It wasn't until Jonathan Majors decided to derail the MCU's plans with some terrible life decisions. You can argue all you want about how good Quantumania was or what the "Kang Saga" could have been but let's be real. Some of you love to complain just to complain.

Secret Wars was always the end plan looking back to when they unveiled the roadmap four years ago but Doom wasn't the one to take us there. From my understandings of the Secret Wars comic series that Doom is a major part.

We've had a slew of meaningful films and series that were taking this to a potentially great arc. I absolutely loved Loki and WandaVision. Thunderbolts and F4 are two major films that will be great lead ins. I saw the film is on track to be longer than either Infinity War or Endgame, and I for one am super stoked to see how they put everything together because there are so many directions they can go with this. Let's keep our fingers crossed that Secret Wars stays on track to release next year.

I screamed when I saw the moment they gave our boy James Marsden in the trailer, and I know I'm not alone to be excited about the mutants supposedly being the next direction.

Some people online already seem 100% convinced that she'll be playing *that* specific character. I'm wondering how you guys would feel if they reveal that it's actually a different character and not what almost everybody expects at this point.

(Made the post a bit vague to avoid spoilers, but I think you guys know which character I'm talking about.)

In the original novel Dracula, Count Dracula makes Paprika Hendl for Johnathan Harker while he's a "guest" in his home.

Paprika Hendl is basically the same thing as Chicken Paprikash, and in both the "guest" only discovers they're actually a hostage when they try to leave.

Also, both Vision and Dracula are things that appear human - but aren't.

It could be a coincidence, but a funny one either way.

Why would immortal beings who know each other to be ageless and permanently bound to the forms they are in care if one of them looked young? One of the big issues of why Sprite couldn't be with Ikaris is because she looked young, but why would that matter to immortals? It just seemed like a bad reason to include

TL;DR: Battleworld will be built on the existing foundations of The Void.

So I've been thinking a lot about how exactly Doom is going to bring about Battleworld, and if you listen to a lot of the YouTubers and leakers, the assumption is that he'll combine the incursing remnants of the 616, 828 and 10005.

The question remains: How? Even with his vast powers, rewriting reality to piecemeal the three universes without the Beyonders or Molecule Men (or even the Infinity Stones) seems impossible, until you think of the one place he could not only merge the three, but other universes as well:

The Void. I think everything's going to come down to the Void being ground zero for Battleworld's formation.

Consider what we seemingly know: The Void sits outside of time, at the very center of the Nexus where the timelines encircle it... or did prior to Loki's intervention. Whenever the TVA pruned a branched timeline, it didn't appear to send the entire planet Earth or universe to the Void, just whatever was affected in the immediate vicinity. A Helicarrier here, a city there. Depending on how big the area affected, it became just another part of the Void's landscape. And somehow, all of these parts from various timelines were able to exist in close proximity til Alioath had his fill.

From how the trailer presented it, the 616, 828 and 10005 will begin a three-way Incursion, bring each into the orbit of the others. Someone somewhere mentioned it being due to the planetary cores merging and forming the heart of what would become Battleworld. I don't believe that to be the case, not entirely. We know Doom has a fixation on Franklin Richards, who is able to rewrite reality on a scale that makes Wanda's reality-bending magic look like a parlor trick. And since we know Loki's going to play a decent part in the movie, one would assume Doom makes his way to the TVA at some point.

So here's the recipe....

Take Reed's world-transporting tech from First steps, add in a heaping helping of the TVA pruning tech supersized to move them where he wants i.e. The Void, layer in a large portion of Franklin's reality powers to stitch everything together (and a pinch of Latverian megalomania to taste) and voila!

Battleworld, right where the Void already exists.

He'd already have access to countless parts of different realities as well as Variants of existing characters already in the Void, a gigantic freely branching Timeline from which to cherrypick even more places and peoples from to add to Battleworld once Doom co-ops Loki's abilities, and a place outside of time that no one can get to.. not unless he wants them there. The only real hiccup would be Alioath, and if Kang could bring it under his heal, no doubt Doom could easily do the same.

Are you guys worried about Marvel’s recent VFX firing and how that could affect the quality of the next movies over the couple years. I’ve seen what they could do, especially in the original Ironman, where even those 2008 suit look so lifelike and amazing, but over the last couple years the qualities went down due to the fact that they were overworked and Marvel used quantity over quality. What do yall think?

So Thor crying over Deadpool in Deadpool and Wolverine, it's a throw away gag.

But remember, if they can reuse something to save money, they'll do it.

