I was an avid roleplayer from ages 15-18, but the Instagram roleplay community really died off (for literate rp at least). Is there any sort of gathering space for writers that is still active? I write long reply, fully literate, and enjoy generating unique plots and characters. I do not do fandom roleplaying. For me, it’s more of a creativity/inspiration hobby. Dying to get back into it!

I enjoy writing in a way that describes feelings, surroundings, and actions so the scene feels alive and easy to imagine. Typically, I usually write up to 4-6 paragraphs, depending on the response. I tend to lose interest if responses are very short or lack detail, so I look for partners who can consistently write at least 7-12 sentences per reply (bare minimum!!)

2) COMMUNICATION! I completely understand that life can get busy and unexpected things come up—we all have responsibilities and moments where we need to step away. That said, I really appreciate open and honest communication when it comes to roleplaying. If you know ahead of time that you’ll be away for a while or need to take a break, whether it’s temporary or permanent, it means a lot to simply get a quick heads-up. Also! I’m totally down for ooc chatting! I find it fun to get to know each other on a personal level and even sometimes helps make our roleplaying experience stronger! (That’s only if you’re comfy with ooc chatting ofc!)

3) RESPECTFUL! Please be respectful of my boundaries, just as I will always make an effort to respect yours. Mutual respect is really important to me, especially when it comes to creating a comfortable and positive environment for both of us. I want our interactions to feel safe, enjoyable, and free from pressure on either side. Now when I talk about boundaries, I’m mostly referring to things like not asking for personal details outside of the roleplay such as photos, social media, or other private information

I know that I've not come with a massive plot today, but that's because I'm hoping to find a partner who's willing to both help me to craft and explore a story based on the court of a kingdom, or even \*kingdoms\*, and the influence they have on the world around them.

A bit about me and my writing, I'm a multi-paragraph writer who takes up a third person, past tense perspective and I'm hoping for a cast of characters, each with their own motives and passions.

Beyond that, I have only a few requirements for what I'd like to see in a partner which include;

1. Given that I'm 18+, I ask that all of my partners are as well.

2. I would very much like for someone capable of playing multiple characters. NPCs are a must, but multiple developed characters, main or not, is a HUGE plus.

3. I'd like a partner capable of adding detail to their replies and using them to continue the story. I don't demand a dozen paragraphs per response, because I know that some replies just don't call for it, but I don't want to have to feel like I'm pushing everything along myself most of the time.

I also like pur characters starting as children, like 13, 14 cause it adds more time and potential for growth in my opinion. I dont really use proper plots. I like to world build, establish the villain(s) and go with the flow. Open world roleplay as I call it. Arcs, plots, etc can be made based off the actions of our characters.

Two years after the events of 2077, Night City has mostly gone back to its usual operation, Militech taking its place back as the king of the hill. News had come and passed of the legendary merc, V, slowly being replaced over whatever celebrity scandal or political affair took place that week. This week? Power outages around the city. Whole blocks torn away from the comfort of their ever-present distractions. The mayor has already addressed this as ‘faulty wiring’, barely comforting whatever unease the city has had.

Local organizations have already been on the trail. Some say Chicago is planning on overtaking the city. Others claim that those Pacifica netrunners are orchestrating some sort of coup. Though, no-one other than the top brass seem to know what’s happening. That being, sadly-

I want to do a more of a fluffy romance because life is beating my ass. Of course with that this roleplay will be more of a slice of life type of roleplay. But of course there will be drama and stuff.

For the plot I do not necessarily have one, I just want our characters to be dating when we start. My character I will be playing will have a chronic illness and more of a sunshine character so keep that in mind. I truly just want two characters who are very different to love each other and heal each other so with that in mind we can brainstorm more of a plot if you would like! But this can be FxF or MxF with my character as female. I would love to hear your ideas or just form a story with you! We can also have supernatural elements but my character will be human. I do not care how this roleplay goes as long as the relationship stays strong and cute.

My rules are quite simple but it helps me enjoy the roleplay. Please be at least 20+ as I am 22 as that is what I am most comfortable with, use 3rd person. Please be active, or at least decently active I do understand being a bit busy though. With the roleplay, please type like you are writing a book, use "" for talking and nothing for actions. i’m a 28 year old roleplayer looking to write with anyone who is 25+. for this plot, i’m looking to write a MxF or MxM relationship, and i am open to writing as either a male oc or female oc! completely your choice.

as the title says, i’m looking to write a story based around the plot of the movie “Obsession”. i want one of our characters to use the one wish willow in a similar fashion to the film, and create a story that blurs the line between true love and obsession.

this would include romance, smut and slice of life things while also eventually leading into a horror aspect that we can weave in. now i’m not necessarily the most into slowburns, which is why i think this plot will help fast track a lot of emotions in an intense fashion. you will also have to be open for darker themes for this plot!

i’m also open to various tropes for our character’s dynamics, but leaning towards our characters having been best friends friends since they were children, and one has wanted their relationship to be more than platonic for years.

the only thing i’m picky about for this rp is face claims. i use only real-life face claims and specifically actors who are decently well-known. i like to find inspo via gifs and mood boards, so having ample media helps. i like to imagine we’re casting for a movie—and that we are allowed to be picky! if this doesn’t work for you, then this roleplay will not work out, it’s a non-negotiable.

lastly, i roleplay only on discord. i give out usually a reply a day, maybe more. 2-5 paras is usually my length and i write in third person only.
