Would you subscribe to a tax and administrative plan that:

1. Cut state income taxes for every Hoosier earning $75,000 or less

2. Did away with property taxes, meaning a net tax benefit for practically 75% of Hoosiers

3. Kept the cities and counties funded at current levels of taxation with the added benefit of monthly rather than semi annual influxes of cash

4. Saved counties and cities millions by getting rid of expensive bureaucracy around property tax assessment and collection?

It’s possible by making Indiana’s state income tax progressive while making the first $25,000 earned tax free. In exchange, Hoosiers will never see another property tax bill.

Even $200k earning homeowners will see a net tax benefit in exchange for a few added points of income tax.

Worth it?

• The National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993, which requires states to maintain accurate voter rolls while protecting eligible voters from being removed improperly.
• The Help America Vote Act (HAVA) of 2002, which requires every state to maintain a centralized statewide voter registration database and establishes standards for verifying voter information.

States routinely compare voter registrations with government records such as state death records, DMV databases, address changes, and other official sources. County election officials continually update these records, while federal law requires

For nearly 20 years, Congress has repeatedly attempted bipartisan immigration reform. In 2006 and 2013, bipartisan bills passed the Senate but ultimately failed. In 2024, another bipartisan border security package was negotiated but failed to advance in the Senate after former President Trump urged Republicans to oppose it.

People can disagree about whether those bills were good or bad, or why lawmakers opposed them. But one historical pattern is clear: every major bipartisan immigration reform effort over the past two decades ultimately failed because enough Republicans opposed it or Republican leaders declined to move it forward.

I'm absolutely tired of the crime and the killings. I'm tired of thieves and violent people being released back onto the streets because of plea deals and ineffective prosecutors who don't want to upset their voters. I'm tired of prisons and jails not helping people build the skills they need to survive financially and morally in our society.

I'm tired of listening to the extremes of the left and right bitching about things that are superficial or totally unreasonable. I'm tired of the outrage and fear entrepreneurs preying on those with insecurities and the credulous to enrich themselves and distract us from the robbery and dismantling of our government, a government built by the people to protect us from all forms of tyranny, including economic tyranny by non-government entities bent on maximizing profits at the lowest cost possible, no matter the consequences to people's financial and health well-being.

I'm tired of crony capitalists lying about how the world works to make themselves rich and protect the rich. I'm tired of a system that only allows two parties to truly participate in elections, or when a third party gets on the ballot, they often end up benefiting one of the two major parties by siphoning off votes.

However, I haven't given up. I'm not ready to rest yet. The powers that be want me to get tired, go to sleep, stop paying attention, and let them do whatever they want. They have theirs, and if ours goes to shit, then so be it.

No. Not me. Nor you.

Our country's government is truly special and worth fighting for because it was designed to work for most people. There's no way to create a government that satisfies everyone because there's no way to please everyone. However, the foundation is worth saving. The rest of the house is starting to show its age and needs to be remodeled so it can last another 250 years.

We, the center left, the center, and the center right, have the numbers to return to a government built for the people, by the people, and made up of the people. We are the people. The majority. It's time we start acting like it.

The majority of us just want to be able to live our lives peacefully, safely, and freely. We want to be given the tools in life needed to build the economic security required to care for our financial and health needs. Basically, we want to work an honest job for honest pay that allows us to afford the basic necessities of life and maintain our well-being.

We want the fruits of our labor to be enough to cover our needs, allow us to enjoy life, retire with dignity, and die with integrity, all while living in environments that don't work against those goals.

That's it.

This is the true American Dream. It's why so many people from around the world risk their lives and the lives of their families to come here. It's absolutely inspiring.

There have been periods in our history when the American Dream was attainable for the majority. But after crony capitalist greed, corruption, and exploitation reached the point where they stifled that dream, the people rose up, fixed the mess, put safeguards in place to prevent it from happening again, and then carried on building that dream.

Sadly, as the generations that experienced those struggles slip into history, the erosion of those protections begins. History repeats itself.

For the last hundred years, crony capitalists have progressively withered away many of those protections, and we are feeling the consequences. So once again, we have to stand up, fight, and begin putting those protections back in place.

The way things look right now, the American Dream seems far-fetched. Out of reach.

Not really.

Sure, it may seem that way, but remember, we have the power to do this because we are the majority. We have the physical numbers to vote for individuals, no matter their party affiliation, who truly believe in that dream.

Because politicians have set up our government to be largely controlled by a two-party system, many of those who believe in this dream run within those parties and often do quite well. Some could have won if more people, regardless of party affiliation, had supported them. Basically, they are DINOs and RINOs, (Democrats and Republicans in name only) people who don't always follow the party line because they still believe in serving the people first.

And with that said, the way we start to build the tools to slow this takeover down starts this November. Bluntly, I don't think we can afford to be overly selective in many of our choices. In my view, we need to vote for Democrats in the vast majority of races. Doing so will at least stall the takeover and buy us time.

After that, we begin building a coalition of the majority. We find and support candidates, regardless of party label, who genuinely believe in rebuilding and protecting the American Dream. We begin repairing the damage that has been done. However, this time we need to make those protections more permanent so they cannot be so easily dismantled by future generations of special interest.

I believe we can do this because we are the "US" in USA.