And since Thor is the catalyst of Doomsday to show what we're up against, (like how Thanos tickled Hulk and knocked him out in the beginning of infinity war) we know hes in Doomsday. And I'm thinking Deadpool is going to show up. Especially because he's in the Fox universe and we know that them specifically are in the movie. AND Deadpool saw Thor crying over him so he'll definitely go towards Thor if he's in the movie. ALSO also Marvel is doing a reset so perfect timing to kill off characters, makes the movie better.

But remember the golden rule, Nothing ever happens.

After the Doomsday trailer. I don't think America is missing I think she is already fighting Doom. And the Jean from Brand New Day is one of the heroes she has saved from an incursion.

America is the only known being capable to travel through the multiverse with a innate ability. An ability with a unlimited potentially that even someone as Wanda hunted her to obtain this power. And at the end of Multiverse of Madness she starts to train her power at Kamar-Taj, so by now she must have some level of master over it.

So what if by the time of Brand New Day, America has already been fighting incursions and has already encountered Doom. She has become an obstacle that disrupts Doom's schemes.

She could be applying a strategy based on the lessons of her master, Doctor Strange, even if she doesn't like. Instead of saving billions she can only save the ones she thinks could defeat Doom in the next battle.

So America follows Doom into a universe where mutants are the core heroes and she realizes that the Jean of this universe has the potential to become one of the most powerful rivals of Doom. She tries to convice Jean to leave and fight the next day with the team she is building up, but Jean doesn't want to leave. She wants to stay and fight. And at the last stand when Doom is about to end them both, America opens a portal and gets Jean out. Then everything goes wrong during the escape. Doom manage to destabilize the portal, and America and Jean are thrown into different universes. This how Jean lands on Earth-616. Meanwhile America somewhere else, injured, and trying to go back.

I think this could explain why this Jean we see in Brand New Day could be so aggressive. It is not because she's evil, but because she is alone, traumatized and she doesn't know where she is.

Maybe DODC  detected when Jean crossed the fabric of reality just like Beast detected when Monica did in The Marvels. Maybe that's how DODC finds her. Not because they know she is a superhuman or a mutant, but because their systems detect this event. I think that not all Metzger's dialogues in the trailer are part of the same conversation, but they are already two different conversations. When he mentions the threat "We can't control... We can't even see" I think he is taking about the multiverse as far as the DODC is starting to understand it. And when he says "You're the only one who is immune to it" he is talking about Jean.

So what would be Jean's plan in the movie? Jean wants revenge against Doom, for her world and her loved ones. She just simply knows she can't trust anyone here. So she is building up her way out of this universe. That would make sense with Sadie's character, Jean, being confirmed to be in Doomsday.

I like that if this is true, Peter and Jean would mirror each other. Peter chose isolation. Jean didn't choose it. She was forced into it when her universe died. They are both carrying loneliness, but for different reasons. And I think that this resonates with what Tom said about the meaning of community in this movie.

And America? I think she comes back. Maybe in the post-credit scene or maybe in Doomsday. She becomes the first hero trying to stop Doom before anyone on any universe even realizes a war has already begun.

Of course he wasn't as well known before then so he wouldn't have as big of mainstream audience like Batman or Spider-Man

But

The concept is a pretty easy sell no? He has a cool armor, a bunch of toyline potential, all that good stuff.

It would seem to me that even if he wasn't as mainstream, he wouldn't have been that hard to sell to general audiences

It’s easily one of the best marvel shows but before I give my review I have some questions

First is Jake lockely now in Marc Spector’s body? And if he is, does Marc Spector experience the same personality thing that he had with Steven grant? Like he can’t control his body if Jake lockely is the one that controls it?

Second is Steven grant now the doctor? And if he is, who was the one controlling the doctor’s body before Steven grant got control

I know most of you won’t understand shit of what I said because I said it like a 9 year old, anyways

The first episode is really great I loved the series just from the first episode and the whole series was also great

Episode 5 is honestly the best episode of the series it deserves a 10/10 in my opinion, one of the many reasons is that it reminded me of that one episode from season 4 of attack on titan where zeke and eren went back in time to see Eren’s memories, that episode was fire

But idk how I feel about the credit scene, they spent the whole series building Steven grant’s character just to kill him off in a credit scene? Idk how I feel about that decision, now I may be wrong and they didn’t kill him they just showed us Jake lockely shooting him and he didn’t actually die, but idk.

I’ll preface this by saying I’ve watched some of the movies here and there - like all the avengers movies and then some others like iron man, some of the spider mans, etc.

My goal is to get a curated list of how I can watch through the MCU. Every google search turns up so overwhelming. Do I watch all the movies in release order first? Do I do the shows after the movies or put them in chronologically?

I’m just confused and overwhelmed and would appreciate someone pointing me towards a watch list that I can focus on working through.

