He having an alibi + a money laundering system would do wonders to keeping Walter in line and his family in the down. Walter would be able to vanish every day, 8-10 hours a day, work in the super methlab and give out a nice explanation to his friends and family about where the money is comming from.

I’m obsessed with BB and also obsessed with documentaries, aftermath of large events/crimes, etc and I would LOVEEE to see a “documentary” focusing on Heisenberg from the POV of the DEA, local/national officials, Skyler, Junior, Marie, etc. I feel like that would be such a fun lil epilogue!!!
I personally would have loved a couple of episodes highlighting Skyler/Marie and their grief/process after the fact so I feel like this would be a good way to do that in documentary style lollll

I finished Snowfall recently. What struck me the most is how feared and powerful Franklin became. You really see him settle in as a king, imposing respect and terror, and this phase lasts long enough for us to truly savor his peak.

In Breaking Bad, we get the same feeling with Heisenberg but it’s ridiculously short. He barely reaches the top before everything starts collapsing. We get the build-up and the transformation, but almost no time to see him reign.

Walter considers both Walter Jr. and Jesse as his sons, but he treats them very differently. While he's mostly "soft" with Flynn he's incredibly abusive towards Jesse, and I think the reason is that he thinks of Walter Jr. as a failed experiment because of his disability. Walter subconsciously believes that Flynn's condition makes him weak and will automatically stop him from reaching any real achievement, and whenever his son actually manages to do something Walter always finds a way to put him down (ex: in the car or with the donations site). For this reason he always puts extra pressure on Jesse, who somehow has to compensate Flynn's disability.

edit: guys i'm not saying that Flynn's disability is the ONLY and MAIN reason Walter behaved in a certain way, but that there was also this factor. Also as a disabled person I kinda recognize some patterns haha

I mean, with his degree and contribution to a Nobel Peace Prize, I would think it would be enough to easily get him a better job than a high school teacher.

I like to fantasize about this scenario sometimes, if Walt and Jesse just continued their small business on the RV "The crystal ship", and just had Badger and Skinny Pete handle sales. I know its a silly idea, but it would be such a relaxing, comforting, even funny, lighthearted story. Just occasionally dodging cops or solving problems with petty street crimes.

I have been practicing my writing, and I've always been curious to know what was in Jesse's letter to Brock. So, after looking through Aaron Paul's statements of it being "heartfelt, and honest", and studying some of the Breaking Bad scripts. I think it could look something like this:

Dear Brock,

It’s been a long time. I know you’re probably getting big by now.

I was thinking the other day about that magic trick I showed you with the napkin and the water. To be honest with you, I never actually knew how it worked. I just saw it on some science show and remembered it because I wanted to make you smile.

I need to be honest with you about everything else, too. Your mom was the most amazing, beautiful person. She loved you more than anything in the world. And what happened to her... it happened because of me. The people I was working for wanted to hurt me, to keep me trapped, and they used her to do it. One of the biggest ones had to be the cliff hanger between season 5 episode 8 to episode 9. I just watched the series for the first time, and I wasn’t aware there was a season 5 A and B.

Marius Stan is NOT a professional actor (Los Alamos Physicist). His scene with Cranston in Cornered where he's handing over the Car Wash! Not a false note from him - awesome scene, he plays it extremely well!

I only watched Breaking Bad, I plan to start Better Call Saul one of these days. Now that I'm finally able to browse through community posts and discussions I noticed a few things I don't understand where they come from.

Why the heck everyone hates Skyler?? I truly don't get it. She had the most normal and understandable reactions to everything that happened to her. She obviously wasn't as smart as Walt (who is tho) and wasn't able to think some stuff through enough (the 600k to Beneke for instance), but I was surprised by how good at lying she was (like with the whole gambling story). Unlike Walt, everything she did was really for her family. My heart broke when Walt kidnapped Holly. I also loved the scene where she says to Walt that she'll count as a win every moment the kids spent at Hank and Marie's house. I don't understand how can anyone hate her.

Why do people defend Walt? Like sure at first he's really just doing everything for his family (paying off the house and granting college education to his kids) and for the thrill of it, but he becomes more and more a ruthless monster who doesn't care for anyone except his desire for power. He kills an outstanding amount of people, getting more and more cold blooded at it. He manipulated Jesse an uncountable amount of times just for his benefit, he let Jane die cause she was a danger, he mandated the murder of 10 people in 2 minutes, he manipulated literally everyone in his life. How can anyone defend him?

Not that anyone cares, but my favourite scene was when Hank confronts Walt in the garage. Hank's actor was astonishing.

For me it’s that walking dead and breaking bad occur in the same universe. I believe the reason was that blue meth was seen in the show but I could be wrong.

