My friend started inviting me into airsoft, and I want to give it more of a try! I want to hear people's advice cause I really am super new.

I'm looking for a base to put some leaves over my neck and it's either this, or the NOV's one with nose protection, but that doesn't fit my goggles very well (I've tested it, it's kinda iffy).

I've always loved collecting kits, and only recently got into airsoft. I have a simple Russian kit with full camo and stuff, but my local field just seems to be dudes rocking hoodies and jeans.

Would I be seen as too cringe and larp bringing like an actual uniform and stuff? I want to make a good first impression and I'm scared of being judged.

This is my collection. All of these guns cost cents in US dollars once converted. They have the great quality and same models as the very well known UKarms and I guess their suppliers are prob the same. Only one survived after 2018 and the others didn’t. The 2018 toy guns ban made it harder to produce Bb and Airsoft (6mm plastic pellets) guns as anything above a very low joule amount was now illegal. Of these are nos pre 2018 models and can still be found in markets and small stores. Many people don’t even know these are illegal ish now. Police don’t care. Until it’s a gas gun or you mess up big time.

This is my first airsoft kit and on a budget. I'm new to airsoft but I wish I could spend more.

Had this area in the basement for a long time, it was always an absolute mess and covered in a bunch of garbage we’d been keeping in storage.

I’m staring a new teching business, buying old boneyard guns, fixing, tuning, upgrading, and selling them. Hopefully some day doing custom build orders too if I can find clients.

Right now I’ve got on the bench an old JG ak from the early 2000s I’m modernizing, and a Frankenstein M4 with an elite force poly receiver that’s getting turned into a CQB analog sleeper.

Mom was tired of me using the kitchen table for it, which is fair, so I came down cleaned this whole thing off, put some legs in that pegboard, laid all my tools out, and stole one of the dining chairs we don’t use. I need a real chair eventually, but this works for now!

On the back wall I have (top left to bottom right), a crossman springer that was actually my first ever airsoft gun that my older brother got me for Christmas after he left for the coast guard, the UMP I bought when I made my first major purchase after my first job, an old JG G3 AEG from the early 2000s bought recently with the AK and is now my for sure my favorite piece, a like 10 year old lancer tactical I bought with birthday money as a kid for my first ever serious airsoft gun that I painted poorly and stuck a pulse rifle conversion kit I got in a BOA on, just a couple pistols nothing that special, and the limited edition pink G36 AEG with white mag :3

Wanted to show off my custom MTW build I did. It is the MTW Forged series that is 10inch. Here is an after and before photo of what I originally had and what I have evolved the gun into over the years. I’ve had this gun for about 4 years now and it still kicks ass! Love to hear some comments or suggestions on the rifle if you have any!

I got some negativity on changing up the hardware from the KAC look to seemingly sub-par alternative parts but I am stoked about what this thing is now and I wanted to share it.

Internal mods: unicorn inner barrel, 80 deg rubber and nub, GHK 2022 hop system, Ra-tech magnetic locking nozzle, some real steel receiver pins and springs where applicable, interchanging with stock and winter hammer spring and buffer spring.

Strike industries has a large share in this build. Gridlock 15” handguard, cobra trigger guard, added the charging handle extension to the stock handle, advanced receiver extension (put some 50eurocents in there as spacer), optimus weight buffer, link anchor handstop and a few mlok covers.

dnA steel outer barrel 14,5”, SOCOM profile with Real Steel muzzle threads. (Now with adapter to 14mm ccw cause it was a little too short for a DMR).

Muzzle device is an AAC battlecomp 51T with AAC replica suppressor.

And then the stock, the only fixed one I had but I needed the length. Hera Arms CQR with 45mm spacer.

Attached a 120kg carabiner to it for better placement of the modded MS-4 sling with paraclip attachment.

LPVO is a vector optics tauron genII 1-6x24 SFP.

Bought a second selector bar and modded it to semi only. Also changed the offhand selector switch to the cut off one.

I’m possibly forgetting something, but here we are. Too much for airsoft perhaps, but I bleepin’ love it.

(Originally the muzzle device was a strike JCOMP paired with an oppressor).

I asked about getting a scar last week…. Things did not go to plan lol. Not a bad first gun if you ask me though

I haven’t played siege in years, but I adore this skin so much and I always wanted to have one in my hands. Not done yet, but only some minor green/teal details left and then just clear coating remains.

I know this is probably a long shot, but does anyone know of an airsoft version of the Russian Heavy Assault revolver labled the “RSH-12”?

I've gotten my younger siblings into airsoft (both under 12) but getting shot hurts them a bit too much and is taking a lot of the fun out of it. So yall got any ideas for some body armor I can buy/make?

I've looked at some sports stuff but they're still pretty small and I'm not too sure if the fit will be good enough. Thanks!

This is how I currently look in my kit, and I’m a little worried that the plash palatka looks too cringe / is too much.

I bought the plash palatka because a lot of my gear is of temu, looks cheap, and doesn’t really match at all (not that the plash palatka helps much in that regard).

I wanted my kit to just look good on the field whilst not breaking the bank.

Kit:

Vest: 30 euro, Temu (been battle tested for like 10 games i personally love it)

Pants: 5 euro, Temu

Boots: 15 Euro, Temu (Incredibly comfortable and light)

Balaclava: 5 euro, Temu

Mask: Dye4, ~140 euro

Helmet: Forgot the name, ~150 Euro

Plash Palatka: Real Romanian military plash palatka (Dated from: 1980), ~25 Euro

Shirt: Real Austrian military shirt, 5 Euro

Definitely not a finished build, but I'm wondering what could improve it just a hair more? If anyone has some ideas or wants to share their build let me know! Would love to see some sick AR builds
