july 15: EA releases Title Update 1.6.4. clubs matchmaking immediately breaks for thousands of players. can't find matches, instant connection errors, squads completely locked out of league games

july 15 to July 22: EA's response is essentially silence. one post on X saying "some players" are experiencing issues. no ETA, no workaround, no communication. the post got 1.8 million views and the replies were absolutely rinsing them

july 22: EA finally releases 1.6.5 as an emergency fix and tweets a one line apology saying sorry for the frustration

eight days. eight days of not being able to play the mode with your squad because they pushed a broken update and then went quiet

and the thing that makes it genuinely infuriating is the contrast. when Ultimate Team has a token issue or a pack glitch, there's an emergency patch within hours. every single time. because Ultimate Team makes them money and Clubs doesn't

1.8 million views on that X post and still took a week. if that engagement was on a FUT announcement they'd have had a fix live by morning

I received the multipliers, the 50k coins and the archetype unlock but not the 10k consumable :(

My friends and I attempted to play a league match multiple times earlier to no success so I restarted the game. Now can’t even get into clubs.

I did receive my “EXP compensation”, but now I can’t get in at all.

Anyone find a fix for this yet? Thinking about uninstalling and reinstalling atp.

The Clubs servers were down, so out of pure boredom and frustration, I sat down and mapped out a full blueprint for what a proper, esports-ready(sorry guys) 11v11 football game should actually look like.

I’ve been playing Pro Clubs for 15 years, and like most of you, I’m exhausted by the lack of innovation,broken pace metas, and lazy monetisation.

Curious to hear your thoughts on this.

1. Monetisation (No Pay-To-Win) Zero P2W: Absolutely no attribute boosts or paywalled gameplay mechanics.

Club Contributions (Team Passes): Small monthly club subs ($5-10 split between 11 players) that unlock deep team analytics, heatmaps, and custom tournament entries.

1. Monetisation (Zero P2W, Pure Cosmetic FOMO) Zero P2W:Absolutely no attribute boosts or paywalled gameplay mechanics. Your wallet gives you zero advantage on the pitch.

Fortnite-style Daily/weekly Item Shop (FOMO): A rotating store with limited-time cosmetics. If you miss a custom celebration or a rare kit, you have to wait months for it to rotate back.

Celebrations & Audio Packs:Buy iconic solo and team celebrations, custom goal horns (ship horns, fireworks, retro sound effects), and custom stadium announcers.

Clubhouse Drip & Personal Style:Outfits, streetwear, tattoos, hairstyle packs, and accessories for your avatar to flex in the pre-match Locker Room.

1. UI & The Clubhouse Menu-First & Fast: Instant queues and clean menus. No forced open-world walking, no time wasted.

Living Locker Room: Your customized team locker room acts as a live background while you hang out and queue up with your squad.

1. Ranked, Divisions & Season-End Cups

Casual Mode: A relaxed space to test new builds and mess around without losing rating.

Ranked Divisions (10 to 1): Strict MMR matchmaking with division-exclusive rewards, titles, and stadium badges.

6 to 8 Week Seasons: A realistic timeframe to grind without burning out.

Season-Ending Championships: The final weekend of every season features an exclusive Bracket Tournament. Your locked Division determines your Tournament Tier. Win your Tier to earn permanent trophies for your clubhouse cabinet, exclusive gold kit badges, and rare cosmetic rewards for the whole squad.

1. Gameplay, Refs & Goalkeeping Physics-Based Foul System: No weird RNG or scripted cards. Offsides and fouls are 100% mathematical.

Ball-First Rule: If you hit the ball first in a tackle, it is never a foul. Period.

No Match Delays: Instant calls. No slow cutscenes or fake delays to keep the match tempo high.

Balanced Keepers: Play with Human GK or a high-tier AI GK. Human keepers get custom controls, but griefing (like running out on purpose) will tank your rating or auto-sub you for an AI(or kick the player).