Am I the only one who feels like Marvel is hiding almost the entire movie?

My theory is that everything shown in the teaser/trailer belongs almost entirely to Act 1.

That clash between Doctor Doom and Thor isn't anywhere near a climax—it feels like the end of Act 1/ start of Act 2 that sets the real story in motion.

Considering they basically reused the same footage shown months ago at CinemaCon, it's clear Marvel is keeping Acts 2 and 3 under absolute lock and key, much like the misdirection they pulled during the marketing for Infinity War.

Do you think Trailer 2 is going to be way more massive and finally reveal the true scale of the movie, or will they keep hiding everything until release?

In Endgame, when the avengers go back in time to 2012 New York to get the tesseract they end up leading to Loki's escape. Loki's escape was never supposed to happen, but because he escaped they had to go back in time again to get the tesseract from Camp Lehigh. This part of the story is very important, as Steve probably would not have gone back in time permanently to live with Peggy if he hadn't seen her there. Additionally, I think Tony might not have made his sacrifice if he hadn't just gotten closure with his father.
To me, this means the trip to Camp Lehigh was always meant to happen. The only thing they could be looking for there is the tesseract and pym particles, meaning they were always meant to go to new york with 1 shot to get the tesseract, and were always meant to fail (If they had more than one shot they could've gone anywhere else for the tesseract, and if they didn't fail at getting the tesseract there's no reason to go there).

We know that Loki is the one who committed crimes against the sacred timeline, because he was not supposed to escape. We also know Loki was fully aware that the avengers had time traveled from the future. So maybe him realizing that there were 2 tony starks was never meant to happen, and that's what created the branch that gets destroyed by the TVA.

So what was meant to happen? What other reason could have led tony and steve to go back to camp lehigh other than loki's escape?

I think it seems very apt that Nick fury will return in secret wars, one last time before the final reboot of the whole MCU. Nick fury though prominent didn't have much to his slate in the last couple of years. After the secret invasion he must be working in some way to form another team, because that's what he does the best.

Why would Disney+ release Fantastic Four: First Steps with IMAX Scenes but not Thunderbolts* or Spider-Man: No Way Home.

I thought it was because of "Infinity Vision" but then why only release FF4 and not the other two?

I’m thinking about doing a complete Marvel rewatch, but I’m not sure how to approach it.

I’ve already watched everything and I’m currently up to date, so this wouldn’t be my first time watching the MCU. I mostly want a refresher, to make sure I don’t leave out anything important.

I’m thinking of including:

- MCU movies
- Disney+ shows
- Netflix Marvel shows
- X-Men movies
- Other connected Marvel films

I’d probably skip animated stuff like What If…? and Marvel Zombies for now.

With Spider-Man: Brand New Day releasing on the 31st of this month and Avengers: Doomsday coming at the end of the year, it feels like a good time to revisit everything before the next big chapter.

The problem is the amount of content is huge, so I’m wondering what everyone recommends:

Should I:

1. Watch one movie a day and take my time?

2. Watch a couple whenever I have free time?

3. Binge as much as possible?

4. Only rewatch the important projects and skip the ones that don’t add much?(don’t want to, but might have to)

For anyone who has done a full Marvel rewatch, how did you pace yourself? Did it start feeling like a chore halfway through?

Weird tangent that came to mind after the Doomsday trailer, bare with me.

This only works if we assume two things:

• The Old Man Steve at the end of Endgame is the same Steve we're seeing in the Doomsday trailer.
• Old Man Steve lived through the events of Doomsday.

If that's true, then this happens:

During Doomsday, Steve would already see Sam as Cap and from his perspective, Sam has already taken up the mantle.

But how did Sam become Cap in the first place? At the end of Endgame, we all assumed Old Man Steve gave Sam the shield because he believed Sam was the right person. But if Old Man Steve had already witnessed Sam as Cap during Doomsday, does that mean he only chose Sam because he'd already seen that future?

That creates what a bootstrap paradox. - Sam becomes Cap because Steve gives him the shield. - Steve gives Sam the shield because he remembers Sam already being Cap during Doomsday. - But Sam could only have been Cap during Doomsday if Steve had already given him the shield.

So where did the original decision come from? Which came first, the choice to pass the shield or Steve witnessing Sam already carrying it?

It feels like this choice has no true origin, it just exists as a loop.

Am I missing something about how MCU time travel would resolve this? I'm curious what everyone thinks.

This whole IMAX Exclusivity thing has been a Huge pain this Year for Marvel fans. I accepted the Brand New Day being Filmed for Screen X. I look forward to it.

But I have hesitated to get Doomsday Tickets because ALL of the Evening Showings are in 3D and a couple in Screen X. I am not overly excited for either of those formats for the Film. I just want to see it Regular if it will not be IMAX.

