Level 215 and I finally feel like a proper Minutemen General with a well equipped army

Context: While exploring a certain area, I came across some looters and, after eliminating them all, I began looting the corpses. While looting one, I realized I no longer had the miner's helmet with the lantern, but I did have the lantern's light, though not the helmet itself.

Keep going in and out of the market to respawn Shelbie’s caps and steel. Just need the chemist 1 perk. Helps to invest in her store and to have the strong back perks and high charisma. Pop some grape mentats for better prices. Figured this out after 900 hours with a level 215 character lol

I’ve been testing this on Fallout 4 Survival with the Ambush Kit creation.
I have successfully reproduced it with two different Power Armor frames.
Steps
Place a Power Armor near settlers.
Make sure it contains a Fusion Core.
Start an Ambush Kit attack.
During heavy combat, a settler may enter the Power Armor.
After the attack ends, assign that same settler to a supply line (make them a Provisioner).
Result
The Provisioner:
stays inside the Power Armor,
travels the supply route,
fights enemies,
can still be traded with normally,
can receive or remove weapons,
can receive upgraded Power Armor pieces,
can have Power Armor parts swapped while remaining a Provisioner.
I tested this with two different frames, including one recovered from the crashed Vertibird near Starlight Drive-In.
All testing was done on Survival.
Notes
I have not tested:
Jet Pack upgrades.
High-end X-01/X-02 armor.
Whether this behaves differently at higher levels.
Whether every settlement behaves identically.
Has anyone else tested this?

So, I'm at the point of the game where random vertibirds start appearing and having shootouts with hostiles.

Of course sometimes they win, but then and now they are fighting against a high level hostile like a cybermech tank bot or sentry bot.

I sometimes swoop in, hack the bot to rile it up and vanish again and watch them duke it out.

It usually ends with 2 dead BoS dudes in power armor and a downed Vertibird.

As soon as the fight is done, I run and scrap what's worth scrapping.

I know, I'm a sneaky little wastelander.

I keep catching myself at it and feeling embarrassed. My sister was walking through the room and laughed at me when I was like 'Yeah, well that remains to be seen!'. She called me a nerd and I had to own it.

I've done 5 playthroughs now. 3 endings with the brotherhood of steel and twice with the minutemen. Each playthrough feels new, like I always discover something new. What faction should I commit next? How many playthroughs have you done?

I just completed the base game quest line and was able to keep the Minutemen, Railroad, and Brotherhood somewhat happy by blowing up The Institute. After completing this, talking with some of the NPCs, they seem okay with how I handled The Institute.

Talk with people on the Prydwen, they even seem okay with everything. But when I go to talk with Maxson, he keeps ignoring me. Like.... come on dude. I am still knocking out quest for the BoS, and you still want to sulk. Come on bro... You didn't even have to use Liberty Prime and I probably saved thousands of lives. You should be happy that they are gone, and keep the peace between the Commonwealth and BoS.

It's literally the first time I see one of those weapons after hours of playing, I mean a legendary Gauss riffle, in this play my build is full automatic weapons and melee but gonna level up and add riffle perk just for defeat those annoy Legendary Behemoths

Somehow never played this dlc before so I’m about to start it for the first time. Playing on survival and I’m a hoarder so I’m always running into space issues. From what I’ve seen you don’t get a settlement until like the end of the story, so it would suck not having a place to dump all my shit but on the other hand I guess I won’t be picking up as much crafting junk?

Placed a nice chair in my room next to all my comics and an ashtray just for maccready to sit in and guess what? Miraculously, I go in there, he's no longer sitting in the chair, the chair is GONE and I follow him to see what he's doing and ??? He's now sitting in the chair again, but the chair is on top of my kitchen counter lmao

I have played this game since launch on many different platforms, it's been a long time since I dived in again and chose to do it on the switch 2.

Good news! Thanks to someone on steam, I have figured out how to re enter survival mode and do it infinite times!

That is what you enter your first ever time after you exit trying to fix a bug. But if you try it again, it is suddenly impossible! Here is the solution to fix that!

It was an integer overflow. Do this before then the initial minus 1 to get access to survival mode.

I’ll start with saying that I’ve tried standing on that one wire, hugging that corner wall of cola cars, running from the entrance of cola cars out through the back until the music changes to queue I’m out of Nuka World, i’ve tried waiting multiple days in the Commonwealth and taken the monorail back then walked into the entrance of Nuka World, i’ve even waited over 20 days in the Commonwealth and did the same. I tried to get it to trigger for like four hours last night and got nothing. I even tried talking to the Google AI to see if it could help me, but it believes my game is broken, because the bodies aren’t despawning or something.

I could technically load back but the last save I before open season is like a dozen hours prior to my most recent. I really don’t want to do that.

Just asking in case there’s anything else I can do that I haven’t tried. All the information I’ve been able to find pertaining to this is like 9 years old so maybe there’s something new. The infinite ammo Gatlin laser is a core gear item I intended for this playthru’s build. I’m going to be really bummed if I have to choose between playing without it or resetting like a dozen hours. I appreciate any help.

Like the title says, i found this survival item but im only on Very Hard and dont contract diseases. I wonder why this happened?
