Shoutmon EX6!!!

With this final round concluded we are moving onto the big events. A free for all battle Royale between all the winners and one for the losers. ​Why two separate rounds? Because the overall winner of each will be placed in a Final Royale after each of the planned series is over. Next up we have the Olympus Twelve followed by Tentei, 7 GDL, 3 Archangel and Sovereigns. There is also a suggestion to add an alternate form series for each of the contestants.

Honestly I'm glad we got downtime and focus for some of the other minor Parts about the world,

actually glad we finally got to see Makoto's homelife, and I'm glad that it turned out that the family member I thought was going to be the dick bag that was working with the villains wasn't actually the one I was expecting.

Kind of glad that the other five-star generals besides gold aren't exactly evil, since it looks like Rose generally believes what she's doing is right.

I didn't mind the Interlude arc

Tsukaimon > Witchmon > LadyDevimon > Lillithmon

He says he wanna play at the top teams in Italia, so probably Milan, Juventus or Inter, but considering Milan fits his colours best, I think it might be the best option. Considering Milan’s mascot is a Red Devil, much like Agnimon, I think fits him perfectly lol (although Man United go by the same logic except it is an english team). Bayern would also be fun considering it is a team that takes away all the spotlight in Bundesliga, the same way Takuya and Koji does in Frontier 😹 (Botafogo as a bonus cuz it literally means “Setfire” in portuguese)

Now I know what you’re gonna say: “He’s a kid in those shows”. But so is Yamato.

My point is this: the type of character he is should have a teenager sounding voice in general. Joshua Seth was perfect in my opinion. He nailed the cocky, preteen, jock type of character that I felt like what the character actually represents. The Adventure VA is very much a shounen protagonist but that voice always seemed like it was for someone more unsure of himself. Taichi is extremely confident, borderline arrogant which lends more to a teenager sounding voice.

Okay for context I'm currently in a digimon TTRPG game called Digimon Revival and my character is named Maverick Nassar.

And he is partnered with a wormmon who Evolves Into Nezhamon so does anyone have any suggestions for Theme music for Nezhamon?

I know absolutly nothing about digimon but i'm kinda interested and would like to get into it! That said, is the game on switch 2 "beginner-friendly" or is there some massive lore and gameplay elements i dont know about that will make my playthrough bad considering im new to this franchise ?

Second attempt at posting this cause the image wasn't working like I wanted.

Origin behind this: I recently realized that it was kind of weird that Agumon(2006) has his hand belts/gloves, Marcus has his whole punching schtick, and that they literally bonded over punching eachother, but nothing in Agumon(2006)'s line is related to punching or hand-to-hand combat at all. GeoGreymon was all about his fire breath and head bashing, RizeGreymon was all about his Trident Revolver, and ShineGreymon was all about his sword. But none of them have a punching and or hand-to-hand combat theme.

Decided to google it to see if anyone else had similar thoughts, only to find this AI Overview, being blatantly wrong. I of course never actually trust the AI overview, but this is just downright funny to me. It's almost impressive how incorrect it is.

Anyways, just thought this was funny, thought I'd post it to share in the laughs, but also to hear other people's opinions on if the Agumon(2006) line should have been more punching/fighting focused.

Like, i was playing lost evolution and saw skull Greymon being one of the paths of a black agumon and got curious, if for normal digimons, some are considered a dark evolutions, such as skull Greymon for agumon, megidramon for guilmon. For their black counterparts then they would be a normal path?

Loved Cyber Sleuth, finally got a chance to try Time Stranger, and it feels like I don't have much of a reason to actually play the game right now.

To start off: I have x5 battle speed available from the very beginning. This option makes battles so blazing fast I just leave the autobattle on and wait for my mons to clear all the non-boss encounters. That's all the random encounters just playing themselves. I could turn it off and play normally, but if the option exists then this means the game was designed with it in mind and I'm just punishing myself by not using it.

