So I went to my hometown during my summer holidays and emptied my mother's storage. When I arrived to the Recycling facility I found a Yashica Lynx-14 with a rotten lather cover. Asked kindly to the facility crew if I was able to take it home, even if it was just to check it and keep it as decoration.

At home, checking everything in the outside, the camera was in very good condition. So only one thing was left to try. I went to Albania a few days after and tested it with a couple of Kodak proimage 100.

I developed and scanned them yesterday night and it seems to be all good. Or at least, not bad at all for a 0€ camera.

I recently purchased a Minolta X-700 off eBay with a MD Rokkor 35mm f2.8. I honestly went into this with zero knowledge of film photography or digital. After purchasing the camera I watched a couple YT videos on how to operate it. Then bought one roll of Ektar 100 and Porta 400 as this community seemed to be fond of. I figured since I am a beginner I would shoot in P mode for my first shots. Some I think turned out well and some I didn’t focus on the dog shot and if I remember correctly the low light photo I manually underexposed in P mode. Anyways I am open to any suggestions or criticisms. Also got these processed at darkroom mailed in the two rolls. No editing has been done.

I recently just got my film back from a Pentax IQZoomEZY. It was my first time shooting on this camera and the pictures are amazing off of it BUT I did notice a couple pictures turn out a bit funky.

Wondered if anyone had an idea on why they turned out like this? I am thinking it’s just a lighting/flash thing but wanted to hear some opinions :) again it was only a couple so not mad about it (kinda cool tbh)

My final project in my b/w film photography class. This is my first time shooting film, developing and making my own prints, and using an analog camera for the first time ever. The theme I chose was portraits with relatively good quality of light. Let me know what you think is good and what I need to work on as well as your favorite photo if you have one!

Hi everyone! Would love if someone could read this and help me out. I recently bought a point and shoot (minolta riva zoom) after my olympus broke. I just got back my first photos from it and im not happy with the results. My question is should I assume its the camera? Could it be the film? (kodak gold 200), could it be how it was developed (did through b&h). Overall the pictures are overly grainy, not crisp, some blurry, and just not great. Leaving some examples below. Should I look for a different point and shoot? Would love some recs! Can be manual as well just want something compact that I can bring on trips / chuck in my purse. Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know what would cause film to come back like this after being developed? I have a Nikon Tele Touch film camera that I found at my parents house while visiting them and it had some film in it. I have no clue how old the film was so maybe it was damaged/expired film? Just wanted to see if anyone has an idea of if it was the camera or the film that caused the messed up photos. All the other pictures from the roll are either so washed you can’t even tell what they are or have that super grainy multicolor look like the first picture above. I’ve never used film before so any advice helps.

I bought this camera a couple of years ago for about $10 from a thrift shop but it stayed on my shelf until this summer. I’ve run a few rolls through it (Fuji Superia 400 and Kentmere 400) and just got them developed, so here are some of my favorites.

I’ve been having this issue with every single one of my scans having these green stripes on them. They do appear on the negatives, so don’t think it’s a scanning issue from the lab.
Thought maybe light was leaking while rewinding the film, so I rewound the film in a dark room but I still get these green stripes.
Maybe the film just isn’t getting set properly when I’m loading it?

I wasn't too sure what to expect, but I love film now. I've been shooting digital for 15 years now. I've already stocked up on rolls and bought another camera too!

Do you guys prefer to take your nicest camera with you traveling or one you dont mind about getting ruined if something were to happen? I’m traveling abroad in a few weeks, I’m considering taking one of my tiny beginner cameras with me instead of my nice Minolta. The tiny camera is lower quality but way easier to travel with and takes okay enough pics; but my minolta is what gives me so much inspiration, its so much fun to shoot with but its so heavy and I would be beside myself if anything happened to it on this trip. Just want to hear other’s opinions. Thanks! (:

I know this needs a plunger cable that plugs into my camera shutter button to fire the shutter but I can’t find the type that plugs into this trigger. If anyone can help please!! It’s a Gold Crest BR17. Couldn’t find any info online.
