I am a surveyor and was out...surveying, and found these. I can't pin down what species these are. Any help would be appreciated. I only snapped the one picture. Thanks!

I wanted to post these here since this is my first time making sumac lemonade. Are these clusters good enough to make the lemonade, I shook them out for bugs. I red the darker red they are the better they taste. Is that still accurate?

It seems like everywhere requires a permit that I could only get if I knew exactly when I'm going (which I don't know ahead of time which location I want to choose, it's entirely dependent on where gets enough rain) or how many people are coming. I wouldn't even necessarily be harvesting mushrooms on the guided tours, it's mostly an educational walk. But it seems like making any money at all doing anything is prohibited without a permit on public land. This is a dream job for me but logistically near impossible. I've been trying to find answers but it seems like my only option is to beg private landowners to let me go on their property. I'm in western Mass and also offering tours in Connecticut.

It looks like mulberry to me but i thought mulberry was always like viney/bush type! Am i wrong

Or something else edible? Northamptonshire - England. Multiple trees in my local park. I’m guessing the same fruit at different stages of ripeness, but I’m new to this.

ive read the tubers of this stuff are edible, also called earth almonds or tiger nuts. apparently its used to make horchata? wondering if anyone has tried it before and any recipes they recommend!

its growing on a small slope in my backyard that im trying to restore into a native habitat. ill let this stay since its native to the US but i dont want it to take over the entire slope so im hoping to make some use out of what i end up pulling out!

While vacationing with my family in Vancouver (WA) we stumbled across a huge patch of creeping raspberries that was actually having a huge crop. Had seen occasional berries before but not these. Gathered for about 20 min and had a nice snack the next day.

Growing up in Seattle I’ve seen salal my entire life, but only learned it was edible in recent years, and finally tried it this weekend. I was staying in Oak Harbor, Whidbey Island, and salal was covering the area.

I’d rinse and soak a handful at a time and found they were very blueberry-like. I dig em!

i go to the local hospital a lot due to my disabilities and while there likes to check out the local flora. there's a few mulberry shrubs that i like to see if they're fruiting or not, and i came to find out that they trimmed their mulberry shrubs. i'm a bit sad about it.

got a handful of mulberries though, some maybe sour but i like it even then.

I foraged these from a park but am curious what is the dark brownish jelly I found in one? ( it kinda looks like a jelly coconut thingy). I think the white ones are unripe

I have a part of my garden I’m letting run wild mainly because I was curious what weeds would grow in it. I believe I had Canadian lettuce but I did not see hair on the mid rib of the leaf. Also curious as to why pests wouldn’t touch it but eat everything in my garden??

Found in Wisconsin, not sure which especially because of how green the stems are. No milky sap or anything, which makes me believe it is purslane but I have zero experience with either and little foraging experience in general, so I was hoping to get more information here.

Hello, I just moved onto this property and have apple trees and a few trees that look like this. I tasted one and it reminds me of the choke cherries I ate while I was a child, just wanted too get a few other opinions. I live in southern Montana and these pictures were taken about a week ago.

I posted a few days ago about how my yard is full of broadleaf plantain and that I was thinking about harvesting the natural psyllium husks.

I spent about an hour today cutting and collecting some. I barely made a dent because they really are everywhere in my yard. I'll spread them out on the shelves of my dehydrator and slowly dry them before I try to figure out the best way to separate the husks from the stem.

This seems like a lot but in reality will probably only yield a quarter cup of husks if that.

Found this in South Texas, wondering what it is, and if I'll poison myself eating it.

We have all these bushes that i think are elderberry that grow outta hand all over the place that no one planted. but wanted to make sure before i make myself sick making elderberry syrup hahaha
