Gendered correctly majority of time but still unsure if I pass -- could use some input

Been on HRT for 4.5 years and have been getting gendered correctly now for a while in public/day-to-day interactions. The one place I've struggled is in the workplace. I used to be in a corporate remote job and even though my pronouns are displayed I've unfortunately had a few people who were problematic and would misgender me :(

That might be due to my voice and being in a managerial position which unfortunately I think people still associate being a "leader" with masculinity (of course my cis colleagues who were also managers don't continually have their womanhood undermined though🙄). I currently out of work and am searching for a new job but have been a bit in my head on whether I pass or not during interviews/interactions with potential employers.

Looking for advice here if I pass or not, and also open to other tips to pass better. I have considered FFS, but that is currently out of the cards until I find new work and then even then the wait times are years, so looking for any short terms thoughts/advice that might help me out. Thanks <3

This is just another post like one I posted a couple of days back since I didn’t get much real feedback on that one, so yeah!
Hi everyone, I’d like some honest feedback on whether I am on the right track or not - also obvs ppl aren’t gonna hugbox here but also be nice! Too many commenters here seem to forget manners and that people do infact have feelings :)

I would say I pass but pass a trans women. If that makes sense. Im 6’3 280lbs. And although I try voice training Im horrible at it.
99 % of the time Im gendered correctly.
Unfortunately when I look in the mirror I still see my old self and Im always wondering what can I improve, my hips! I have been investigating fat redistribution to my hips or implants. Have any ladies done this and what is your experience? I live in Canada and in order to bet insurance to pay for it, the procedure has to be done in Canada. Canadian Drs are great but I also have this feeling there are much better gender surgeons in other countries.

Warning: To all those that are asking if they pass

This sub can be really hard on your psyche. Even with the kindest intention, a comment can kick off some really bad headspace events. Like, if you think you pass, and walk around in the world into thinking you do, and then find out that you really don't...that can be a big blow to one's self image.

So go slow.

And to commenters, please...be kind. We're all living in a world that, for the most part, is hostile to us, and we need each other, no matter what we look like.

I'm still afraid, should I introduce myself as a guy or a girl? At work, customers call me "young man, brother," and only sometimes "girl." But if I work in white clothes like in the photo, then in most cases they treat me like a girl (but sometimes they apologize because my voice is not strong). In the photo, there is no makeup, and my HRT is 9.5-10.5 months. I need a serious explanation without exaggeration, because I live in an unsafe environment.

Funny story, I live in a red county, one of the most conservative in my state and I haven't gotten clocked in nearly 2 years. I was on a zoom call with a career services agent going over paper work and she said we are skipping selective service as that only applies to men or people born male.

When I corrected her, she was completely shocked and didn't even know what to say. The only people who misgender me are family...of course. For the most part even without makeup I never even get stares from kids anymore either.

Im sorry idk where else to go

hi everyone, i know this isn’t exactly the proper place for me to be posting but I genuinely don’t know where else I could go for this. I was born as a girl and identify as a girl but people misgender me and think I’m a boy. i don’t identify as transgender or non binary but I’ve had many people ask me if I was a transgender man. i genuinely don’t understand this because even after I’ve grown my hair out (i used to have short hair) and started to dress more feminine it still happens to me. maybe it’s because I have a masculine athletic build ???? plea help I’m sorry I’m kinda infiltrating but I feel like you folks might be the only people able to help and relate to this . Thank you in advance

I decided to cut my hair because screw it. The base was a different texture. Thankfully, I have naturally styled hair after rolling out of bed but, is it passing? I’m I an a supportive area but I still worry.

Can I please get some honest feedback on how I’m doing? (27 MTF)

I’d say I get gendered correctly about ~80% of the time, with most people who get it wrong correcting themselves after hearing my voice. My friends will tell me I look like a woman, but I just don’t see it. To me, I see an androgynous man wearing makeup. Idk if I’ll ever have the money for ffs, so I’m sorta worried this will be the best that I get. I’ve been on hrt for 7 years, so it’s not like much more is gonna happen

Around 80% of strangers gender me correctly now. Do I actually pass that well, or are people just being nice?

I'm about 5.5 months on HRT. This photo was taken right after something that made my day.

Today I was waiting for the elevator after grocery shopping. A little boy looked at me and asked his mom: "Are we going in the elevator with him? (elevator is small) " That honestly made me a bit sad, so I went upstairs alone.

Later my mom told me what happened after I left (she was there). His mom corrected him and said, "But that's a girl." He replied that my hair wasn't long enough, so he thought I was a boy. She explained that not all girls have long hair, then asked my mom, "Was that your daughter?" My mom said yes, and apparently the kid looked completely shocked. 😄

That made me incredibly happy. It also made me wonder... about 80% of strangers call me "miss" or "ma'am" now. Do you think they're genuinely reading me as female, or are people just being polite? I'd really appreciate honest opinions.

Part of me also wonders if it's just the style and makeup differences between the two phases of my life that are having that effect... I'd love to hear what you think! Thank youuuuuu!!

Edit: HRT for a little over 2 years now btw!

I feel like I’ll never truly be stealth. Even though everyone tells me I look cis, I’m constantly aware that I’m not, and I can’t seem to stop thinking about it.

I’ve been through all the therapy, and I’m starting to feel like giving up. I’ve never had a partner, and I’m scared I never will. I’m also afraid that I’ll never be happy with how I look, even though I’ve never been misgendered.

I know those things fshould probably make me feel better, but they don’t.

Posting this here too. I know that I need a better haircut; it stands up weird like that naturally because of a cowlick and I just don’t put a ton of effort into fixing that, but I’m gonna try for a better haircut sometime in the next few weeks.

Microdosed gel since August 2023, started normal dose gel in November 2024. Then switched to 0.25 injections last spring, and then to 0.3 injections in August which I’ve been doing since. Levels around 800 and that was about 4 days after my last dose.

I try and try to gain muscle but the hardest part is the diet, being ex-eating disorder. The outfit in picture 2 is what I wear most of the time, or sweatpants if it’s cold. Picture 4 is from a burlesque show I did and I feel like my hips are so fucking feminine there. It looks like love handles but they’re bony to the touch so they’re not I guess. I just feel like I look like a girl. Luckily I seem to pass in public I always get called sir even in my conservative hometown so that’s good, but still self conscious. Any (gentle and nice) tips appreciated I got a lot of insults in another subreddit so just be nice about it pls
