Yesterday, Tuesday July 21st, you picked up my son, R, at around 12:15pm. To take him to the animal hospital. With our sweet cat, Shmoopy, who was hours from death. It didn’t occur to me to request a pet ride. I was crying so hard I could barely see.

And I want to thank you for not canceling. I know you had every right to cancel. Especially since you are allergic to cats.

We went to bed Monday night knowing Shmoopy wasn’t going to live to see 2027. But that she wouldn’t live past 1pm yesterday? It wasn’t on our mind. And when we woke up Tuesday? She wasn’t great. But then she began having seizures. And we knew we couldn’t wait for the vet appointment.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. And my sons. You got them there safely. And Shmoopy was finally free of pain. And it sucks. This is the worst part of having pets. And you helped make the worst day of this year just a tiny bit easier. So thank you so much.

My current therapist is lovely but it can be difficult to explain how peculiarly soul crushing this profession can be to someone who isn't that familiar with it. After the World Cup I want to do a better job supporting local soccer in the country. I noticed we had a USL Championship expansion team announced a few years ago, with a deferred 2026 launch date. That’s the last bit of news I can find, and it doesn’t seem like that is happening. Does anyone know the status of this new team? Coming to town end of next month for the Rangers series, we are ballpark chasers. Planning out our itinerary and need some advice. Staying downtown, no car. Interests; breweries, art, local sights, good food. Husband and wife, 30s.

Things want to do; Art Museum, Lakefront Brewery, Pabst Brewery Tour (tours run 11/12-4pm), Miller Brewery Tour (tours run 10-3pm)

Plan on taking the free shuttle buses from the bars to and from the games each day, will pre-game at the bars. Probably try a different bar/shuttle each day

Fri - Land 9:30am, was planning on taking public transport to hotel. Ditch bags. Thinking maybe trying for 12pm Best Place at The Historical Pabst Brewery tour, will walk 20mins from hotel. Do I need to prebook the brewery tours? Will they sell out? Either bus to Downtown/3rd Ward to explore or walk back to hotel if room ready, will probably want to take a little rest after flying in, after break, explore Downtown/Third Ward. St Paul for lunch/dinner. Pre game at bar and take shuttle to game. Baseball 6:40pm, want to get to stadium early to explore, check out tailgaters

Sat - Bus to Art Museum for 10am opening, Bus to Lakefront Brewery for lunch. Bus to back to hotel. Pregame bar, shuttle to game. Baseball 6:15pm

Sun - Baseball 1:10pm. Thinking of maybe doing 10am Miller tour, bus is direct to Brewery, however would have to take rideshare to stadium afterwards. Would do a tour after the game, but all will have finished by then. Thinking of taking it easy after the game, walk the riverfront if haven't already, any downtown sights we have missed.

Mon - Renting a car this day, returning it at airport at 4pm. Planning on having Sollys and Koops for either lunch/early dinner. Do a brewery tour, if haven't already done one. Perhaps go to Mitchell Park Domes, maybe do a Pabst Mansion Tour.

TBH not having a car during the weekend, I'm kinda struggling scheduling everything using the buses, but I don't want a car for the entire trips as hotel parking is expensive. Looking for help ordering activities around better? I've read that Lakefront Brewery is best on a Friday for Fish Frys but don't think we'd be able to fit that in with the baseball that night as well. Not looking to do a tour there. Thinking I might have too many possible tours.

Any help is appreciated, struggling scheduling everything around the games and public transport.

Does anyone have recommendations for a memory care or even dementia friendly assisted living that accepts Medicaid upon admission? My mother is on Medicaid and I’m not altogether pleased with her current assisted living facility but I think finding proper care may be harder under her circumstances (we have been struggling to find another place working with MyChoice case worker). I suspect the lack of support is not unique to her facility but have any of you had loved ones on Medicaid who found good care?

(Adding 1. I was her caregiver and it was destroying my life, I’m an only child with no family support and I visit her daily now that she is in a facility and 2. there are some very sweet caregivers where my mom is, not trying to drag them, but overall the level of care is incredibly disappointing and I’m stunned by how bad the admin is).
