Thermal rifle scope as stud (and nail) finder

Post image

Just picked up an AGM Rattler V1 TS25-384 thermal rifle scope to help take care of a rat problem at night.

Pleasantly surprised to learn it’s also a fantastic stud and nail finder.

Didn’t even think to test, but I imagine it might work on Plumbing too… though I’m guessing that might depend on the type of plumbing and whether and for how long any water has been running through it. For example, my guess is an empty pipe might not be visible because the high thermal conductivity of metal means it would quickly take on the same temperature as the surrounding insulation… not sure, just a hypothesis

Leatherworking tools

After moving to a new country, I’m finally unpacking my leather workshop and tools. If you look closely, you can see that all the tools are worn, some are covered in glue and paint, the cutting mat is stained, and so on. But that’s exactly what tools look like when they’re actually used.

Just received these bad boys today. Of course Amazon messed up and broke the box, losing the 7mm in the process 🤡….

what spray guns are you guys using? I grabbed a pretty budget-friendly cordless model, and honestly, it’s been surprisingly solid.

Armstrong Tools ELIMINATOR Ratchet Set + MATCO TOOLS ALPF6 [OC]

Post image

The ELIMINATOR was Armstrong's take on the pass-through ratchet system.

The flex-head ratchet in this set is the MATCO TOOLS ALPF6, which shares the same design.

It's an interesting system that delivers excellent access where a conventional socket and ratchet become too bulky.

WÜRTH 3/8" Socket Wrench Set (42 Pieces) — A Brand That Deserves More Recognition [OC]

Post image

Würth doesn't seem to get much attention outside Europe, but I think it's a brand that deserves far more recognition.

This 42-piece 3/8" socket set is well made, the ratchet has a great feel, and the overall finish is excellent.

Does anyone else here use Würth hand tools?

I’m falling in love with the Koken range, It’s silky smooth to use and the finish is rock solid. The 3/8 swivel head is my go-to and I think it may outlive me.

Advice requested. Garden equipment so I can have an epic setup

Post image
5 Upvotes

I have a boatload of garden equipment for my garden shop and I’d like to hang it. I have multiple Stihl items and a few ryobi battery pieces. I’d like to hang the Kombi and my attachments, and my weed wacker, and my manual tools too (shovels, weeders, etc). Recommendations on the best bracket or hanging systems? Should I get a pegboard or more of a slider rail? What brands do you all recommend so they have enough space but can look clean off the floor?

Thanks in advance
