Barnes was one of the named side characters there from the start, and the she was presented made it seem like she was one of the more upper level ensigns, since she’d be a regular presence on the bridge.

It’s pretty amusing then that as the show progressed, she really seemed to be the complete butt-monkey of the ship, with one thing or another always happening to her, almost as if she was a comical take on the O’Brien Must Suffer running gag.

He's supposed to be Kirk of the 24th century no?

Back on February 18 of this year, I picked up a pencil, eraser, pen and a sketchbook and decided to draw Boimler. It was my first drawing of anything that wasn't just a quick, half-assed doodle in the corner of a notebook page in about 28 years.

Fast forward to this week (July 14 through 17), where I decided to grab a bunch of little screen grabs of different facial expressions and, using those as reference, redrew them from construction lines, while the reference document was on another screen.

Master Replicas is now accepting pre-orders for December 2026 ship. ($150 USD)

Had to mention this, since I own the Defiant MSD and it's very cool. Mine hangs over my TV, and is connected to a smart-plug that kicks on at dusk everyday. And the Cerritos version is larger and has a bit more art on it- including SFC and Cali-class badges.

Be advised, mine shipped 5-6 months late.
