I’m part of a small team building a digital tracking for airsoft matches right now, adapted from tech we build for other use cases and still at a very early rough version. The idea is simple: tiny lightweight modules that clip onto your airsoft gun, plus field cameras that track where everyone’s aiming, call hits automatically, and pull full match stats like accuracy and reaction time.

It also has a spectator dashboard that shows the whole field in real time, so fields could stream matches or post post-game breakdowns with actual data instead of just hearsay. No more arguing about hits mid-skimish, basically.

It’s super bare bones right now and we’re not sure if there’s any real demand, so figured I’d ask here:

1. If your local field ran this for a couple extra bucks per game, would you care?

2. Is there any feature you’ve always wanted at skirmishes that doesn’t exist right now?

3. Do you think match stats and streams would make local events more fun to follow?

Not selling anything, not even close to a full product yet — just trying to figure out if we should keep working on the airsoft version or stay to our other projects. Any honest take is appreciated.

~Appreciate all the honest feedback so far, really helps us sort through options. Quick follow up on the multiplayer match tracking side — we're weighing three different technical approaches right now, each with pretty different tradeoffs:

1. Camera-only BB detection (small indoor fields only, running on local on-site computing): No extra gear on guns at all, just field cameras using AI to detect hits. Full regular airsoft experience, just auto-scored. We know this has hard range and accuracy limits, so we're only evaluating it for tight indoor arenas.
2. IR laser + BB hybrid: Small laser module mounted on your gun, you still shoot normal BBs for the feel, but official match scoring is based on the laser hits for consistency.
3. IR-only no BBs: Same airsoft gun form factor, fully laser-based hit detection, no projectiles at all.

Curious if any of these sound like they'd be worth the extra cost at a field, or if none of them really solve a problem people actually have? No wrong answers, just trying to figure out what's actually worth pouring time into.

After pulling the bolt, there is a click and a tiny bit of resistance before fully chambering. Im assuming this is normal but just making sure since it had to be assembled before use.

Testing the new HPA-powered shell-ejecting Barrett M107 from SOCOM Gear. Definitely a more consistent performance from the new HPA system, which allows it to eject real .50 brass for videos and films as a prop gun.

im looking for a an airsoft shotgun that doesnt require green gas, and is around 200$ or less. Would really appreciate some suggestions, im new to airsoft

ive ordered 6 of these mags and an odin. how long should i fill them overnight for to break them in for?

ich will mir eine GBB Softair Pistole zulegen. Meine erste. Ich will eine, die ziemlich 1zu1, zu einer scharfen ist. Vollmetall, das passende Gewicht, etc. deswegen auch blowback. Ich überlege zwischen sig, glock, combat master. Wobei ich mal eine Glock 19 Schreckschuss hatte, bei der es fast unmöglich war abzukrümmen ohne das der Finger wehtut . Auch allgemein war die Glock sehr verkantet und nicht so „smooth“ wie meine Luftpistole colt goverment 1911 zb.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I'm trying to learn more about plate carriers from people who actually run them.

I'm getting into designing tactical gear and looking at carriers lately. There are so many options out there that it's hard to tell what really matters and what's just marketing.

A few things I'm curious about:

• Is a quick release system something you expect on every carrier, or are there situations where it's not really necessary?
• Do you prefer a simple MOLLE setup or more built-in features?
• Front placards vs fixed mag pouches — what works better in real use?
• Is keeping the carrier lightweight more important, or are extra features worth the added weight?

Also curious what you think brands often get wrong when designing carriers, or what features are overrated.

Anyone else running a full ACETAC setup?

I've become a huge fan of ACETAC Gear. To the point where I've pretty much bought almost their entire lineup.

I'm not really a "gear whore" who buys every new thing that drops—I just like sticking with one ecosystem that works. So far the quality, modularity, and value have been solid for me.

I'm curious:

- Who else here runs mostly ACETAC?

- What's your current loadout?

- What do you like or dislike after real range time or field use?

- Have you compared it against Crye, Ferro, Spiritus, Haley, or other brands?

I'd love to see pictures of your kits and hear what you've changed or kept stock.

I bought this mostly as a joke knowing it probably wouldn’t handle a bb but to my surprise it held up well with only small dents from bbs.

I live in Germany and we have regulation on full auto over 0.5 joule so so you guys know any AKs with 0.5 joule or less. I saw a lot of them on softair.zone but I don’t know if it’s a trustworthy site + they never have anything in stock.

I ordered an open bolt conversion kit for a WE tech scar L and it’s been over 2 months and I haven’t gotten any updates from them are they ever going to ship it or should I do a charge back?

How accurate are your best rifles? What kind of shots can you hit consistently at what range?

I bought this gun last year, been shooting it a while. Put a cheap Tasco .22 scope on it. Settled on .36 BBs. After futzing with the hop up, I can hit a beer can at 40yds 50% of the time, light to no wind. Seems better than any of my other guns. Is that about as accurate as I can hope for?

Closest to that is my CYMA M14 (now an M21😊 ).

2009 release, Carbon Black (blasted and polished) finish. Original frame (with a notice about licensed trademarks on the dust cover) that was broken has been replaced with one from M92FS Die Hard CB model to keep the same finish.

Replica of the first model that used Brigadier slide - the very rare Beretta 92FS-Navy prototype with heavy slide and steel frame which was displayed during Shot Show 2009 in Beretta booth.

This is my first airsoft kit and on a budget. I'm new to airsoft but I wish I could spend more.
