Infinity T5/T6 Pack

Upvotes

Alright, so I used the free keys I got from the summer event and got super lucky with a T5 and T6 choice pack. I've got a handful of T6 ships for my Fed and Kingon toons, but nothing for my Romulan delta recruit.

I spun up my first Romulan on this last delta recruit event, completed the tutorial and haven't touched them since. What ships do y'all recommend for my pointy eared fellow?

I did my best to make an attempt at screen accuracy but I wouldn't be surprised if I changed them to TNG colors in the near future.

Gonna give them a chance to grow on me tho lol

Discussion Made my own Celestial remodel

After learning how to use textures, I was able to make my own remodel of something I really want to see redone in game, the Celestial variant of the Galaxy class.

When I looked at the Celestial, I saw a take of a sorta "experimental Galaxy" using Ambassador parts. I extended this theme throughout the whole ship of my redesign, leaning heavily into elements of the Ambassador class.

I even came up with some lore for it

"Starship Database: Celestial class

As early as 2330, Starfleet had been exploring the means of larger cruiser classes as a means to curb aggression from other powers as well as make a long range and long deployment exploration cruiser. The first result was an unnamed cruiser class in 2337, before being named the Narendra class in 2345.

The next results culminated in the USS Celestial, NX-51075. In 2346, the prototype was complete and resembled a larger Ambassador, as the design was proven and capable.

Problems were immediately apparent however, as the the ship was incapable of going faster than Warp 6. A study into the problem found that the new warp engines, a requirement for the Next Generation Exploration Initiative, was too power hungry for the warp core or plasma relays to handle.

As the ship increased its Warp speed, the power draw resulted in relay overloads and plasma fires across the ship. Starfleet in response decommissioned the ship just as quickly and went back to the drawing board. The hulk of the USS Celestial was towed to Starfleet Storage Site Alpha.

Left for nearly 15 years as a hulk, the Celestial was then reactivated after the Next Generation Exploration Initiative, now the Galaxy Class Project finished. Newer power systems and relays were installed, and the Celestial, for the first time in 15 years, broke past Warp 7.

In 2364, she was fully commissioned as the USS Celestial, NCC-51075."

This is a fan made model. I have no association with Cryptic Studios.

Herald Omni question

Howdy fellow captains.

I've been using the Herald Omni since the '24 Demon Hunting event because I assumed it's proc applies to ALL weapons. I even did a comparison between that omni and the crafted one I had before and the Herald Omni performs slightly better. But I'm no expert in testing so I may very well be wrong.

So the question: is the Herald Omni proc applied globally or is it for the Herald Omni alone? If the latter than it's a pretty crappy weapon given the fact you need to 3 stacks to get the same amount of cat2 the crafted one gives you from the start. However, if the bonus is applied to all other weapons, on top of all the bonus they already have, then it's well worth it.

Thoughts?

Discussion How About Just a Stardive?

For a while now I've wanted a ship that was just the Stardrive Section of a Galaxy. It's always felt to me like that's what the Dominion War era Galaxys that Starfleet was cranking out half finished should have been. Now that the Aldrin is effectively just a Galaxy X Saucer Section, I want it even more.

Am I alone on this, or would anyone else be interested?

Event Campaign ships for my Reman

Hey everyone. Just looking for mostly opinions and a bit of advice. am going to get the Lexington as 1 of my T6 coupons for my Reman. I’m wanting to do something different since my Romulan does all the cloaking. what would be a good second ship for a console. Going full broadside with this baby. Don’t have a lot of other ships since I lost my Xbox account and started over on PS5. Also getting the Constitution III for my main so that’s out. Thank you all.

Any idea why they didn't add more modes Kelvin ships like the Heisenberg or Aegis class with the Connie design lineage?

The ships we got are all canon but also far from being the most modern ships in the Kelvin Fleet (Except Salcombe). Why not add a ship from the Comics? Like the Aegis for Connie fans

Console Anyone on console know how to get Caitian/Ferasan facial markings back?

