COME ON MAN. FOR REAL? FOR HONEST AND FOR TRUE?!

I'm going to take a break from this for a long while now ... RPG's seem to be calling my name now, for a bit.

Question Current Thoughts on Star Trek Commanders?

Was thinking about dropping doubloons on one of the Star Trek commanders, but not sure which are worth it? I don’t play a lot of Japanese BB’s bit was thinking about the Borg Queen. Maybe Picard but I’m a semi-retired CV player.

Is there anyone that sticks out to you, or has an inspiration that is worth it? Only commander I’ve bought so far is Bismarck for secondary shenanigans. Have a decent chunk of dubs sitting around though, was thinking of grabbing one commander per cycle.

PS I did not realize the 3 letter abbreviation of Japanese was offensive, my bad! 😅

Need Advice Siliwangi or save for Elbing?

Title. Got my GXP up, time for a new boat. I have a variety of boats in my port, and consider myself decent all around (constantly top 4 in my team).

Which of these boats will give me more carry potential?

Commanders I plan on using would be Blue Furiora or Sa Zhenbing.

Need Advice Gascogne worth it?

I’m a long time player and I play a lot of the French BBs. I enjoy champagne & JB, is Gascogne worth the GXP?

JB is point and shoot, and Champagne is almost just a big cruiser. Super accurate guns, fast, MBRR, meh armor…. How does Gascogne vary from Champagne?

Question Dispersion vs Grouping for battleships?

Overall is dispersion or grouping generally better point for point? I’m not a big battleship player but I’ve been recently working up the American lines and I was wondering about inspirations for an accuracy build. I’m using Cunningham as the first but for the second I’m considering Iachino (at 9/2) vs the new Spanish commander, Ferrandiz y Nino(at 8/1). I’m just not clear on which stat works out better in the long run.

Question T2 Vampire - Waller?

Upvotes

So I’ve got this little free ship, gave it a whirl in Standard. Only 4 ships in the match, no A.I. which was nice

But I’ve only got Murray at 7/1. How do I get Waller? Can’t buy him. Commander crates only?

Why so many of you with 16/4 Waller playing at T2? now that I’m paying attention. You’re the seal clubbers with super low win rates?

Question Hellow ladies and gentlejits

I just started playing this awesome game and i must say wow its soo much better than blitz its not even funny

I have the osbourne and i am working my way through japanese BBs

I purchased a minor amount of doubloons and i am currently wondering before i pull any trigger:

What are decent or even foolproof ships (mainly BBs, but any survivable ship suggestions will be greatly appreciated..)

Around tier IV-VI (thats not a keyboard emoji lol even though it looks like it, *tier 4 through 6*) and around 6,250 - 10,000 gold/doubloons..

Ive already heard really great things about guilio cesare and hyuga so im already considering those

Whats a very VERY tanky premium ship in that price and tier range?

Are there any ships that have ironclad trait aswell as either a “guns aplenty” or “big guns” trait?

Thanks, im really new and this game has so many cool mechanics that it kind of gets confusing lol

I love getting to do this when the match is (hopefully) in the bag. I knew the two cruisers were there but the DD was a nice windfall.

General What if we had a Territory Control mode instead of another Capture the Base?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I dont know if this idea has been posted before but I kept thinking about it while playing. I attached a short video to kinda show what I mean.

Right now like 90% of our matches are basically capture the base. Doesn't matter if its domination or standard, they all end up feeling pretty similar after thousands of games.

My idea is a completely different mode based on territory control

Instead of the minimap being around 100 large squares, imagine the exact same map size but divided into something like 1,000-2,000 much smaller tiles

Whenever a blue team ship sails through neutral territory, those tiles become blue. Red team does the same on their side. The match UI would constantly show something like:

Blue: 24% map control
Red: 31% map control

If blue reaches something like 70% control they instantly win. Or of course by wiping out the enemy team like normal.

The interesting part is what this would do to gameplay.

DDs suddenly have an actual reason to keep moving around the map instead of sitting in smoke forever.
Cruisers hiding behind the same island for 12 minutes would eventually have to move if they want their team to keep up in map control.
BBs spending the whole match reversing on the J line farming damage would actually have to leave their comfort zone.
Teams couldn't just abandon an entire flank because giving away huge chunks of territory would actually matter.

I think matches would become way more dynamic. More pushes, more flanking, more fights breaking out all over the map instead of everyone staring at the same island for 10 minutes waiting for somebody else to make the first move.

It would also reward map awareness instead of just raw damage farming. Sometimes the right play isn't another 15k salvo, its taking control of another section of the battlefield.

Maybe 70% is too much. Maybe 60% would work better. Maybe the percentages need balancing. Thats all adjustable.

I just think WoWS Legends could really use one mode that encourages movement instead of camping.

Would you actually play something like this or would it end up being a complete mess? I'm honestly curious what you guys think.