Then there's the barrage of information dump from the very beginning:

>every time I clear an encounter I get a barrage of constant notifications lining up to the right side of my screen (6 Digimon got XP, maybe more, also the conversion rate changes, ALSO new digivolutions available and who knows what else, surely there's a better way to synthesize this information without making it a tiresome list that appears after every. single. fight.)

>later I find out these personalities are tied to FOUR ENTIRE PERSONALITY CATEGORIES. This means I have to keep track of the Digimon's personalities and only answer questions that pushes them in the quadrant that I want to use, because OBVIOUSLY I'm going to max out just ONE TYPE OF PERSONALITY UPGRADES.

As for the story, it's too early for me to be invested in it. It started off with far too much happening, which seems to be a common theme here: "there's far too much at once". Felt like I was flung around from situation to situation far too sporadically and quickly for what should be the introduction to the game.

So really, am I missing something?

EDIT: okay looks like the answer is "just play on x1 or x2 speed, lol" and "don't worry about personality types". Fair! I'll try that and see if it feels any better.

Hey, everyone. As I mentioned in my last post, I've been working on writing for "Digimon Knighthood". I've started on the first chapter, and I'd like to give a preview of it here. Enjoy!

Miuna gave a happy titter. “We can all talk out study ideas at my house. Say, over my mother’s oyakodon?”

Kigyoku gave a bright smile. “Certainly!”

Yasuko chuckled and grinned. “I can get along with that.”

But just as the three girls reached the trees on the path, a powerful gale whipped the ground, sending their hair aloft. An enormous shadow loomed above them, followed by a great thud. Cautiously, the three teens turned around…and their hearts all skipped a beat.

An enormous black dragon loomed before them. He wore a black suit, carrying a skull motif on the left shoulder. His arms were adorned with leather wraps and vicious red claws. Four ragged black wings adorned his back. A spiked tail and four red eyes completed the picture, the picture of terror now before the youths.

None of the girls could move, their fear transfixing their bodies in place. But they could speak, and Miuna gave the first words. “I’m dreaming, right? I’m just dreaming.”

Yasuko added, “If this is a dream, then I’m dreaming the same thing as you.”

Kigyoku managed a ragged gulp. “Same here.”

The demonic dragon gave a chilling chuckle, his muscles and wings shuddering from the treble of his voice “Oh, this is no dream.” His four eyes looked over each of the girls, saliva starting to gather on his jaw. “This is…” 

A crimson tongue smoothed across the lips of the leather-clad monster. “...lunch.”

Before any of the girls could make a move or utter a sound, a brave and mighty voice ringed out from the side.

“Go no further, Devidramon!”

The black behemoth turned his head, the girls along with him. “Hm?”

The Strata envoy, scarf blowing in the wind, landed before them. Sword in his right hand, he placed himself between the females and the hungry creature. Miuna looked down at the white one, her thoughts racing. “A-another dragon? Why’s he so tiny?”

Devidramon flared his nostrils in annoyance. “Another Digimon? Who are you?”

Bold as a sunbeam, the white dragon called out. “I am Sir Caliburmon! Rookie Overseer of the Strata Order, wielder of the blade Arondight, and sworn to the service of the Digital World!”

The raggedy-winged Digimon gave an unimpressed snort. “Oh, great. One of them. One of the so-called knights.”

Devidramon leered at the Overseer, slowly swaying his spiked tail. Miuna and her friends, now accompanied by another, felt a little vigor return to them. Just enough to let them shudder from hearing the giant silently growl. But the smallest one present didn’t even flinch.

“Get lost, you little loon.”

“If you desire for me to leave you, then turn away, and leave these children in peace.”

Yasuko gave, in an incensed tone, “Children?” Kigyoku, in turn, hissed at her, “Yasuko! Quiet!”

The large Digimon slowly bristled his claws against each other. “And if I don’t leave them, “Rookie Overseer”?”

“Then I will defend them, even if it means destroying you, my fellow Digimon.”