1. Dynamic Build System (No More Meta-Glitch players) NBA 2K-Style Attribute Sliders: Mix archetypes freely (like combining a Deep-Lying Playmaker with a physical Destroyer).

Strict Physical Trade-Offs: Height and weight actually matter. If you want 90+ Passing and 90+ Physicality, your max Pace and Agility caps will take a heavy hit. No more 5'6 100lbs pace demons dominating every position.

Stamina Punishments: Sprint-spamming tanks your stats by the 60th minute.

Earned Perks: Unlock PlayStyles through actual in-game performance, not buying boosts. Example: 200 interceptions gives you intercept bronze. 400 gives you silver. 800 gives you Gold.(these are just random numbers i've chosen)

1. In-Game Tactics & Management

D-Pad Adjustments: Change defensive lines or wing-back overlaps live without pausing the match.(This is mostly for ai)

Custom Set-Piece Routines: Design corner and free-kick tactics in the clubhouse and execute them in-game with run indicators for your team.

Spectator mode

1. Actually Fix Drop-In Matches 11v11 Priority: Matches always try to fill a full 11v11 first. If queue times are too long, it scales down to 6v6 or 8v8 with balanced AI so you get into games fast.

Queue by Position: Select your position before searching—no more fighting over who gets to play ST.

1-10 Match Rating System: Everyone starts at 6.0. Good team play pushes you toward a 10, while selfish play or griefing tanks your score. High-rating players get matched together, sending ball-hogs to low-priority lobbies.

1-Click Party Up: Easily recruit or party up with good randoms after a match.

1. Netcode & Crossplay Dedicated Servers: High-performance regional servers so no one suffers from host advantage or input delay.

Dynamic Crowd & Voice Chat: Crowds react dynamically to late comebacks and missed chances. Includes built-in team comms with quick mute toggles.

Full Crossplay & Anti-Cheat: Crossplay across all platforms from Day 1, protected by strict PC anticheat to stop glitches.

Trying to play clubs - league match, but it keeps kicking me out. Is it same for everyone?

So I saw EA finally dropped the update. However I saw some saying it’s still not working and I was wondering if anyone has tried league matches yet with a lot of players (some from different regions). We usually have about 7 players from a few different regions and don’t wanna be disappointed again when we try and play tonight.

Are searching for clubs league matches fixed as of 7/22? Don’t comment on the roster update workaround. I am asking from a Business as Usual standpoint.

I’ve tried to connect to clubs but it’s not letting me. I restarted the game and updated squads, but to no success. Let me know if anyone has the same problem.

I can’t even edit my player now, getting into a match is even more impossible what the fuck even is this company lol

So our striker got fouled outside the box and instead of the game setting up a free kick it’s just been like this for the past 5 minutes with the clock ticking by one second every second. Would it be safe to leave or would we lose our 2-0 lead?

After playing a game with the new update, Me and a few friends received a notification about the apology gifts for the games missed. This included archetype axp but we have yet to receive it. Has anyone else had the same happen? If so, were you able to get the axp?

It’s ridiculous they left us without the best game mode in the game for almost a full week and they won’t give comp

In training I need to power up my free kicks almost fully, to even have a chance tos core, but in a real league game if I power it up the same it goes super fast and too high.

Why is there such a disparitiy in performance?

Makes it impossible to train.

At this point I can’t even be surprised by the mediocrity of this company and how the seize every opportunity to make this game worse. Clubs servers are down after the update fixing clubs league servers. Like how can multibillion dollar company with vast resources cannot have STABLE SERVERS, the BARE MINIMUM for a MULTIPLAYER GAME. All within one year and the final cycle of the game! Which amazes me that they can’t understand that such issues represent a valid reason to not buy FC27. And surely they won’t fix this or address it until a week has passed, because it’s not a “coins glitch” or “+ pack rng” for UT.

I can’t open clubs on ps5, I tried to open clubs on my brothers account and it worked but when I try to on my account it’s says unable to connect to the ea servers. Please check your internet connection and try again.
