I'm looking for a long-term, literate, character-driven fantasy roleplay built around political intrigue, palace life, and morally complex relationships.

My character is a 19-year-old emperor who has only recently inherited the throne after the sudden death of his father. His coronation wasn't based solely on birthright—he carries the legendary Goddess-Blood Blessing, a divine gift said to grant extraordinary longevity and youth. More importantly, ancient legend claims that those who become the intimate partner of a Goddess-Blood Blessed ruler also gain centuries of youth and an unnaturally long life.

With the old emperor gone, every noble house, foreign kingdom, and religious faction sees the new emperor as the greatest political prize in the world. Marriage proposals flood the palace as ambitious families compete for influence over the throne.

However, the greatest threat comes from within the Imperial Palace itself.

My character's mother, now the Dowager Empress, has spent decades building her political influence. She knows that once the emperor marries, a new empress will replace her as the most powerful woman in the empire. Unwilling to lose everything she has built, she begins searching the forbidden archives of the High Temple.

There she discovers an ancient imperial tradition long abandoned by history. Before modern customs existed, the first consort of a Goddess-Blood Blessed ruler could be chosen from within the Imperial Bloodline to preserve divine succession. The practice disappeared centuries ago—not because it was forbidden, but because no ruler had ever invoked it again.

Believing that only she can protect both the empire and her own position, the Dowager Empress begins manipulating the court, the Temple, and the nobility to make herself the emperor's first consort. Whether her motives are political ambition, obsession, genuine maternal devotion twisted by fear, or something far more dangerous is something we can explore together throughout the RP.

I'm looking for someone interested in playing the Dowager Empress, though I'm also open to discussing other major roles if you have a compelling idea. The focus of the RP is psychological tension, political maneuvering, royal succession, court intrigue, religious influence, family dynamics, and the consequences of power. Romance, if it develops, should be slow, complex, and driven by character rather than instant attraction.

I love anything fantasy, medieval, etc. I only do original stories and characters. I'm hoping this will help me get back into writing.

I have no requirements writing wise. If you take 3 days to reply, then it takes 3 days. I don't need anything crazy paragraph wise.

If it's avoidable, I'd like to skip or leave it to the imagination when it comes to anything in the bedroom. If it happens, it happens. I'm not super picky.

With my own world, I have one main continent I am building. There are cities, villages, ports, kingdoms, etc. Each region is different: steampunk, medieval, some modern, futuristic, western, etc. I like to be able to work a little of everything in to keep it entertaining. I do have a distinct area I'd like to stay within for the first bit. After that, the world is free range.

Hi everyone! I'm 22 and female irl, currently looking to play the male character in an MxF pairing! I'm a literate, detailed writer, and I'd like the same from my roleplay partners! Typically, my replies consist of at least a few solid paragraphs, reaching well beyond the discord limit most of the time. Also, I only write in third person, and exclusively on discord!

I don't have anything too specific in mind at the moment regarding the story, I really do prefer to brainstorm and make something together! My biggest requirement would be a big focus on romance.. particularly of the adorable and heartwarming variety! We could stick to a modern-day setting or branch out into things like fantasy, scifi, apocalyptic, or anything else really! I definitely have some cravings, though, such as:

A golden retriever sort of male lead! I absolutely love to write a silly, affectionate, kind-hearted man! Perhaps with a hidden possessive side? Often, my men fit into the classic roles like a knight in shining armor, a firefighter, or a police man.. that sort of thing! We could either pair him up with someone who has "black cat" vibes or maybe someone who matches his energy! Your character is welcome to be a trans woman as well!

Tropes such as love/lust at first sight, obsessive and dependent dynamics, "us against the world" vibes, opposites attract, things like that!

Currently craving slice of life sorts of stories, but if you want other settings I'm more than happy to discuss!

I am once again searching for a long term writing partner because I've been struck by the overwhelming urge to take two fictional people with perfectly manageable problems and convince them that communication is actually the worst possible solution.

I'm 21, UK based, and write in a literate to novella style. I enjoy detailed replies, character focused stories, emotional tension, and spending an unreasonable amount of time analysing why somebody stared out of a window slightly differently than usual.

I mainly write modern settings, drama, slice of life, and grounded supernatural stories. Give me flawed characters making questionable decisions and I'll happily spend the next six months emotionally attached to them.

A quick note before we get into ideas: I write female lead characters only, but I'm happy to write opposite characters of any gender.

Some story dynamics I always come back to:

- Former friends forced back into each other's lives.

- Rich × poor.

- Success × failure.

- Thriving × barely holding it together.

- A public figure × someone completely unimpressed by them.

- A retired athlete trying to rebuild their life after a career-ending injury.

- A widowed parent learning how to move forward.

- Rivals who never quite learned how to be normal around each other.

- Two people who insist they dislike each other despite overwhelming evidence otherwise.

