I speculate that Samsung drew inspiration from the OPPO Find N2 and HUAWEI Pura X Max in developing the Galaxy Z Fold 8, a foldable with a wider aspect ratio designed for richer multimedia experiences.

Was told to buy an Iphone instead of Oneplus at Digital Walker

A few weeks ago before Oneplus announced that they were leaving the international market, I bought the Oneplus 15 and its been a great phone so far. It was my final choice for my first flagship phone as it has all the features I need. But after I paid for it and while unboxing it at the store, one of the salesmen said something along the lines of 'Sa ganyang presyo, dapat nag iphone ka na lang.'

I know the base model Iphone 17 is around the same price as the Oneplus 15 but I really prefer android. Oneplus also has a bigger battery capacity. No hate towards Iphone tho, its UI and colors are really good. I just don't like unsolicited comments. In the end, I just told the salesman that I prefer android and left it at that.

Okay parin naman ang Digital Walker. Just a weird, one off experience.

The new Samsung Galaxy Fold8 is amazing

Got a chance to attend the local preview last week and the Samsung Galaxy Fold8 (full hands-on here) is easily my favorite foldable so far.

  • Love the size. You can reach everything even with one hand esp kapag you're using the outer display.
  • 4:3 aspect ratio is more for the content and the multiasking
  • Still just as powerful as the pricier Fold8 Ultra if you con't mind having the dual cameras

The prices are steeper this year (fuck AI), but you can take advantage of the offers para makamura.

Planning to trade in my S24 Ultra for the all new Galaxy Fold8 in a new shape *amaaayzing btw*

And huhu the Samsung Reservation+ voucher doesnt stack pala with trade ins.

May iba pa bang vouchers na di konalam? Or eto nanba best possible deal? 🥲🥲

Hoping may ma squeeze pa na konting discount para ma check out na agad.

Preordered the ZFold 8 Ultra!

Post image

Had a hard time deciding between ZFold 8 (Wide) and the Ultra especially di ko pa sila nahahawakan personally.

Medyo sad voucher offerings ngayon tapos di pa stackable. Also no free storage upgrade.

Anyway, decided to go with Ultra to replace my Fold 5.

Vouchers used:

- LS-PHGALAXYUNPACKED (Until July 23)

- Samsung Reservation+ Voucher (Php 2000 but worth Php 6000 when used)

Gets ko pa rin naman if malls can be a viable option such as;

-Peace of mind that the package will not be tampered

-If there is a defect out of the box, it can be easily replaced

-There are demo phones

-Electricity, employee pay, and being strictly msrp-based, etc.

-If very high value for example an 80k+ macbook, since you have enough budget to spend big to do so, it's viable to place your money for the safer route.

However, I've seen a significant difference between mall pricing and online pricing. Like for example, the Galaxy S25 FE. If online the 256GB variant was purchaseable for 28k pesos. Pero noong nakita ko yung physical store pricing the difference is insane to those who will not afford it there, the same configuration costs whopping 46K. That's basically iPhone 17/S26 money already. Even the Galaxy A57, sa online pinakamababa is 15k meanwhile sa physical store the msrp is 30k. At 30k, for my money's worth I should be getting premium flagship killers already.

There's a level I can pay more for peace of mind, but the 10-15k difference for the same product is too big to consider. Kau ba?

Are you willing to give up portability of a laptop to a more decent PC set up?

Upvotes

Hello, Im really torn in choosing laptop vs building a PC for my first major tech purchase ever.

For context, Im a casual gamer, I have a full time job, already owned a mid-tier laptop before, and I think fit talaga ang laptop sa lifestyle ko -- madadala ko siya pag bibisita sa family ko etc etc, or if I decided na maghanap na ng sariling place (di hassle lumipat)

Problem is, budget ko lang around 80k php, can stretch to 90k max. and looking kasi ako for a laptop na decent gaming specs (i.e. rtx 5060, 16gb ram, upgradable storage, ryzen 7 / intel eq), Prio brands: ASUS/Lenovo, and brandnew. Nagcanvass na ako sa gilmore and other shops, and 100k+++ na yung mag mmatch sa specs na gusto ko (Lenovo legion / TUF gaming series) :<<<<

If bumili ako lower tier, chances few yrs from now di ko na rin siya malalaro same as before (i.e. genshin)

May point ba this yr or next yr na bababa price ng laptop (parang malabo dahil sa AI)? Or give up na at mag build na lang ng PC? May tips or insights ba kayo for this plsss

What’s My Laptop’s Problem?

Hi, everyone!

Recently bought the laptop Acer Aspire Go 14 from Silicon Valley. It has a weird problem: it shuts down, restarts, and forces itself to recovery. Cycle repeats itself again and again. Pero here’s the weird thing: This only happens when I go OUTSIDE of our house. It works perfectly fine at home which is weird.

I initially wanted it to be replaced by Silicon Valley since nung July 13 ko lang binili. But they said I couldn’t since sira na raw yung box. Ganon ba talaga yun? Hard-earned money ko rin naman yung 38k for this. Huhu.

Baka alam niyo problem nitong laptop. Really desperate to fix it. :(((

May wrong diagnosis yung repair shop.

Need daw palitan yung lcd. May downpayment akong binigay kasi need pa nila i-order yung parts.

After waiting for 1.5months saka pa lang dumating yung order. Flex cable is ok din. Nasa motherboard na raw yung sira and ayaw na nila galawin yung area na yun. So parang I waited for nothing.

Is this common sa tech industry? Like parang trial and error ang gawin?

iPhone 17e or iPhone 16 for Mom

Halooo! Mom’s planning to upgrade from her iPhone 13 na gamit niya since 2021. Medyo mabagal na daw for her so I think due na rin talaga for replacement. 😅

Which one would you recommend : iPhone 17e 256GB (₱38.7k) or iPhone 16 128GB (₱43.5k)? Budget is around 45k.

Basic user lang naman siya. Messenger, Facebook, TikTok/YouTube, browsing, and taking casual photos.

Planning to keep the new phone for another 4–5 years din probably. Which one would be more practical and better long-term?

Thank you!

Hi! First Handheld pc ko to kapag nagkataon. Mga games na plano ko laruin sa ngayon ay Hoyoverse titles like Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai Impact 3rd, Maybe ZZZ if available? Saka Grand Chase.

Or mag gaming tablet nalang ako?

Looking for cheap phone recommendations pls!

I'm looking to buy a new phone na budget-friendly, around 8-9k lang sana. Yung good for everyday use, since I only use my phone for messaging/social media apps, banking, online shopping, transportation apps, notes, music, and youtube. Di ko ginagamit for gaming.

Ok sana ung camera (although di kailangan na sobrang high quality), bihira yung lags, less to none yung bloatware, may 2 sim card slots, at lagayan ng sd card.

Xiaomi Redmi 10c yung luma kong gamit, not really happy sa dami ng bloatware. But I'm still considering kung mag Redmi uli ako, or Oppo/Samsung na lang. TIA !