The whole category is completely gone for me, and it's been gone for the length of time I've played this character, which is a long time.

I can still change the color of the markings, but not the actual markings themselves.

Dilex Digest - July 22

Hello Captains!

You know what I'm here for.

Yesterday my Dilithium Exchange offer from June 8 was accepted. When I placed the order the queue size was 12,306,214. Based on my start and end times, the hourly Zen throughput for that sale was 11,986 Z/Hr. My model assumes all offers are left in the exchange to completion because I don't have any way of tracking withdrawals. I know this is a flaw, but it's something I have chosen to tolerate. As of now, this is my most recent throughput data.

I placed a new offer on the exchange last night with a starting queue of 10,925,092. My first predicted ETA for this order is August 28. This is based on the throughput from the week leading up to June 8 and will be adjusted as offers made after June 8 are accepted.

Next Tuesday, July 28 I expect offers from June 16 to be accepted.
The following Tuesday, August 4, I expect offers from June 24 to be accepted.

My intent is for these updates to become more concise over the next couple weeks. I'm still trying to find the sweet spot in terms of how much context to provide.

🖖 💥

PS Salcombe trait and console

Hi all.

I fly an Achilles, and love it. I have a unrestricted T6 coupon and was thinking about using it on the Salcombe for the trait and console. Is it worth using the coupon for that?

Discussion Can we please get some small updates to the "Grant Diplomatic Immunity" buff?

Post image
77 Upvotes
  • First of all the ability to self-apply the buff, considering the amount of time required to reach the required commendation rank only for it to end up only being applicable to others. This alone would be a great user experience renovation;
  • The ability to apply it both on ground and space, not only sector space. This is mainly because in sector space people are scattered all across the place whereas many people are in social zones such as ESD, especially new players;
  • A small update to the benefit it gives, so that it would give a very tiny amount of "full impulse speed" (therefore out of combat, which fits within the perceived game fantasy of having a diplomatic benefit of being able to go pretty fast outside of combat)

In vein of this suggestion, one day I want to suggest some updates to the whole commendation system as a whole as well

"My will is our truth" - USS Sekhmet

Thumbnail

"Sekhmet" was one of the strangest Starfleet experiments within the Kelvin timeline. After the final destruction of the Narada, a number of Utopia Planitia design boards were assembled to try and revolutionize Starfleet naval power, worried of the potential for another ship like Narada to appear.

One such design boards was the Sekhmet project. Initially, it was two separate projects, one being a look into sensor absorbent paneling, and the other being research into warships controlled via Artificial Intelligence.

However, under unknown request from a higher up Starfleet officer, the two projects were put into one. An Armstrong class cruiser was acquired and modified, a lot of the decks replaced with automated systems, and the entire outer hull of the ship replaced with stealth panels. Finally, the bridge and most of the saucer's center were removed to fit a large scale AI core, of which had come to call themself "Sekhmet" just like the project, and so the ship was similarly named.

The first mission of Sekhmet was to try and gain access to Klingon space undetected, of which it (mostly) succeeded in. However, about 2 hours into the mission, a raptor type warship entered the same sector as Sekhmet, before pausing, and proceeding to start a security sweep. Under the impression they were caught, Sekhmet got as close as possible to the raptor, and fire two photon torpedoes into its lower hull, taking out its warp core and life support. Dead in the water, Sekhmet then dragged the ship into a decaying orbit with the nearest stellar body, before returning to the mission.

This tragedy cast heavy doubt on the program, with about 70% of the board leaving either in anger, concern, or fear. The project was ordered to be ended by Starfleet command, and Sekhmet to be taken to the Daystrom institute for psychiatric assessment. However, Starfleet's order was mysteriously canceled, with Sekhmet instead ordered to be "handed off" to an unknown party

Currently, Starfleet has little knowledge of Sekhmet's whereabouts, with investigations either prematurely canceled, unable to gain any necessary traction within Starfleet to go further, or simply turning up too little information.
