I think it's getting hard to stand out in this genre with the recent wave of so many newer shoegaze bands. Looking for some good new shoegaze to listen to

Whirr, Nothing, Grivo, Cloakroom, Leaving Time, julie, Luster, newmoon, Animal Ghosts, Wild Nothing, pains of being pure at heart, Pity Sex, Circa Survive, Title Fight, Wand, Holy Wave, Dream Ivory, Hum, Beach House...Slowdive & MBV obviously...

NOT saying all of the above bands are shoegaze okay? I know how people love to argue in this sub. Some are more dream pop, post-punk, indie, post-hardcore, psych rock whatever. But these are bands I like. I am looking specifically for more good shoegaze bands though and am open to all suggestions! Thanks :)

I had this on casette... and played it for years until one of my kids took it out and unspooled it and destroyed it..... I looked for it on vinyl but damm it was expensive.... as maybe was not re-issued and so the originals were dammm pricey.

Last night... after paying Yo La Tengo's LP "Painful"... I just let Spotify play and a few hours later... this came up... and blew my mind as this maybe has very recently been added - the only alternative until now was to listen to on You-Tube on a low-fidelity rip....

I‘ve been looking at basslines for some classic Shoegaze tunes lately (when you sleep, when the sun hits etc), and they’re all so… boring? root notes in constant quavers the whole way through. I’m a bassist maybe looking to write some songs in this genre and I wondered if anyone had any examples of interesting basslines in shoegaze?

I know the EQD Aqueduct has a dynamic detune setting. I’m wondering if anyone knows of a plugin alternative? Even regular pitch vibrato plugins seem few and far between surprisingly. Help greatly appreciated!
