Looking for a streaming stick to give to my gf. It has to be a stick for portability reasons. I know of the best boxes such as the apple tv, nvidia and thompson (onn), but I am not looking for a box.

Just needs to have decent performance, not be slow and allow streaming apps like stremio.

Amazon kept blocking apps one after another, i was thinking of getting rid of the firestick after onstream stopped working... is there a solid alternative ?

I tried to install streamfire and sportsfire from norofire but its showing downloading error and not move forward. anyone knows the solution?

How do you know if an app is disabled by amazon? Does the stuff just not run on the app? Or can you just not open the app at all? I've not seen a warning saying it's harmful nor that it's blocked at all.

Just trying to figure out if it's actually blocked or if it's just being temperamental with my wifi.

Is there any app that I can watch Sky sports news on? I'm not in the UK so I relied on Sportsfire to watch Sky Sports News, but it stopped working. Any other suggestions?

Does anyone know why the subtitles on CINEMAHQ load sometimes and other times they don’t? Last night it wasn’t working then it randomly started, now im trying again today and they won’t load, I have my vpn on and I tried clearing cache and idk what else to do

I have had a Fire TV stick for ~4-5 years and had been using it till about 2 years ago when I moved to a different set up.

I need to use the Fire TV stick again, at a new house (different WiFi setup).

I used to connect the stick to my Yamaha YAS 209 soundbar (with ARC) and connect the OUT from Soundbar to one of the HDMI ports (can't recall if it was ARC/non ARC) on my TV.

This setup no longer works and I can only see screen resolution details (Stereo 3840x2160) with a black screen.

If I try to connect the stick directly in any of the HDMI ports of my TV, it flickers between showing the same resolution and showing "No signal".

At my wits end with this. Any help is appreciated

UPDATE: My stupidity- I was using another black brick for power instead of the "Amazon" power brick that came with the fire TV Stick. Works perfectly fine now
