INDX Founder Edition Kit – Gauging interest for a potential collective / group action

Hi everyone,

Like many of you here, I’ve been following (and dealing with) the ongoing situation regarding the INDX Founder Edition Kit.

Given the lack of resolution and clear outcomes so far, I am currently exploring options for a collective consumer action (such as European representative actions / group claims handled through accredited consumer protection organizations).

Why this post? Before reaching out to consumer protection bodies or legal organizations—which require proving a collective prejudice—I want to simply gauge how many of us are in the same situation and would be interested in standing together.

What this IS:

  • A preliminary headcount to see if we have a critical mass of affected backers/buyers.
  • An initial step to explore structured, formal legal or consumer rights avenues together.

What this IS NOT:

  • No money required: This is purely an exploratory effort.
  • No personal data collected: You do not need to share sensitive personal information right now.

How to express interest: If you own or backed an INDX Founder Edition Kit and would be interested in being part of a group inquiry/claim:

  1. Drop a quick comment below (or send me a DM if you prefer to remain private).
  2. Upvote for visibility so other affected owners can see this thread.

Depending on the response and the number of people interested, I will compile an update and share the potential next steps openly with the community.

Thanks for your time, and let's keep the discussion constructive in the comments!

Been having issues with the first layer just not being squished down enough at all . Just about everything comes off the plate with every print . It’s really getting kind of annoying at this point . Did the new firmware update and updated the profiles in Prusaslicer to match ….. needless to say it didn’t work

Unboxing Time! People should start buying Prusa if you want to have a valid competitor against Chinese brands. Otherwise Prusa is forced to keep prices way higher and things wont‘t change.

Printing the Prusa planetary gears model in PETG, orange and white is Prusament, gray and blue are Polymaker and CookieCAD respectively. Love a good fidget and I wanted to do a 4 color print now that the nozzle cam is working: https://youtube.com/live/noKX9_35E-U?feature=share

3D Print Software

Is there a consensus on what software is a good balance between functionality and ease of use for those new to 3D printing? I'm looking between Solidworks and Fusion. What is everyone's recommendation?

INDX Cold Pull

When can we expect an automated cold pull procedure in the control section?
Core One and XL both have them and I’ve already did a manual cold pull in the INDX.

Print of the Month SETI Game Organizer in two-tone

Post image

SETI is an awesome game, but a mess to clean-up and store after a session. And starting it takes ages due to the amount of pieces you have to set-up.
Luckily I found this amazing organizer from "Ohm" (https://makerworld.com/en/models/903042-seti-boardgame-insert-organizer#profileId-862521). Since I only have my trusty old MK3s I resorted to using only two colors, including some saved-up remains of one of my favorite, but not available anymore, colors "Prusa Pearl Red" (could you maybe bring that back)?
A lot of manual color swaps later, and the game is now a breeze to set-up and store!

(For the contest, my handle is @Pyron_10340)

Prusa App Optimized for INDX?

Will the Prusa mobile app have an update that allows better communication with INDX. I do alot of repeat printing so I usually just print from my history on the app, but there is currently no way to select which toolhead the print uses when i go to print from my history. Will that ever be an option?

Question/Need help 4 spool dryer recommendation

Hi everyone, with the INDX 1st batch inching in closer and closer, I realized that I need to step up my drying game. I would appreciate your 4 spool dryer recommendations and why this model.

I saw that Sovol, Creality and Sunlu all have a dryer, if anyone knows who’s the better of them.

Thanks for the help!

Question/Need help 1.5mm nozzle

Thumbnail

Today I dug through the 3d printing parts box and realized that I had like 5 v6 0.4mm nozzle's, so I decided to turn one of them into a 1.5mm by using a precision drill.

This print was made with 1.4mm layer height and 50mm/s (it was about 300gr and took just under 4 hours to print) on the generic prusa profile with minimal editing, ngl I need some help because I have no idea what I need to optimise to get the speed/the quality to be better.

One of the things that I found most fascinating was how fast the plastic was moving, taking into consideration the fact that it was almost printing as the same diameter as the spool itself.

I'm open to anyone willing to help (:

INDX and Color Mixing is Next Gen

Upvotes

Putting aside there should have been very large "BETA" posted on every page for INDX along with other issues, Wow. I'm very excited seeing how this came out, to be clear these are all mixed colors and not loaded on my machine.

Full disclosure based on youtube videos and since I'm not printing in PLA, I opted for a purge tower, which is already way smaller than MMU. I expect these issues will get ironed out fairly quickly.

Question/Need help Can you recomend which prusa model to get for a new guy?

Upvotes

Question in a title. Have some experience with industrial laser cutters and other technical cnc equipment, looking to dive in 3d plastic. After some consideration, decided to get prusa instead of bambu. Gona use it mainly for personal stuff and friend requests like some small figurines or plastic parts, but also want to have possibility to do something complex if needed.

And side question: what is average lifespan of 3d printer in years if i use it on average 2-3 days per week?

Question/Need help Thin stringing on a brand new PETG - Mk4s

I have been trying to get the very thin strings away (maybe even that called Oozing ?)

it gets really extreme when printing large objects, and it is basically almost covering the entire inner parts - makes it hard to get rid of post-print

Information:

- Mk4s with latest Released firmware (just updated a few days ago)

- PrusaSlicer 2.6.9

- Both spools are brand new Polymaker PETG, printed at 235C - taken pretty much directly from Prusament PETG

if needed I can just drop my settings - would be happy to get a direction and i'll try a bunch of new settings !

Sequential printing with INDX on Core One

I ran a sequential (object-by-object) print on my Core One with INDX. The slicer accepted it and it does show the INDX head geometry in the collision check, but I don't think it factors in the travel the head makes when swapping filaments, only the normal printing moves.

Print failed. Could have been the head clipping a finished object, could have just been bad first layer adhesion, I can't tell from what's left of it.

Has anyone actually run sequential prints with INDX and multiple colors? Did it work, and if so did you leave extra clearance between objects than you normally would? Or is this just not supported and the slicer isn't warning about it?

Solved✔ Iron top layer in one go? - INDX

Is there anyway to force ironing of the entire top surface once all colours are down? Instead of ironing each colour individually after each one is down

Question/Need help Core One L VFA on Balanced?

Thumbnail

Upvotes

Hi all, I’m fairly new to the Prusa world, came from Bambu to check out the goods on the C1L and I was always told they the balanced profiles helped eliminate the VFAs on the prints. I’m printing the Prusa helmet and am getting a lot of VFA (see picture). I am using Hatchbox Silk PLA using the Hatchbox profile, 0.20 Balanced profile

For context, the printer has HULA feet on it right now, sitting on top of a cement paver, which is sitting on top of a antivibration mat, on top of carpet

Question/Need help Prusa Slicer, how to keep parts from dropping to the bed?

I think I have seen this mentioned somewhere before, but can't remember where or what the actual "fix" was.

Basically I'm trying to figure out what I need to change so parts stop dropping to the bed by default if I move things up and off the bed. I'm wanting to be able to reassemble some already cut parts and make them one complete thing again, and I think I have only seen mention of changing something per part, but I am wanting to change it as a more "permanent" or slicer wide thing or whatever, as some of the models have a bunch of parts.

I'm used to Simplify3d where I can move parts anywhere within the print/screen space and they will stay where I put them.

Looking for a Core One+ top lid

With all the upgraders, I’m wondering if someone is willing to sell and ship their not needed top lid to Greater Boston. Mine has a crack that I worry will get larger over time.

EDIT: I found the plexi set from Prusa but I only need that one panel.
