Help Propagation tips

Hello! I've received this rubber plant cutting from a trip to Greece yesterday and I'm not sure if I should keep it as it is in water or propagate in perlite. I saw multiple people saying the cutting should be smaller but I also saw this video and the cutting was much bigger than mine.

The cutting came from a 20 year old tree, it was gigantic and absolutely beautiful! I already removed the lower 3 leaves, might take another leaf, but I really really want to keep her alive.

Is my hen and chicks okay like this?

Hi! I got this cobweb hen and chicks plant in May. The photos are when I bought it vs. what it looks like now.

Over the past two months, it got tighter and lost its pinkish tint. The info slip said it blooms in June-July, and don’t think that’s happened either. I’ve been keeping it on my south-facing balcony.

Wondering if this is normal or if there’s anything better I can do for it? Any help would be appreciated it! 😊

Hi!! I just collected rainwater from the rain gutter, and it’s a bit cloudy from the sand (pretty sure). I live in El Paso so it makes sense there was sand on my roof lol.

if not safe to use, how can i filter it so there’s no sand/dust?

Help Spider mites?

Could this snake plant have spider mites? I don’t see any bugs, and I’m sorry these are the best photos I could get but you can kind of see webbing. Also showing full plant photos so you can see condition. Thank you!
Sits near SE window but needs to be closer. I only got it 3 weeks ago and was pulling it down to move it to more light and check soil to see if it needs water.

I just moved into a new home last week, and this plant is in the garden. i was curious as to what it was, and how to care for it (assuming it’s not a weed). the garden is a mess and i’m gonna go through and clear it out when it cools down but i wanted to know what this was before i go and pull it out. it’s in a garden with dill, green onions, rhubarb, lavender and a few other flowers.

Please help me save my lavender

Hello, fellow green thumbs!

Just started getting into gardening as a hobby this year, so still very much a beginner.

As pictured, since buying a lavender in early July this year; it has really struggled and looks like it is going to die, sadly!

I’ve been watering it weekly when bone dry, but have read conflicting advice on how often to water it during the British summer.

Any advice on how to save the plant, or do I have to accept it is a goner?

Thanks so much!

Discussion What happened to plnts ?

Post image

So i've been a customer of plnts since around covid started, never have had any issue, discovered great varieties of plants with the surprise box. Last few order for myself this year had a few plants that were not up to standard ( like a baby frydek that was juste barely out of the corm and a rotted syngonium) but still okay... But today i ordered for my office and i got this...

Where did the green packaging went too ? Plants were crashed under the fertilizer bottle that was just dropped in the middle.

Also why do i have only the " nursery ordinary standard starter pack" type of plants in here ? It's only basic things you can find in any local store not even specialized in plants...

So i was wondering if it's the same for some other people or dis i just have a "bad batch" ?

Also am i the only one noticing that the overall quality went down ?

Got this plant as a small cutting back when I first got into plants, and it hasn’t bloomed for me until this year. It was well worth the wait, it looked magical.

Can you tell me how to care for a ficus?

I recently got my first ficus. I think it's called Ficus elastica Ruby. I love its playful color, but I'm really worried that this variety will be fussy.

❁ Tell me how you care for your ficus. Are there any special care requirements?
