PLOT - 10/10

Honestly, this drama is such a palate cleanser. It’s neither boring nor overly dramatic—it just cleanses your soul. It hits that rare sweet spot: light and refreshing without feeling superficial. Adding the filming aspect into the plot was a brilliant touch that you rarely see done this well. Not a single episode felt like filler. If you're looking for something unique, comforting, and genuinely refreshing, this is it.

CHARACTERS - 10/10

I honestly have zero complaints. Another rare gem here is the inclusion of a third couple—a dynamic you almost never see executed this well. Every single character brought something special, especially NJ. The cast adds so much to the show’s lighthearted charm, especially since it avoids toxic fights, heavy angst, or melodramatic breakdown scenes.

ACTING - 10/10

Still no complaints, though there is one character I need to highlight: NJ. I’ve seen a lot of people criticize the actress’s performance, but I personally loved her. Her acting wasn't bad at all—in fact, I think she portrayed the character perfectly. Her visuals are stunning, and honestly, I’d love to see her take on a tragic role next. She definitely has the screen presence for it, and I want to see a lot more of her in the future.

OVERALL - 10/10

I usually find lighthearted dramas boring and not worth my time, but this one struck the perfect balance. It’s comforting without feeling vanilla or bland. There wasn't a single episode that lost my attention—within the first few minutes of every episode, you're instantly hooked again. I loved the storyline and the dynamics between the characters, and I hope anyone who gives it a chance enjoys it just as much.

I know Myeong Su was just a kid looking a way for his mother and grandmother to see his father....But Why...Why did you have to leave then....at that moment, despite knowing how things were outside? Why not wait for your sister to come? Why did you run in straight line eyesight of soldiers? What made you think you could get pass all those soldiers and bring both of them back?

And to the guy who gave the map...Why did you give a map to a 12 year old when things are soo ugly outside....Why?????

I know he was just a 12 year old and he did not do it purposefully, I know fate is to blame....but Why??? Why did it have to be this cruel???😭😭😭😭

Its that time of year when I grieve Youth of May and I just needed someone to blame to let it from my mind, It just happened to be Myeong su.

One more thought....

Myeongi considered herself unlucky all throughout her life, she was used and sad, said yes to literally everything even when she was broken, Finally she just had a chance to be happy and it did not even last a month. In her final moments would she have considered herself lucky to have been able to love Hee tae or would she have considered herself unlucky to not be able to forever live in that love??😭😭

People were hyping it so much and how beautiful the series was and I was impressed with the screenshot of the series but when I watched it, Pilot ep was decent enough to catch the attention but it never got better and for me twist was predictable.

And action was okayish and cinematography was decent which were being praised a lot but for me it wasn't that good like a wow factor.

A solid 6/10 and will surely forget it in a day or two.

It was very fast paced. So much happening. Proper makjang vibes. Even though it was never marketed as one. I really enjoyed it because the drama never slows down. The twists and turns kept me engrossed till the end. Binge watched the whole thing. It having 8 episodes helped too.This kdrama Might not be everyone's cup of tea but I thought it was entertaining. Very ott but fun in my opinion.

I just finished watching a drama where the leads had amazing chemistry and their relationship arc was really well done. Like objectively they were endgame from episode one and it made sense. But I still found myself rooting for the second lead even though he had way less screen time and honestly his storyline was kinda underdeveloped.

This keeps happening to me and I dont know why. Sometimes I think its just the actor or the way they write that quiet longing look, but other times the second lead is literally doing nothing special and Im still like why cant she pick him instead. Even when the main guy is clearly better for her.

Maybe its because second leads always feel more tragic? Or because they never get a fair chance to actually compete. I know some dramas do the reverse where the second lead is obviously wrong but thats not what Im talking about. Im talking about when both guys are genuinely good people and you still cant help but feel bad for the one who loses.

Anyone else get stuck in this pattern or is it just me being weird. I feel like it ruins my enjoyment a little bit because Im always slightly disappointed by the ending even when I knew it was coming.

