Okay so maybe it’s just me but I’m one of those people that has to commute to Santa Fe because I can’t afford to live there. Some people I know have up to two jobs to live in Santa Fe. It makes me feel in a way hopeless because I feel like I’m never going to be able to afford living there when I’ve been working in Santa Fe for a while already. I just want to know if anyone else is in the same situation as I am. Because for sure I know I’m not the only one who thinks rent in Santa Fe is too high. Thoughts?

Anyone know what the black cables stretched across many Santa Fe streets/roads are? They are in pairs (or more) and have appeared in the last day or so. They look like systems to measure traffic (for new stop signs/lights?), but the placement of some seems odd if that is the purpose. Just curious.

Looking at Solwyn, Turquesa, Madera, Presidium, and Acequia (if there’s an opening). Budget’s $1800-2k for a 1bd/1ba, but if anyone knows a way to snag a 2bd/1ba in that range at these (or elsewhere), I’m all ears.

Anyone lived at any of these or know someone who has? I know Solwyn and Turquesa are Greystar properties and I’ve seen the comments. Just want to know if actual residents had good or bad experiences. Management responsiveness, noise, random fees, parking situation, that kind of thing.

Also lmk if there’s an obvious option I’m sleeping on that should be in the mix.

I’m trying to save the day a little for my wife. She is due in September and we had a maternity photo session done almost two months ago. Our photographer has been unresponsive and has now reached out to say they are going on vacation for the next few weeks and will work on it when they get back. We had planned to use the maternity session to do our pregnancy announcements and my wife is just upset about the whole thing. Obviously I’m not going to book anything without being able to look through portfolios with her. But would anyone know any good maternity photographers who would be able to do a session in the Jemez one of these upcoming weekends?

3-year-old Boxer hasn't had the best life - he arrived at the shelter a few months ago, nervous around people and way too thin - but he's got the sweetest, most optimistic spirit. Boxer has enjoyed other dogs at the shelter, seemingly gaining some confidence after being paired with a kennel mate. He showed no prey drive, which suggests he may be open to living with cats (a slow, safe intro is always best with new animals).

Boxer is medium-sized, chipped and vaccinated, great on leash, and so ready for a home of his own: even a foster break would be amazing! Please visit Santa Fe Animal Shelter to meet him or learn more!

So this lovely subreddit convinced me to visit Santa Fe in September.

That said, I have a tight window for getting to ABQ for my flight - leaving Santa Fe at around 7pm, I need to be IN ABQ for an 11:35pm flight, and I can't drive! I'm looking for reliable, legit, trustworthy options for shuttle sevice, and I found that since Groome ended apparently NMShuttle is the only one.

Does anyone have experience with this company? Are they legit? I'm flying international so it's a bit gamble for a company that only has GooglReviews, no Trustpilot...
