Shitpost Riddle me this Uber Eats
Has anyone had this before? Food rocks up at the door, I go out and grab it and it's half eaten and not what I ordered. I understand orders stuffing up but half eaten is disgusting. The weird this is it's a local pizza shop so they don't even sell that rice abomination. When I checked the camera when it was dropped off, even the girl delivering it looked at it weird before putting it down. So rank! The pizza place are cool people so I have no idea where the stuff up is from

Politics Thoughts on how Cook could ease cost of living pressure.

I dare say a lot of us just got this mail.
And it got me thinking "These payment things are just stupid, why not do something that genuinely benefits all Western Australians in the first place".
So what should that be? I'm thinking just not collect GST and screw the Feds. Scrap Stamp Duty (and somehow not send the housing market bonkers), same with Rego - can it be suspended for a year and not mean everyone else goes and buys a RAM? A meaningful drop in power prices? Somehow replace all state-level taxes with a single new one based on <something>?

Looking for Advice Apprenticeship at the age of 34
I'm 34, will be relocating to Perth in about 3 months, Cabinet Maker, considering plumbing. Would they hire someone at this age to plum things even as a TA or a labour? Am I being pessimistic?

General Anyone bought something you only used once or twice?
Anyone else have a garage full of stuff they bought for one job and never used again? Curious how common this is in Perth specifically, thinking about ways to make idle equipment more useful locally.

General Lived Experience Peer Worker Jobs NOR
Just putting this out there. Does anyone happen to know of any places hiring casual lived experience peer support workers in suicidality and suicide bereavement, particularly in the northern suburbs?
I have lived experience in suicide bereavement (I lost my husband to suicide) and subsequently experienced my own battle with suicidal ideations. I am now recovered (from my own mental health struggles) and I am passionate about helping others.
I’m currently studying a Cert IV in Peer Work online and my Masters in Suicidology but I’d really love to start working casually ASAP.
Thank you.

Looking for Advice Odyssey in 4DX screen?
Hey,
I've seen The Odyssey once (in IMAX) and apart from recommending ear plugs, really enjoyed it. My wife is now keen to see it again in the 4DX screen at Innaloo. Has anyone been?
Curious as to weather the seats and action add's to the experience, or weather its just a gimmick and feels like sitting in a fairground rollercoaster getting bashed about...

General Would u rather call, message, or book for a residential painter?
Hi friends! I have a house painting business and needed some insight. If u wanted to get a free on-site quote from a painter would u rather call them, message them, or book a time from their online booking system?
Edit: Lots of people are saying booking online. If u chose the time and I called to confirm is that good, or would you rather I message to confirm?
General PSA: Try not to be sick, injured, or dying in Perth this afternoon.
Current wait time at Fiona Stanley ED: 7 hours 45 minutes.
ps. We need a resource tax.
Edit: a lot of assumptions made in the comments here. There are a lot of sick and elderly people in this waiting lounge who deserve a better standard of care than this.
Stay safe all 💜

General Wilson Parking - Perth real time availability
OK so first up I'd really prefer to not be considering parking at Wilson car park
But new job and not a great area for parking. A Wilson car park is best located.
How do you see real time availability of parking bays at Wilson car parks in Perth?
Google indicates you can do it in either website or app. I don't see it in either.

Renting / Housing Lease renewal advice (Perth NOR)
TLDR: how do I professionally let our PM know I’d like to renew the lease for another year.
Hi all. I was looking for some advice regarding the renewal of the lease. This is my first time renting through an agency (I rented privately for 4yrs) when we rented privately we would just email 1-2 months prior and ask if the landlord was still happy to renew the lease another year. We were on extremely good terms with that landlord, we had maybe 3 inspections in that time etc.
Now I am renting through an agency, when we signed onto the lease they said that 2yrs would be great but standardly the lease will say one year, and then renew it for another year if all parties are happy. It expires late October. When should I be emailing to express that we would still like to stay another year? We got a new PM recently who is not as nice as our previous lady, and we are going on a trip right before it renews so I want some peace of mind that we won’t get back from our trip to find out we have 2 weeks to move.

Where to find Has anyone else had this issue with this place? Anyone know of any good places?
Lawyer help needed please.
I'll 100% admit I was greatful to get an appointment here so quick as I have a very limited time to submit an appeal.
I'm sure the other lawyers here are great, and I copped the one bad one.
Has anyone else had a bad experience with a particular law service in East Victoria Park, starting with ' S?'
I was talked over when I tried to correct things, I was shutting down and the lawyer was getting annoyed at this, despite being apparently trauma informed and knew about my Neurodivergence.
I was also asked why I never confronted the perpetrator of the a*use, amongst other things.
Does anyone know any good community legal centres out there who can help with compensation rejection appeals, or any good pro-bono lawyers that can help with criminal injuries claims rejections?

Looking for Advice Perth NBN/Internet prices, what are you paying?
I have had another price increase to my NBN/internet effective from next month to $91. Is this an average price for Perth?
I am with Belong and have had no issues (so far) with the service and I'm probably going on 10 years, if not more.

General Is it time to bring back rental e-scooters/bikes in Perth?
Just spent a holiday in Europe and it has just been so easy and cheap to get around. Obviously many many cons to it but I believe the time savings, cost savings and convenience by far outweighs the downsides to it. It would make uber pricing more competitive too, and there is a clear shift around Perth of more safer bike corridors being added in. It makes a lot of sense.