Suddenly, chuckles rose from the black-clad beast. His chuckles steadily rose, flaring into uproarious laughter. Devidramon threw his head back high, chortling proudly as Caliburmon continued to stare him down.

The three youths trembled harder as they looked upon him, feeling the demon’s laughter rattle their bones. Kigyoku, feeling adrenaline start to creep into her veins, slowly turned her head left, back towards the path. She whispered, “You think we could run while he’s busy losing it?”

Across from her, Yasuko nodded. “Good catch. We could break for it. Miuna?”

“Run? Yeah.” Miuna lowered her head, and locked eyes on Caliburmon. “I…” Looking upon the knight, the young girl noticed that he remained perfectly still. Not a glimpse of fear in his eyes.

“Miuna. Miuna!” Yasuko squeezed her friend’s shoulder. “No time to dream! Let’s run!”

“Wait. Why isn’t he running?”

“Who cares?” Kigyoku tugged at her arm. “You’re not a mind-reader! Let’s go!”

To her own surprise, Miuna stood straighter, eyes fixed on the white dragon. “No. Look in his eyes.” 

Sparing one more moment of trust in their friend, the two other girls stared into Sir Caliburmon’s eyes. Steely and bright, as if there was no reason to run. Despite themselves, Yasuko and Kigyoku began to stop trembling.

As for Devidramon, his laughter ebbing away, he turned back down to the knight. “Well, well. Wasn’t expecting a show along with my meal.” He bared his fangs at the little dragon, speaking with his choppers exposed. “At first, I was thinking I’d just eat you along with those children, but then you made me laugh. In gratitude for that, I’ll spare you while I take those girls.”

“I will say it again - I will defend them, even if it means destroying you.”

Devidramon closed his lips and raised his arm, claws pointed at the four before him. “This is getting tiresome. And I’m getting hungrier. I can smell the data on you. You’d make a hearty treat, and I’m more than ready to feast!”

Caliburmon narrowed his eyes. “I will not be cowed.”

“Enough! Crimson Claw!” The black dragon slashed down at the knight, his claws striking the ground and making the girls jump back, smoke rising up. When it cleared, Caliburmon was gone.

“What? Where-” The giant’s eyes opened wide, a searing hot pain blasting through his arm. “Argh!” Pulling his arm back, he saw a gash of light carved on it. And beneath him, the Rookie Overseer was waiting, his sword briefly glowing as he pointed it right at him.

Snarling, the black dragon furiously beat his wings. “Demonic Gale!” A blast of wind raced down at the ground, the teens leaping away at it made landfall. Hugging one another, they braced together as they came on their hands and knees.

Sparing a moment to look back, Miuna caught that, right as the blast came, the white dragon rushed forward, between his enemy’s legs.

“Gilded Edge.” His sword glowing once again, Caliburmon took his turn. With three swift movements, he slashed at Devidramon’s feet, legs, and abdominals. The Champion-Level groaned in pain, going on all fours as light energy burned at his wounds.

Yasuko, now looking back, felt her eyes grow wide as dinner plates. “No way. Is he…?”

The demon snarled again. “Why, you…!!” On his back, the giant felt feet trod upon him. Striking with his tail, the demon failed to connect with the Rookie-Level as he raced upward. Light bursting into his scarf, he took it in his free hand.

“Stalwart Silk.” Wrapping the now-elastic scarf around the demon’s left wings, Caliburmon pulled tightly upon it, severing the wings and making Devidramon howl in agony. Not even sparing a moment, Caliburmon opened his jaw at the right wings.

“Gilded Fang!” The knight’s fangs glowed a brilliant white, and two swift chomps later, Devidramon was out of wings, his lost appendages crumbling away into data - and then oblivion.

Miuna got to her feet, turning her body to face the battle, her friends following suit.

“Yasuko?”

“Yeah, Kigyoku?”

“I think Miuna had the right idea.”

“Yeah. Yeah, she did.”

As they spoke, the Strata Knight jumped from the giant’s head, landing before him and pointing his sword at his bowed front. “This is your last warning. Leave this place, or exist no more!”

