Hey everyone, coolant light was flashing on the dash yesterday, and the reservoir was empty. Filled the reservoir, and this morning it was empty with a puddle of it all on the ground. It’s coming from the driver's side, at the very front of the car where the radiator is. I didn’t see any hoses leaking, if anyone can help pinpoint exactly which component it is and what needs to be replaced, I would appreciate it. This issue suddenly started yesterday; I've been driving the car for 7 years and had no signs of any coolant issue until now.

Hey all, i wanted some suggestions on how i can mount an under seat fire extinguisher on my 25 Jetta highline under the drivers seat or passenger seat.

Any ideas are really appreciated. Possibly if i could get it under around 50-100 cad!!!

It's not even the big stuff for me.

The red accents, the seats, the steering wheel, the subtle badging... the GLI has a lot of little details that make it feel special without trying too hard.

Anyone else appreciate those small touches?

Recently sold my Audi S3 for a 2025 Jetta Sport and finally had a chance to test eco mode yesterday. In not so perfect conditions, this car returns an impressive mid 40s mpg! For comparison, the S3 in the same situation typically returned 26.2 on premium fuel. Of course the Audi was substantially faster, but that’s not always important.

Conditions:
-Over 100 degrees, A/C on blast
-10% city, 15% stop and go, 75% highway
-Did not use ACC

It's time. 175k miles, it was my work horse till 2 weeks ago. We updated to something bigger as kids are getting big. Still runs great, I should not be getting rid of her. In Houston, if anyone is interested. 💔

So... 2015 Jetta TDI

Got all the dash lights that tell me a speed sensor has popper, the Tire light, the ABS light, the Traction light, the EPS system light...

So I check and it tells me that the driver's rear Speed sensor is giving readings that are out of whack... ok, so I will change it and be good.

I change it, and then drive to get the lights to go out... they don't so I go back and pull the tire again to make sure it's in fine and all connected right.

When I do that, I just happen to look at the spring right there, and I hadn't noticed before, but the spring is actually completely broken and just sitting on itself.

So the spring is beyond my capability, so I take it to the local guy to change it, and mention the sensor problem that had me find that.

So he is gonna fix the springs and while he is at it, he checks the wheel bearing too.

Turns out the wheel bearing was shot at well which was causing the speed sensor to read incorrectly.

We think that my spring busted, and then that threw things out of whack and caused the bearing to go, which then caused the speed sensor to trigger.

I had been driving on the lights for about a month because I just hadn't had the time to do the sensor, and who knows how long the spring had been broken before that to trigger everything. The car didn't noticeably have any kind of lean or drop to that side in the rear.

I did have some work done at the dealership back in April, so it was at least after that when it happened.

I do feel lucky that nothing bad happened while riding around on it, I have made a couple 200+ mile round trips beyond just to and from work with it in the past couple months.

As the title states im trying to bypass my oem non-monsoon amp and was wondering if anyone has done so and could help me out if there are any bypass harnesses or diagrams of what to splice into another aftermarket 4 channel amp. Thank you

Has anyone put in the ecs tuning dogbone bushing insert on a 25 jetta s? Site says it doesn't fit. But its been done supposedly.

I took my car to get a new timing belt I saw visible cracks on the side of the belt it was making a abnormal noise so I took it to my local mom and pop spot a timing belt is way to involved for me. They replaced pullys belt tensioner and water pump. I got it home the following day I started it and it was making a different sound. I took it back they said it was just the belt and they sprayed some belt conditioner on it but im not convinced i pulled the cover off and I have been keeping a eye on it. It was 1400 bucks i don't the money to get it redone not sure what I should do if I should be concerned. Im attaching a video of sound and photos of new belt it looks like its starting to fray or am I just uneducated on the matter.

Now that they’ve been out for a bit now how have they been in the long run??? Anyone have 100k plus miles???

Bought the car brand new and the seepage has been present since the first few thousand miles- at almost 10k right now. Dealership of course says nothing to worry about.

Does anybody have similar experience? Is it the O-ring? Don’t want to accept that it is normal.

I had a 2019 Jetta SE that i bought new and got rid of in 2022, fast forward to today im looking to get back into a Jetta after being away from VW for 4 years.

When I went to look at new ones I saw they did away with the R Line trim which is a bummer because I really like the appearance of it.

Provides have obviously gone up so I was wondering what is the best bang for your buck with the Jetta trims?

Also why did they discontinue the R like? Also seems like the sport replaced the S also

About two hours into any drive the air (doesn’t matter if it’s heat or AC) will slow down to where it’s barely blowing. It’ll be on MAX and barely be coming out. However it sounds like it’s blowing full blast but like caught in the dash or something. If I turn the air completely off for 5-10 minutes (while still driving) and then turn it back on, it’s back to normal. Whatever is broken or breaking seems to be fixed by a simple “cool off” or “reset” of the system. I don’t have to turn the car off or anything. Just turn the air off for a few minutes.

My 2012 2.5 SE is making a small clunk when i come to a complete stop and was wondering if anyone could help. It’s not when i speed up or anything like that ONLY when i come to a complete stop.

I have a 2026 Jetta SE that the infotainment system starts up smoothly maybe 70% of the time. If I've been out of the car less than 5 minutes, that drops to maybe 30%. Rebooting by holding the power button fixes it, so I figure it's software. This is very annoying.

ETA: I'm specifically talking about Android Auto. Sometimes it pops up with video but no sound, and sometimes I just get a blank App screen. I also regularly see EAS alert messages from weeks and months ago on starting up.

Edit 2: I bought this car after my last one was totalled. During that process, the rental company put me in a '26 Jetta SE, which did the same thing. So I don't think it's the hardware in this car.

My 2011 vw jetta (2.5L) just hit over 200,000km still runs like a dream. Just wondering how high can one of these go before I have to get a new one?

Hey folks, I just replaced my brake rotors and pads on my 2022 Jetta Comportline. I ended up getting these cross drilled rotors because they were on a great deal. I was originally looking for OEM-style plain rotors, but couldn’t pass these up.
I’m just curious since I’ve never used drilled rotors before. Do they generally last as long as OEM-style rotors for normal daily driving? Is there anything I should watch out for or be concerned about while using them?

I know jettas dont have the best speakers. But i recently got new jetta and its volume/kick is significantly lower than my 2024 jetta se.

Anyone faced similar issue?

I have a 2014 Jetta SE 1.8t that originally came with the 0A4 transmission. The transmission has been giving me problems, so I decided to get a 02Q out of a 2012 Beetle turbo that had the 2.0t engine. As far as I know, it should bolt into place but I will need a different clutch to work. I heard that it will need a MK4 clutch in order to work? Does anyone have any advise that I could use to make this work?

I need some opinions, it's not a daily driver anymore, comfort is not important anymore. I've never dealt with Megan racing coilovers before, I've dealt with other brand like bc racing, tein but I'm looking at silvers and bilstein. But if there is any other brands I should look at what brands and why? It's definitely a weekend fun car
