Toyota has indirectly teased the 13th-generation Corolla with a blur of the final design. It appears ready for production.

It's nearly all accurate to the concept unveiled in Tokyo, and it's confirmed to have a lineup of gas, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and EV drivetrains throughout.

Expect the final product to reveal later this year or early next year.

The pack in my 2012 is starting to fail. Dealer quoted $7k for the battery, it looks like they run about $3k in the US + shipping from third parties. I also have some quotes from China for $1000-$2000 plus shipping. These are supposedly new cells. There appear to be companies offering new prismatic cells. Is there any advantage/disadvantage to prismatic vs cylindrical?

I have a 2015 Toyota Corolla, the garage says that this is an evap line that needs to be replaced. They say that it's part of the fuel tank and that the entire tank needs to be replaced, can someone confirm the part and whether or not the entire tank in fact must be replaced?

Been car shopping for quite a while now it’s been hard to find quality cars that have been maintained in my area within my budget. I came across this car a 2007 Toyota Avalon I know it’s super old but it stands out to me because its one owner with diligent maintenance. Dealer is asking 6995 I believe mileage is 130k would of Course get a pre purchase inspection. Even though it’s a Toyota should I just pass because of the age?

My iPhone 13 Pro Max will not connect to my 2023 Camry for charging or for CarPlay.

I ended up buying an anker cable from Walmart, and it still didn’t work. I tried to clean out the port, and it still didn’t work. I had a friend come over and check the fuses and none of them were blown. Eventually, I went back to the dealership to get a diagnostic.

They claimed the USB port should charge, but that it doesn’t display CarPlay because there is a bent prong inside the port preventing contact. The fix was going to cost almost $550 so I just said whatever, it’s not worth it.

Yesterday, another friend tried to connect their android to my car and it WORKED. It charged the phone and asked to connect to android auto.

Is this a problem with the anker cable I used, or are apple CarPlay and android auto controlled by different parts of the port?? I’m so confused rn, any help is welcome.

Yes, you read that right. I recently bought a 2011 Toyota Camry with only 75,000 miles from the original owner. It recently started shuddering, and after driving at higher RPMs I can actually smell what seems like burnt transmission fluid.

I did some research and found that the 2011–2015 Camrys seem to have fairly common torque converter issues, so now I’m wondering if that’s what I’m dealing with.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what ended up fixing it? Was it the torque converter, a transmission fluid exchange, a software update, or something else?
Any advice on what I should do next would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry if this is the wrong place but figured this sub was the most knowledgeable place to go. I'm currently looking to upgrade from my beloved 2005 Sienna and we have found 2017 Sienna that is a very good deal, immaculate condition with full documented history of regular maintenance, but it does have 130,000 miles on it. I had originally been eying 2016 as the sweet spot if we went Sienna but this vehicle is a much better deal than anything else we have come across. Also not that it matters much but we are familiar with the seller and trust them and how they take care of their stuff. I guess I'm just concerned a transmission replacement is an inevitability... Like if it gets a clean bill from a third party inspection it doesn't change the reality that the transmission is a ticking bomb. Is that wrong? Is the chance of the transmission failing overblown? Any help understanding the situation is appreciated. Thank you.

If i change my front fog light do i need to do software diagnostic or anything else? Or its just normal light change?
