Hey yall, hows the love of the Christ shining in your heart today? I bet its brighter than you think.
I may not believe in a most high, triune God anymore, but its Jesus's compassion and faith of his people that urges me to reach understanding and love with all. So when I find this subreddit, after ive cooled my ills from a previous faith, I find myself in need to hug all yall and thank you for standing up for what love really is.
I used to be angry and ironically, I said as hurtful things to good-faith Christians in my non-belief, as I did to the LGBTQ I said in my faith. And im sorry. Hate is Hurt and if im ever going to meet another where they exist, I have to let that stuff go, ya know?
Ya, the Tao helped with that, and I found myself understanding experiencing the moment through the nature of the world I live in, but such contemplations are found in Christendom. As much as Alan Watts (Former Episcaleon Pastor turned Taoist/Buddhist Speaker explaining such things to a western audience, passed late 70's) spoke relieving the pressures and weight of the strict dogma certain denominations carry, he articulated so poetically how the words of the Christ were those that spoke to us all.
I find the tension, the thorn in my side if you will, is a hatred that must cool, must sublimate, must transform as Christ was glorified. I feel in this we may have much to discuss, whether if I roll a boulder up a mountain daily or you carry a cross daily.
May you walk in the Way...
