the couple in summer strike is probably the most realistic couple i have ever seen in modern asian dramas

they don’t try to impress each other with expensive dates or make every moment overly dramatic like so many kdramas do. their relationship feels quiet and natural. they don’t need big romantic gestures or constant skinship to show they care. their chemistry comes through small conversations and or comfortable silences and simply enjoying each other’s company like real relationships

i mean they’re comfortable just being together. they don’t feel the need to constantly show affection or make grand romantic gestures. they just exist naturally as a couple and that’s what makes them so believable

they’re the kind of couple i can actually imagine still being together 30 years from now.

I really hope these two get cast together in the future because their visuals and acting range would be insane together 😭 I would love to see them play two red-flag, morally grey characters. Basically, give me Nevertheless vibes but with a healthy love story instead of toxic love 😭

Welcome To Samdalri is just peak Shin Hye-Sun. It was weird watching her be so cold and distant with a lonely past in “Filing for love” to being balls to the walls crazy and emotional in “Welcome To Samdalri”, she could cry and make your heart feel like it was being crushed on, she could make you laugh at her embarrassing moments that gave you secondhand embarrassment, she could make you cheer for her and root for her when she defended her friends as the loyal and crazy person that she is. She’s just the best, man. I love her so much, and I can never tell what I’m getting from her in her works, all I know is that she’ll be the best either way.

Now The East Palace is out, NJH’s agency announced his new projects. One is a rom-com and the other one is a mystery thriller. I’m honestly excited about both.

Now let’s hope for a suitable female lead of Heartbeat who will compliment his performance like Kim Tae Ri did in 2521.

Watching See You At Work Tomorrow and one thing I notice about Siwoo is that his fridge is just so different, like he has actual food and packed lunches other than the typical bottled waters a lot of those CEO has in their fridge😭😭😭😭

Encounter with Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum…Is it worth watching ? Is it good throughout the whole drama? How’s the chemistry? I read mixed reviews of this drama- some like it, some don’t. I really enjoy noona romances where the FL is the more successful one. The cinematography looks stunning and the fact they were in Cuba at first makes it more interesting… I wanted to watch this , but many negative reviews of this drama such as no chemistry , later episodes bad… etc.

If it’s to any help the noona romance I adore is : Secret Love Affair. I also enjoyed first half of Something in the Rain… didn’t enjoy the second half because I felt the FL was TOO weak and letting her mother control her too much. It was off putting for me.

While I'm waiting for the next episode of See You at Work Tomorrow, I'll be binge watching The Story of Park's Marriage Contract for a change. I've read a few positive and negative reviews about this series but I honestly don't mind since I love Bae In-hyuk. It's my first time seeing the FL, though. 😊

Actor Nam Joo Hyuk has officially been confirmed as the lead of Disney+'s upcoming original series Code, directed by Yoo Soo Min, the filmmaker behind the global hits Weak Hero Class 1 and Weak Hero Class 2.

After proving his international popularity through Disney+'s original series Vigilante, Nam Joo Hyuk is set to return with a new mystery crime thriller that promises suspense, fast paced storytelling, and unexpected twists.

Code follows the story of an opportunistic lawyer who constantly walks the line between legality and illegality. His life takes a dramatic turn when he receives an invitation to a mysterious app called Code, an app capable of granting any wish. However, every wish comes with a price that must be paid. Through this unique premise, the series will explore the darkest sides of human ambition and desire.

In the series, Nam Joo Hyuk will play Yoon Tae Joo, a former prosecutor's investigator who dreams of becoming a partner at a prestigious law firm. Willing to do whatever it takes to succeed, he becomes entangled in a dangerous cycle of desire and consequences after accepting an invitation from the "Code" app. The role is expected to showcase a bold new side of Nam Joo Hyuk's acting.

The supporting cast is equally impressive. Nam Joo Hyuk will be taking on a romance drama next!

On July 23, mydaily reported that Nam Joo Hyuk will be starring as the lead of the romance drama “Heartbeat” (literal title).

In response to the report, a source from Nam Joo Hyuk told Ilkan Sports, “He will be starring as the lead of “Heartbeat.'” The drama will be written by scriptwriter Lee Si Eun of “True Beauty” and “Lovely Runner.”

“Heartbeat” is an emotional love story that unfolds when a man who looks like a woman’s deceased first love appears. It follows the story of a woman who sees the past and a man who has to hide his past. Nam Joo Hyuk will take on the role of Cha Shin Jo, who harbors a hidden past.

Recently, Nam Joo Hyuk captivated with his performance in “The East Palace.” He was also confirmed to star in Disney+’s upcoming drama “Code.”

I finally got to starting with this drama. I’m just through with the first episode, so this is not a review, obviously.

I just came here to say… these two look so good together. Can’t wait to watch the rest of this drama. I can already sense that I’m going to like it.

Which Kdrama do you have in mind, where the main leads really resemble each other in a way and it’s almost like the male or female versions of themselves?

For me I’d say Choi Hyunwook and Shin Eunsoo in Twinkling Watermelon they very much have a resemblance like if you squint a little bit just like in the photo, I also notice Eunsoo has the Yichan personality too during the behind the scenes content which I find very cute.
