My original video.

He got stuck in my grandma’s greenhouse (bc its made of glass) I I came and rescued him :)

Location: Belgium, West Flanders.

It was sitting outside tucked away against a brick wall not far from where I live and it didn't even attempt to fly away when I approached it.

I put it in a cardboard box with a thin pillow and after 4 hours I heard it making noise so I put the box outside and opened it completely but when it tried to fly it couldn't create enough lift so it ended up on the floor of my balcony.

It's now back in the box and very calm. I'm think it might be best not to disturb it until tomorrow.

I'm thinking about letting it try to fly tomorrow again and if it can't I'll take it to a wildlife rescue place.

These two birds are completely conscious. Yet will not move. I can walk right up to them. I could probably pick them up if I wanted (I'm not touching them). They act as if I'm not even there.

A daily visitor scoped the garden

On my walk today, I almost saw this almost get hit by a Dodge Caravan when it took off. It was busy eating a raccoon roadkill snack.

Is this pigeon just trying to cool down, or does it actually enjoy sitting directly on the fountain spray? It was well over 40°C (104°F) here today, so I'm guessing it's just desperate for water, but it seemed totally unbothered.

This bird has been coming to my kitchen window all day long and I’ve never seen a bird like this. It’s hard to tell, but it kind of looks like it had a metal ring on its leg.

My kitchen window doesn’t open so I can’t bring it inside

If it is a pet, what am I supposed to do? Is there someone I can call?

Now first of all, I don’t know if these babies fell out of the nest or if the mom is training them because the nest is like right beside them and the parent bird still comes to feed them (also the nest is really well built). Buuuut the babies are a bit out in the open, where other birds (pigeons, jungle babblers, bulbuls, and mynahs. We don’t get crows or hawks here BUT there’s a few stray cats I see every once in a while, and also my chickens but I’m keeping them in an enclosure) also hang out.

I’m not sure about the breed but the parent bird is like really tiny like a quarter size of a pigeon.

This is my property so is there anything I’m supposed to do to protect them from other birds/potential stray cats?

Fixing the brake of my bike when a young raven came over to help me.
Very nosy I might say. Even came back for an inspection.
I might add that I was holding on to the tool so it was not the raven handing it to me 😄

… this bird from this not-great picture?

I saw a killdeer sitting in one place on the shoulder of the road for quite a while. Checked it out, and there's three babies! It's close enough to the road that a person could pull off the road and easily run them over. Do I need to put cones around it? Do I need to call fish and game? When they leave the nest will they wander into the road? Looking for advice.

Update: Just drove past there again and they are gone! Looks like they have moved on to a safer location.