I’m wondering how everyone else feels about Marvel pushing 3D for their “Infinity Vision”..
Are you just going for the 3D showings anyway? Are you happy it’s in 3D?
I feel like that’s a Loss on top of them also not getting IMAX.

I've been thinking about this for a while, but from what we know of the x men Universe in Doomsday is just really confusing. In x men days of future past, the new timeline is established after the movie is over where all the X men are alive. However, in logan, it's stated that the X men died. But logan and professor X were the only ones left. However, after that movie, Professor X and logan die. But in Deadpool and Wolverine, they bring a new Wolverine into their universe as they need an anchor for their universe to survive, so Deadpool and Wolverine take place after Logan. But in Avengers Doomsday, which takes place after Deadpool and Wolverine in this timeline, Professor X is still alive, and so are the rest of X men from what we see in the trailer of Doomsday. My question is how are the new X men alive, why is Gambit on the team when he was stuck in the Void and if Gambit did escape the Void into the X men timeline just to join the X men where are the rest of the resistance aka Wesley Snipes Blade, Jennifer Garner Elektra and the Grown up X23. Also if this new X men team is alive and here to stop their world from being destroyed why don't they have there full team if some how everyone's alive instead of just Professor X, Cyclops, Beast, Gambit, Magneto and Mystique being the X men team in Doomsday. Also, how does Monica Rhambeus mother fit into this timeline as an X men. As she is randomly just a member of the team in the end credits of the Marvels movie, when it is nowhere to be seen in the Doomsday trailer.

I've noticed this in a few of Vanessa Kirby's performances, and I genuinely can't tell if it's her acting style or something else.

To me, her facial expressions often feel very limited, almost like her forehead and upper face barely move. It makes some emotional scenes feel flat because I can't really read what she's supposed to be feeling.

I'm attaching a screenshot from one scene from avengers trailer, and I honestly can't figure out what emotion she's trying to convey.

What exactly is she emoting here?

Is this just subtle acting that I'm missing, or could Botox/fillers be affecting how expressive her face appears? Curious if anyone else feels the same or if I'm completely off.

Several people have asked either me personally or on here for a guide to get ready for Doomsday. So I prepared a Google Sheet for anyone interested in a streamlined guide so you don't have to watch everything. There are a several points that I will mention below, so before I get bombarded with questions, please read them.

1: I know this goes without saying, but I'm saying this anyway, this guide is built around what we actually know is in Doomsday, and a small peppering of assumptions here and there. In my opinion, by the end of Secret Wars probably everything in this saga will get some sort of reference the same why the infinity saga did in IW/EG, so skipping any of them runs the risk of not getting a reference or a joke. We don't really know what Doomsday and Secret Wars will hold, so if I made something skippable here and it actually does matter in the movies, do not blame me for your choice to use this guide and skip things.

2: This is a copy of my own personal list that I give out to family, friends, and some coworkers, with the exception that much of the more detailed information has been stripped off. I made this as streamlined as possible for people here. However, if you wanted to watch the entire thing all the way through, this is how I would choose to do it, top to bottom. It keeps the MCU story moving, while breaking up Phases to sprinkle in multiverse projects, while adhering to generally when they take place to keep technology in universe consistent.

3: This is not a strict timeline guide nor does it adhere to the D+ timeline. I personally have issues with several of their placements of Phase 4, and this guide is meant to avoid a lot of those issues in favor of logically progressing the overall plot, while also preserving any major story beat reveals, such as Logan's history given to him in X2 before you see it in full afterwards, or DP2 coming after Logan so Wade doesn't spoil the film for you.

4: This guide is structured to keep the main progressing story on the MCU, with several break points to step into the multiverse, while also keeping a mental note of generally when those films occur in time so that the technology seen in the them makes sense as you go along. This gets trickier when X-Men reset their timeline, so I made due the best I could.

5: The multiversal inclusions comes from putting the emphasis of this guide on the MCU Event Films. Days of Future Past, Avengers 1-4, and any major multiverse films after Endgame. So everything included in this guide is backlogged from what is actually in those films.

6: Anything that has been greyed out is skippable, however, not all of them are bad, in fact some of them are worth watching regardless of multiversal stuff going on. I have listed reasons why you might consider watching those when you get to them.

7: I am well aware of things that are not on here, I have seen all of them, including AoS, Helstrom, Runaways, all of it. However, until any of them are brought into the fold properly with the main 616, they are considered side quests or other universes to me and are not needed.

8: If you have a strong argument for why something should be skipped or something should NOT be skipped, I will consider changing this guide. There's a lot of content here, and it's possible I missed something important.