If a story revolves around complicated histories, contrasting personalities, misunderstandings, personal growth, difficult choices, or characters repeatedly making life harder for themselves, I'm probably interested.

One of my favourite dynamics is an emotionally guarded woman paired with an endlessly optimistic person who somehow ends up becoming part of her life despite her best efforts.

I also love plotting outside of the RP because that's honestly half the fun.

I enjoy building supporting casts, families, friendships, workplaces, recurring jokes, and all the little details that make a world feel lived in (AKA I spend far too much time on Pinterest).

If you enjoy collaborative storytelling, detailed writing, slow burn character development, and getting far too invested in fictional people making spectacularly bad decisions, I think we'd get along.

As to what a rewrite entails, it’s fairly straightforward. Literally whatever we decide, but typically:
Changing backstories, adjusting the setting, altering key events, moving characters around (whether that be changing their alignment or when they appear), and all that fun stuff.

I have ideas for basically every listed fandom for how we’d tackle a rewrite. I’d love to get someone to take a new spin on a series i hold dearly to my heart.

As a note, i’d strongly prefer for us to divide characters by gender (as in i’d take the males and you the females), fair to note with any series that lacks an even split of character genders we may genderswap to even things out.

I intend to keep original characters to an absolute minimum, please do not request to play as an oc or else you’ll be ignored.

I'd love for us to play characters that are Pokemon, with more human aspects! Like a slice of life, but with us playing as anthropomorphic Pokemon instead of humans! What kinds of Pokemon we are, what our lives are like, how the world has evolved and adapted with this in mind, I'd love to discuss it all with you! When I first met you, everything was innocent enough. After all, you were just a freshman in school. And, more importantly so, you were my girlfriend's younger sister. We were pretty friendly when we met, and I did think you had a cute thing going for you, but you were so young and your body hadn't quite developed, so I didn't really give it a second thought. I mean, you were Ashley's younger sister and I liked you, and you liked me - that's all that it needed to be.

Over the next year or so, we actually developed a pretty close relationship - kind of like a real friendship. I saw just how smart and funny you were, and just how charming you could be. But still, I only looked at you as a friend/Ashley's little sister. After all, Ashley is a major hottie, so how could I look at anybody else the way I look at her?

But that was all 5 years ago. Now you're a freshman in college and Ashley and I are about to be married. We're having our wedding in Ashley's hometown - your hometown - and it's happening in a week. So, we're both getting into town a couple of days early so that we can spend time with the family and get everything ready. I grabbed the suitcases from the trunk and we headed inside. I laid things down on the floor, and when I looked up, there you were standing in the kitchen doorway - and I couldn't help but stare. Watching you as you lean against the door frame, that innocent smile of yours now riddled with mischief, my eyes slowly moving up your body before coming to rest on your own eyes, watching me. I couldn't believe how attractive you had gotten over the years. I mean, Ashley's a hottie, but now you...I don't even have words to describe how gorgeous you look right now, especially with the sun behind you, accentuating your features. After a moment, I gather myself, giving you a wide smile, "Hey Ashley, there's a stranger in your house, and she looks super dangerous" I say with a soft laugh.

Each scenario on my list includes a small plot to help give us a clear idea of what the rp is about, It’s not necessarily the actual plot unless you’d like it to be, it’s just something to give us an idea and your welcome to edit it. Also! some scenarios are short/long term, so if you like choose an rp that’s short-term but would prefer it to be long-term, your also welcomed to editing the plot it make it last longer.

Now I do have a few rules:
1) DESCRIPTIVENESS! I really value thoughtful, immersive conversations, especially when it comes to roleplaying. For me, the experience feels much more engaging when the responses are detailed , emotional, and meaningful rather than being short or rushed. I enjoy writing in a way that describes feelings, surroundings, and actions so the scene feels alive and easy to imagine. Typically, I usually write up to 4-6 paragraphs, depending on the response. I tend to lose interest if responses are very short or lack detail, so I look for partners who can consistently write at least 7-12 sentences per reply (bare minimum!!)

2) COMMUNICATION! I completely understand that life can get busy and unexpected things come up—we all have responsibilities and moments where we need to step away. That said, I really appreciate open and honest communication when it comes to roleplaying. If you know ahead of time that you’ll be away for a while or need to take a break, whether it’s temporary or permanent, it means a lot to simply get a quick heads-up. Also! I’m totally down for ooc chatting! I find it fun to get to know each other on a personal level and even sometimes helps make our roleplaying experience stronger! (That’s only if you’re comfy with ooc chatting ofc!)

3) RESPECTFUL! Please be respectful of my boundaries, just as I will always make an effort to respect yours. Mutual respect is really important to me, especially when it comes to creating a comfortable and positive environment for both of us. I want our interactions to feel safe, enjoyable, and free from pressure on either side. Now when I talk about boundaries, I’m mostly referring to things like not asking for personal details outside of the roleplay such as photos, social media, or other private information