For me this is,

Idk before I watched any of them, why i thought there were parts of the same universe, maybe cause of long names, and having both female lead names in title,

And their cinematography is also very similar, ofcourse I was wrong

i heard that Kim Go-eun, while shooting Exhuma, played the role of a shaman, and she actually summoned a spirit, and there were real shamans on set to prevent it. but i also heard somewhere that this was all just a marketing strategy, and no real spirit was summoned, it was just an advertisement to hook the fans, and now im quite confused about what's actually true did she really summon a spirit, or is this just a rumor started by the fans or the production/marketing team?

It’s not that they were boring or bad, it’s just the show kinda takes too long to get these two characters together when they’re already dating and together before even getting together. The whole curse thing about him disappearing and finding out ways how to make him want to be human takes a lot of the remaining time left in the show, you’d think his time spent with her would have already been more than enough progress in the first place before he grew to have feelings for her and decided to pursue her. That’s why the second leads are definitely the better part of this show, and I’m not just saying that due to my completely unrelated bias towards talented and beautiful Kang Han Na.

Wtf is going on? If you are carrying a wanted criminal, you don’t arm yourself. Goons are buying everyone left right and center.

That hacker he can hack everything in second and no one cares. It is not easy to hack something like this…Police seem helpless, atleast show something realistic and there is this one guy acting like a mutant, always growling and making faces.

Also how dumb is Gun woo’s mom, she is always putting him in danger. Totally messed up

Season 1 impressed me but I am literally seeking every second.

Watching this pretty late. I expected some fistfights when I was the genre was action but what in the holy shit is this? The man can walk in a room of 50 deadly gangsta and walk out of there alive and limping,while the other's are...well dead or as good as dead. I don't think I tried this genre before (and even if I did the violence wasn't this crazy).

Btw,guess who have a math test on Sunday and shamelessly watching some middled aged man fighting like a hulk?

So I've been binge-watching kdramas for about two years now and I just realized how much they've affected my everyday behavior in the strangest ways. Like I automatically tilt my head slightly when I'm confused about something, which I never did before. Or I've started pouring drinks with two hands even when I'm just at home alone, which feels ridiculous but also weirdly respectful?

The worst part is I catch myself doing that thing where characters pause dramatically before answering a question. My coworker asked me if I wanted coffee yesterday and I just stood there for like three seconds staring at nothing before saying yes. She looked at me like I'd lost it.

I also can't eat ramyeon normally anymore without thinking it should be more eventful somehow. And don't even get me started on how I now notice every single PPL in western shows because kdramas made me hyper-aware of product placement.

Anyone else accidentally absorbed random kdrama mannerisms or is it just me being w eird? I'm curious if this is a common thing or if I've just watched way too many episodes in a row without touching grass.

We watched them sneak around just to spend an hour together, exchange looks that said everything, hold hands like it was scandalous, kiss like they couldn’t stay away from each other, and build one of the most electric romances in K-drama. Then we watched family interference, emotional manipulation, and choices that chipped away at their relationship until it finally broke.

Sure, the writers gave them their happily ever after. But after the credits rolled…do you think Jin-a and Jun-hui actually made it to the altar???

I fully believe Jun-hui was committed to doing whatever it took to make the relationship work. His love for Jin-a seemingly knew no bounds. But by the end, the circumstances hadn’t really changed. Jin-a’s mother still didn’t accept him. Her relationship with Gyeong-seon was still strained. And Jin-a still had a pattern of putting Jun-hui in emotionally impossible situations instead of protecting their relationship.

Love was never their problem. But were the problems surrounding their love, combined with the communication issues within the relationship itself, too much for it to survive?

I don't watch kdramas much and the only one I watched is squid game but recently I watched a K-drama called "Teach you a lesson" and I was kinda expecting to drop it within the first episode but it was kinda good so I continued watching and I'm so glad I did because it got better with every episode, each episode had different scenarios which made it even more entertaining to watch.
