Hey all, as the title suggests I’m looking for good sushi places near Oxnard, preferably all you can eat or on the less expensive side. Moved here recently and have had an insane craving for sushi.

Anyone know of or are interested in doing a game exchange? Board, murder-mystery, escape room games that are fun but really can only be played once for novelty. It would be fun (and cost-effective) to be able to trade these around. Let me know if you're interested or if something like this already exists around here.

As the the title indicates, we’ve been invaded by a lot of alligator lizards and they are pooping all over our patio furniture. Curious if anyone else out there is experiencing this and if you all know of any strategies to keep them away?

We recently tried a lizard deterrent/repellent mostly made from essential oils that lizards are supposed to not like but it has done nothing. Thanks!

I'm looking for recommendations for a hairstylist (preferably a woman) in the Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Ventura, or Oxnard area who is great with men's hair.

I've tried quite a few barbers over the years, and while they've done a decent job, I feel like I'm missing the consultation piece. I don't really know what style would look best on me, and I'd love someone who can look at my face shape, hair type, hairline, and lifestyle and actually make recommendations instead of just asking, "What are we doing today?"

I'm not looking for the best fade or a basic trim. I'm looking for someone who's confident with men's cuts and styling, has great scissor skills, and can help me figure out a hairstyle that actually suits me.

If you've had a great experience with someone who takes the time to explain what would work (and why), I'd really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

"A man riding an e-bike was killed in a crash on a rural stretch of road in Ventura County early Saturday morning, officials say.

According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, deputies from the Camarillo station were dispatched to the 3900 block of Las Posas Road for reports of an 'injury traffic collision' at 2:20 a.m.

When they arrived in the area, not far from the campus of California State University-Channel Islands, the deputies located an E-bike in the eastbound lanes of Las Posas and a man in the center divider near the bike.

Aid was immediately rendered by first responders, who also requested medical assistance; however, the man succumbed to his injuries.

"A long-awaited safety improvement project aimed at preventing suicides has been completed on the Arroyo Simi Overhead Bridge along State Route 118 in Moorpark.

Caltrans announced the completion of the SR-118 Arroyo Simi Safety Barrier Project, which added more than 6,400 linear feet of fencing along both the northbound and southbound sides of the approximately half-mile bridge on July 15.

I like to go swimming in the morning, afternoon and night at beaches that are clam (no big waves) and sandy (no rocky bottoms). Does anyone have any suggestions on good beaches in Ventura County?

I want to do a small, and I mean very small like 3 to 4 person cook out. But I know it’s going to be hot. I dont mind going to far the county area is fine or even a campground as long as its free and without reserve (the cookout area).

I am looking to retrofit a Bosch variable inverter system onto our central air to replace our two stage Trane (I believe that's feasible but it would need a real expert), or add one or two mini splits, which we had in previous houses (Mitsubishi). Ideally a diamond certified installer for these brands. Not looking for traditional central air-only companies. I believe VC has at least one Mitsubishi diamond certified installer, but they seem to do mostly commercial buildings rather than residential. If anyone knows of a Bosch AC expert that would be great too. Thanks in advance!

Im 24F and used to play AYSO soccer as a kid. Now, I kind of want to get back into it after 8 years. Is the AYSO adult coed league a good experience? Or is City of Ventura coed free agent sign up better? Im looking for competition too. I liked the officiated games I used to play.
