSIM, readded it (it says Verizon Wireless-unknown number now)

Tech said the unlimited plan wasn't added on the 3rd line, he added it, still nothing.

3rd line still has no service and tech states that it is due to being overseas. After 90 days, Verizon kicks off phones off the network due to a Verizon Policy and that could happen to our other 2 lines.

Is this accurate? Anyone have any advice on how to proceed with getting service back. Will this happen to our other 2 lines?

Wireless Simplicity Confusion

Upvotes

Hi,

Just joined on Tuesday and during the process was asked to port or provide a recent bill. Uploaded the bill and that went fine and completed the process.

Oddly enough, my lines have a $40 activation fee when I was told there wouldn’t be one.

I do see a $15 promotion on each of my lines bringing them to $30 each - which is correct.

However, the rep told me 4K is included, it’s not. Was also told international is included it also isnt. So now i am debating being asked to be moved to MyPlan - is that still possible? Would I keep my switcher discount?

Thanks

Wireless Transfer of service question?

Hi all,

Looking to transfer my phone line from my current account (shared with my parents and sibling) to my wife's family plan (her, sibling, sibling-in-law, and their parents). Made a little more complicated by the fact that my parents and I are now estranged (unfortunately lost them very abruptly to conspiracy theories and online disinformation 🙃)

Is it really as simple as it seems? My wife and I are both account managers on our current plans and I just want to be sure I am not missing anything before making the switch.

1) I initiate on my end as Account Manager

2) She accepts on her end as Account Manager (selecting proper plan and all that)

3) That's it?

Appreciate any confirmation!

Ported number into Verizon and now number shows as suspended

I’ve had Verizon for years. We have 4 phones and a watch on our plan. I ported one line to Google Fi on the 19th and the service didn’t work for me, so I ported back to Verizon yesterday. After about 3 hours on the phone with customer service they finally got the port back to Verizon to go through and the phone worked. A little later my phone all of a sudden loses service and when I go to the MyVerizon app it says the service is suspended. I haven’t been able to get it fixed. Any ideas how to get this resolved quickly? They mentioned one bill, but I’ve never had fios.

I’m using the same iPhone 17 that I had before, which was purchased directly from Apple. The 3 other phones work without issue.

Edit: in case anyone has this issue in the future, the store fixed it in less than 2 minutes.

Must I wait for a Watch activation?

I activated service last night and everything is working in regards to my phone and I got my Disney+ and Netflix set up but when I try to access MyVerizon app or set up my Apple Watch plan the systems acts like I don't even have an account at all.

Is there like a wait or something. This is ridiculous. I can't get anything from any of the agents.

Need help with repeated disconnects & fees after payment arrangements

I’m looking for help from an official u/VerizonSupport rep regarding a billing / account issue that keeps happening even after I set up payment arrangements through customer service.

Very briefly:

  • I’ve paid the $10 fee multiple times to make payment arrangements with reps.
  • Even after giving specific dates and being told my services would stay active, my lines have still been disconnected.
  • Each time that happens, I get charged $20 per line fees across several lines (phones, tablets, watches), which keeps driving my bill higher and making it impossible to get caught up.

I’m disabled and honestly overwhelmed by repeated phone calls and chats that don’t fix the problem. I’d really appreciate it if a Verizon support representative could respond here and let me know how to DM or contact you directly so I can provide my account info and a detailed timeline privately, and get these fees and arrangements reviewed.

Thank you.

Wireless Have an S22 Ultra and want to upgrade soon. Should I trade-in and upgrade with Verizon, or should I buy a phone elsewhere?

Hey all. I have been on Verizon since I was in high school over a decade ago, and I've always been the type to simply trade in my phone and upgrade it through their internal deals whenever I've paid it off. I currently have an S22 Ultra on the (now deprecated, apparently) 5G Do More plan, and it's long been paid off, but since it's worked great and continues to work great, I've held off on thinking about upgrading. However, early into owning an S22 Ultra I found out through experience that there's a hardware defect in the phone which causes the 5G antenna to disconnect, usually through dropping it. I had to get the phone replaced (twice, in quick succession), but since it wasn't paid off at the time I didn't have the option of switching to a different phone. Luckily, the last replacement hasn't seen this issue (so far) but I know that it could succumb to this issue any day now, and to boot the screen has cracked recently. Since it's been awhile I figured now is a good time to look for something else.

All that said, I'd heard that the upgrades through Verizon are sort of a scam from someone I know, and that kind of tracks but I didn't know the legitimacy of the claim. Something something the price of the phone is outweighed by the price of the plan they require for deal eligibility. So, I'm wondering if I should still go with the trade-in (and subsequent move to Unlimited Ultimate) for an S26 of some kind, or if it'd be better to finance a phone from someplace else and activate it through Verizon. Alternatively, I could get a lower-tier plan and get a lesser deal on a trade-in, but I don't know. What would y'all recommend?

Wireless International Outage

I was also having issues overseas and my guess is that it is with the company that Verizon uses for international roaming. I called Verizon and an agent “refreshed” my line and I now have service again. Let me know if this does/doesn’t work for you

Wireless Credit where credit is due

The unrequested political ads and solicitation of funds by politicians had been unbearable, necessitating me just turning off the phone in years past. Seriously, US politicians beg for money more than the homeless people they disenfranchise!

This year, I’ve been able to block all texts that are not from contacts from dinging my phone. They are “quarantined” (as I call it) in a txt spam folder for review/blocking. It has saved my sanity.

Thank you