Devidramon raised his head at the white dragon, his pupils turning to pinpricks as rage flooded his body. “I’m going to kill you!” He then forced his form forward, to headbutt the knight. Leaping upward, Caliburmon evaded the attack, the teens bracing as a gust raced at them. This time, they held their ground.

Above them, Caliburmon gripped Arondight with both hands, raising it high. “Gilded Edge!” Sword shining bright again, the Rookie Overseer dove down, rapidly spinning down the blade. Devidramon raised his head, right on time for Caliburmon’s sword to shred into it, carving a fissure of light across the behemoth’s neck and cranium.

Groaning feebly, the black dragon held completely still as his strength faded away. The white dragon then landed on the ground. Standing upright, he calmly secured his sword onto his back. Right as it clicked into place, the giant Digimon fell on his left side, motionless and silent. His data then decayed away, and at last, he was no more.

Caliburmon walked forward, addressing the three teens he’d just saved. “Are you three alright? Do you have any injuries?”

Yasuko took a deep breath, regaining herself fully. “No. We’re okay. Right, Kigyoku?”

“You know it. Right, Miuna?”

Miuna felt her thoughts racing like lightning, feeling her nerves relax from the fire of her fear. “Right. Right. That was…that was…whoa…” The girl’s eyes then went blank, her strength leaving her as she fell backwards, sinking into unconsciousness.

Sorry for awkwardly phrasing the question.
I just don't hear people bring them up aside from being a collectible and I'm wondering if there's a decent percentage of the fanbase who actively plays them.

I don't know what's come over me since it's pretty out of the blue but I'm honestly feeling an impulse to pick one up and I'm wondering if that's a good idea and/or if people have any recommendations for where to start?

I was looking into the crossover options since I'm a fan of both Godzilla & Monster Hunter (leaning towards Goji in this case) but since they're a bit pricey and hard to get a hold of in Canada I'm considering a slightly cheaper option. I like the idea of them letting you suspend growth, back up Digimon, & battling within the device but... maybe those are common features?

Recommendations appreciated.

#1 Is this series just going to have episodic villains and stories the whole way without any sort of arc villain? I assume towards the end there will be some huge threat that requires more than 1 episode to beat. But I am talking like the mini arc villains that literally all other Digimon series gave us before we get as much as 30 episodes in. I'm impressed they managed to do it this way this long. Where's like the Devimon, Etemon type arcs from Adventure 1? Or even the Mienumon, Charismon types from App Monsters? If its just gonna be low stakes 1 episode or half episode type foes for all 60+ episodes, I'm not sure I'll end up having a high enough opinion of the series by the end. & it started off very promising in my mind.

#2 Why is it taking the MCs this long to stop calling the Digimon "hologram ghosts?" They literally know they are all Digimon from like the first few episodes. This is another thing I'm wondering if they will continue doing the rest of the way. Refer to them as hologram ghosts at the start of each episode and then later realise they are obviously just more Digimon. Its fine for the regular civilians to call them that, but I don't get why the MCs do it early on in basically every episode for 30 episodes now even amongst themselves.

I was trying to do Adventure vibes at first but don't know where I ended up going lol.

Growing up I loved Digimon adventure 1&2, and Digimon tamers. ​I enjoyed them digivolving every battle and then reverting to there forms afterwords. One of my favorite Digimon games as a kid was rumble arena 2. Not only because it was an arena fighter, but because when you died you got reverted to your original form and start over.

So, I completely understand that this style of digivolution is actually abnormal and is spurred on by the digivice and normally a Digimon would train and get stronger to evolve naturally. I know this natural evolution doesnt cause them to revert back, and I get it. However, im hoping there might be a game that might be as i described? One where they have to digivolve each battle, and maybe even digivolve to different forms depending on the opponent reverting back afterwards.

I have Ps5 and switch 2 are my only gaming consoles, please no emulator or psp suggestions. thanks in advance.