Just got done ozymandias. Finest hour in all of tv or any media for that matter. Glad to say I did watch it live and it was quite the experience. But the reason I bring this up is because I feel like everybody always mentions Hank getting shot as the most awe-shocking moment in the show. Now obviously that scene has its massive weight and when you first watch the show it’s so crazy to witness that you are just in state of shock for the next 10 min with it being hard to focus. However I’d argue that the finest moments of the episode are scene when Walt and his family have the confrontation in the home. Every time I watch it it brings out the most emotion out of me. When you watch the show as much as I have it still is anxiety ridden and exciting, but it’s hard to capture that first watch experience. But it doesn’t matter how many times I watch that specific scene, I am left on the verge of tears, nervous laughter and a wide open jaw. From Skyler realizing that Hank is dead, Walt being confronted by junior and completely ignoring him, Skyler pulling out a knife and having a fight between Walt and Skyler only to be broken up by Jr, Jr then proceeding to call the police. And if all that wasn’t surreal in its self, the emotion that goes through me when he takes Holly and backs up the truck through Skyler’s car to escape her while Skyler is screaming bloody murder. It’s just something that I’ve never experienced before through any movie or show and I don’t think I ever will. It gets me every single time. Absolutely fine acting, directing and writing. This show will never get old

Why would Hank NOT be trusted by the upper DEA management after breaking what is probably the largest bust in DEA history? Why is he being questioned by upper management and forced to have zero budget to follow Erhmantraut? That makes no fucking sense considering they just confiscated millions of dollars out of Frings account wiring that they discovered in the evidence room. If I had to guess it couldn't cost more than 500-1000 dollars per day to keep a few guys on Mike?

I am not going to pretend to be an expert on how crime busting and confiscation of money being allocated to the DEA would work but couldn't they just use the millions of dollars they found to fund the investigation to get to the very bottom of it all?

Also the FBI would be on this ASAP. It would be priority number 1.

All that being said I know it was solely used as plot advancement (no this is not a plot hole lmao).

We also learn that Saul was a persona, an alias, a fairly one-dimensional creation of James McGill, who is a much more complicated and tragic character.

It will make all my future watches of Breaking Bad a little more sad, knowing Saul isn’t just a wacky, hilarious, smooth talking criminal lawyer, but the broken shell of a man who suffered extreme trauma not long before.Most of Walt’s career was due to Saul. I’ve always wondered whether Gus truly saw through Walt from the start. Did he already know Walt was the kind of person who’d go to any lengths to get what he wanted, or do you think even Gus would’ve been shocked by how far Walt ended up going?
I know Mike eventually read Walt for exactly who he was, but I’m curious if Gus did too, or if Walt still managed to surprise him.

After watching BCS and seeing how good Mike is at tracking someone down. I was kind of left a bit confused at how Jesse is able to find Gales adress so easily when Mike probably has his eyes on the whole of Albuquerque.

Oh my God. I can’t believe it took this summer and one TikTok comment for me to finally give this show a real chance.
I’ve been trying to watch it since 2022, but it just wasn’t my cup of tea. I think it’s because the biggest shows I’d watched before were Prison Break, Money Heist, and Game of Thrones and maybe some girly shows . They all hook you immediately, while Breaking Bad felt much slower. The only slower shows I’d watched before were romance shows, so I just couldn’t get into it.
This summer I saw yet another TikTok comment calling it one of the greatest shows ever, so I thought, “Maybe I’m missing something.” I gave it one last chance with my phone out of sight.
I started with my phone in my hand and somehow completely forgot it even existed. That’s how invested I became.
I finished the show today, and I’ve never binged a series this hard. I’ll definitely rewatch it because I’m sure I missed a lot.
Walter White’s character development genuinely left me speechless. So many stories either reveal the “good guy” was evil all along or rush the transformation. Breaking Bad lets you watch it happen little by little.( I couldn’t believe Walter was the guy at the end of the series )
I actually made a post the other day saying Breaking Bad had no business being this funny. The scene I used as an example wasn’t even what I thought it was. 😭 People corrected me, and they were right. Now I’m wondering if I’m just slow or if Walter’s slow burn really was that subtle.

I wish we’d gotten more Mike and Gus, I know we got Gus and Mike, but I honestly wish we’d seen more of them. They were such a badass duo, and both of them went out like absolute Gs.
I also wish we’d gotten more Mike and Jesse. I loved their dynamic,
and more Jesse and Mike too. Mike saw right through Walter’s bullshit when it came to Jesse, and that hurts even more looking back.
I’ll probably make another post once my head stops spinning because I have so much more to say.
And before anyone recommends another show, thank you, but I don’t really like shows that feel too similar to ones I’ve already seen. One thing I loved is that Prison Break, Money Heist, Game of Thrones, and Breaking Bad all feel completely different.

Walt could produce the same purity in a stripped out RV and a Superlab. Jesse and Gale on their own could produce a purity of 96% . Gale said that extra 3% was incredible.

There was no secret ingredient ( like Jesse’s Chilli P). Everyone one followed the same recipe.

All I think is a control freak like Walt is a super perfectionist, he doesn’t skip anything and has every little step from the temperature , the volume and timing down precisely .
