My buddy picked up a bunch of models at a garage sale and gifted me a few. I have 5 of these dudes and what looks like their unit leader. I thought they were eradicators at first but not 100% sure. Anyway the assembly wasn’t the best, and the paint was pretty rough, I’ve been working on stripping them down getting them cleaned up and repainted. I’ll add some more pictures when the basing is completed. Let me know your thoughts!

Hello, I'm thinking of doing an ultra marine army in the future and I'm working on the paint scheme what do you all think of the blue and what could I do differently? I know the gun needs some highlighting and the hot effect on the barrel :). Just curious what you all think of it?

As the title says I’m trying to decide what unit to bring in my army; I play blade of ultramar/gladius with priority assets so I’m mostly looking for a unit to help me fight over objective so that others can play the mission. With all the victrix and character nerfs I’ve found that a generic captain with 3 victrix with banner is 205. Coincidentally 6 Bladeguard with a lieutenant is also 205. Due to their recent rules change they can now also hit on 2+ if I so wish, and with lethal hits they can likely land more hits than the victrix. What do you guys think? Which unit is more useful to try and bully other infantry off objectives and hold them?

So I’m one of those hobbyist who had a big pile of shame and kept adding to it. I’ve finally jumped at the chance to go to Warhammer World and play in the First Contact event this weekend.

1000 points, painting isn’t a requirement but I wanted to 1. Try my hand at actually using an airbrush and 2. Make them actually read as ultramarines.

Currently have done: black primer - shadow base coat - main colour zenithal. Feel like another highlight layer and edge highlight will really set these guys off.

Anyway…. I’ve put my list below, any last minute tips for playing/ is the detachment and force disposition I’ve selected good for a beginner to get to grips with the game.
