Has anyone seen an official statement about whether they plan to toll the current bayway? The original plan was to toll the bridge and new replacement bayway. With the new 2-phase plan they list out the tunnels, africatown bridge, and causeway as remaining free.. but they never mention the current bayway.

Does anyone commute from Mobile to Pensacola? Do you drive or carpool? I have a job offer but the designation is 1-1/2 hrs away. I can’t move because I had to go into forbearance as soon as I purchased my home two years ago for hidden defects that were not disclosed or reported on the inspection. So if I sale I would not qualify for an apartment or another mortgage.

Does anyone know the story on the Drury Hotel off airport? Particularly why they demo'd the old building just to built a new one on the lot? How jacked up does a building need to to *level* it rather than remodel?

I was in Dallas not too long ago and was told about a group of people that all get together once a week to go to a different dive bar around the city. I know Mobile has a concentrated area of bars in downtown on Dauphin Street but there are so many other bars all around the city that I normally wouldn't go to alone. Is there already a group in Mobile that does something similar to this? It would be a decent way to meet new people, find good deals, and explore the hidden gems in Mobile.

I’m an EMT starting at a station with 24 hour shifts and will be living without a roommate in 2 months. I’m looking for either a day care/ boarding situation for the days I work or someone to walk him at least once preferably twice the days I work. I’ll work 3 days one week 2 the next. The Role:
You'll run our booth at local farmers markets — pouring samples, sharing the story behind Sunshine Tonic, as well as other emerging flavors and seasonal specials, and turning curious passersby into customers. This is a face-to-face sales and hospitality role, not just a table-sitting gig.

What You'll Do:

• Set up and break down the booth (tent, table, product displays, signage)
• Greet and engage market-goers, offer samples, explain our botanical ingredients and no-plastics philosophy
• Handle sales transactions efficiently while managing cash or digital payments securely
• Track and report sales, restock needs, and market feedback
• Represent the brand positively at all times, embodying professionalism and enthusiasm during market hours

Schedule:

• Weekend and some weekday market hours (typically 3–5 hour shifts)
• Flexible, part-time scheduling based on market calendar

What We're Looking For:
