This feels like a stupid question, but I have a new phone, and the gaggle of previous pouches I'd bought because they all fit certain gear that was very roughly the same size (my phone, work phone, notebook, cuffs, blah blah blah) does not fit the phone with the case on it.

Unlike last time I tried to buy a phone pouch (years ago), I'm finding that every type of search I try to run is coming up with results for phone cases. Even if I throw hit it with the +pouch -case combo, it doesn't care.

I already have a phone case, which I'm very happy with, but I want a belt pouch to put the phone in with the case on it. Not a holster, not a clip, a pouch with a closure and some kind of positive fastening (ideally a buckle rather than a snap button or Velcro).

Phone is a Pixel 9, case is an OtterBox Defender. Anybody got any recommendations?

These are my previous 3 paychecks. My normal hours are Friday 10 P.M. to 6 A.M. Saturday 6 P.M. to 6 A.M. and Saturday 6 P.M. to 6 A.M.

32 hour weeks, week starts Monday morning.

I worked 12 hours on the 4th of July and as such, i was owed time and a half for holiday pay. Picture 1 shows i have those 12 hours of "holiday pay" but at my normal pay rate of $18.50.

I brought this up to my Supervisor at the time and she sent the information to our District Supervisor who assured me my pay would be fixed next weeks check.

2nd picture is next weeks check where i took that Sunday off. This depicted week we got a new supervisor. As shown in the 2nd pic. It says 26 hours (these hours are correct as me missing that Sunday takes 6 hours off that week and 6 hours the following week.) The holiday pay is still missing.

Shown in the 3rd pic is this most recent week's paycheck where they claim to have fixed my pay. I worked an extra 4 hours this last Sunday night so it was the 26 + the extra 4 meaning i worked the 30 hours. The 8 hours (at normal pay) was added on as my missed holiday pay from the 4th.

Going at normal pay rate (since that is what they paid me.) I'm owed a total of 18 hours of missed pay. (12 hours of time and a half is 12 normal hours plus half that for the full pay, which is 18 hours of normal pay.) After getting this paycheck, my supervisor called me and has told me that the pay "has been fixed and is accurate according to District Supervisor. When i claimed it was still incorrect, Supervisor has said "You know, you can argue or whatever, but District Supervisor says your pay is correct. So there'll be no more changes.)

Do i eat the 10 hours of lost pay, and if not, who do I go to to argue my case?

So I recently accepted job offer from Securitas. I am currently in process of watching endless boring videos online for training. Just wondering how soon do I get to actually start? When does orientation start? This is my first time working a security job so I have no clue the steps. Any input or anyone who has been hired recently by this company would be helpful!

I'm currently studying remotely for a BA in philosophy with a goal of becoming an account manager. Long term, I'd like to become a lawyer. I'm just wondering if having a degree will check the right box or if I should just do the degree because I want to be a lawyer and focus on experience while I work on my degree on the side.

​Just for some context: I am a competitive MMA fighter, so when it comes to physical fitness, stamina, reflexes, and managing physical pressure, I feel confident and prepared. However, I know that event security is a completely different beast and that crowd control, situational awareness, and verbal de-escalation are the real priorities here.

​What are the absolute essentials I should know for my first day? What are the classic rookie mistakes to avoid? Also, do you have any practical tips on things people usually overlook (e.g., best footwear, managing hours of standing, staying hydrated, dealing with concert-goers)?

Hey yall! For some context, I have a guard that may be overstepping a little too much. I have had other guards come up to me and complain about the person in question. One interaction between him and another was a bit confrontational, according to accounts of my other crew members. Im still a relatively new super(not even a month) so im unsure on how to approach this. I have been a lead before at another site but I've only ever worked with 1 other. The dynamic is different now. I have never had to deal with this before. Have you ever had someone act like they're in charge, even though they arent? If so, what did you do to solve the issue?

just getting into armed security but I've been in the security field for a few years. The armed license in my state is tied to the state police and not a specific company. In my state armed security is there to stop violent assaults and detain the perpetrator for law enforcement and that's it. We aren't really authorized to detain or use force for property theft or vandalism. Some companies prefer their guards to be hands off while others have duty to intervene.

As of right now I'm certified to carry and use a handgun, baton, taser, OC and handcuffs. The certification class covers all of the above. It's really common in my state for a company to request that the guard provide everything from equipment, gear and even uniforms. Most places I've interviewed with have said if I own it and are certified to carry it I'm good to carry it.

The actual sites I'm looking at are a sports stadium in a violent neighborhood, a large inner city drug store and a junior-senior high school in one of the worst neighborhoods in the city.

I'm curious what everyone's take is?

What do you guys do if you go to kick someone off property as an unarmed guard and as you try to kick them off property the person aggressively walks towards you at a fast pace and gets in your personal space? I never had this happen until I started working at this new site and now all of sudden every other 4 transients do that to me that I try trespassing.

I'm looking for some advice because I'm getting really frustrated.

I currently work as a flex security officer for Titan Security Group. When I was hired, I completed an availability form and clearly listed the days I could and could not work because I'm a full-time college student. Certain days are one of the days I'm unavailable due to classes.

Despite this, my scheduling manager continues to schedule me on those days. I've reminded her multiple times in advance that I have class and cannot work those shifts, but it feels like my messages are being ignored because the schedule never gets corrected.

I've already emailed HR explaining the situation and included that I had submitted my availability when I was hired And now I'm just waiting for them to get back to me on that. Now I'm wondering what to do if I'm scheduled again on a day that I already told them I cannot work.

As a flex officer, if they call me or schedule me on a day I'm unavailable and I refuse or don't answer because I'm in class, could I be disciplined or fired? Or is the company expected to honor the availability I submitted?

Has anyone else in security dealt with this? What's the best way to handle it without making things worse?

Austin Texas area. I have a "9-5" and am wondering about getting a part time security job, to work along side my "9-5" then maybe fully go security.

Basically I just want to try it out and idk if that's a thing. I'm also not really sure what they do... Seems to be a wide spectrum of security? Can someone point me in the right direction?

I was thinking about moving from my boring ass post here at this one corpo building (Allied Universal's dogshit management isn't helping lol) to something more mobile; preferably as a armored truck guard (not driver).

Hey I just got a job offer from allied universal for a flex security position, once a week, which works for me since I am a full time student. Anybody here had a job like this before any thoughts ?

So for my job site my both my employer and the customer have a strict policy of bot using physical force to remove someone regardless of there actions and to instead call our local police to remove them, the only caviate being if someone physically assaults us first we are allowed to respond accordingly. Now the issue is the site is a pretty rough one and we have had countless incidents with members of the public causing absolute mayham and we are unable to react or do anything other than kindly ask them to stop. A lot of times lately however when we have called our local police to remove violent and abusive people they have showed up and only moved them away from us but still left them on our property where they continue to cause a scene, damage property, be violent and so on and the police have said to us that if we want them removed we need to do so ourselves. When this is relayed to our company and client they ignore it and act like we didn't say anything and simply remind us we cannot go hands on unless we want to lose our job. So my question is what are my possible opportunities to handle future situations or that situation as a whole as I am at a complete loss of thought as to where to go from here
