Discussion Strauss was a terrible man, and people sympathize with him far too often.

He preyed on poor people, unlike the rest of the gang, who mainly stole from people who were thieves themselves. The repayments were minimal, and he didn't even collect them himself—he didn't have the courage to do that.

He never fought alongside the gang and didn't contribute much else to the camp.

He was simply a vulture preying on poor, vulnerable people.

The only thing that surprises me is that he died in prison without ever giving up a single name.

Spoilers Just got spooked BAD...

So I'm collecting orchids in the swamp and the sun starts to go down, but I figure "hey, it'll be easier to see the highlighted flowers in darkness" so I keep right on looking. Until a night person leaps across my path, spooks my horse and I get ambushed by three more night people. But that's not all; I keep looking and then around 4:15am, I'm thinking "okay, it's near dawn, I should be safe" so I'm still hunting orchids and suddenly hear someone wailing. Looks to be a woman in a night dress kneeling on the ground, sobbing. I go to help, and... ambushed by the night people AGAIN. I honestly didn't think they'd show up again after that first mission dealing with them.

Question Birds hunting

Hello… I started a campfire, and my coffee is warming up.

Sit down, I need your expertise… your talent.

How do you manage to spot all those little birds ?

How do you hunt them ?

How do you even see them ?

I can barely detect them. The few I’ve managed to spot were only after riding past a tree or a bush on horseback.

I rarely have enough time to aim or shoot, so I miss every time.

Do you have any tips or tricks ?

Thanks you !

This is my favorite area in the game. The landscape is just so beautiful, and I love how detailed the animations are. Arthur walking through the snow, shivering, blowing into his hands. The isolation and some of the creepy easter eggs give this area a slightly eerie vibe, but it's also very serene and peaceful. The White Bison especially looks super majestic, shooting it always makes me sad.

This is in chapter 4, but the cold was already making Arthur cough quite a bit. I'll enjoy my time with him while it lasts :/

Help Help me with getting a perfect woodpecker!

I’ve spent irl days already trying to find and kill a perfect woodpecker. What are some of your go-to spots to find one?

Also, can I use a varmint rifle with the buck antler trinket or do I need to use just the small game arrows?

Discussion Badass Arthur and John

Obviously, as the players you know already that Arthur and John are straight up badass. Especially after you play rdr1 and actually get to see John do some shooting.

But I was thinking earlier while I was about to raid a gang, could you imagine the regular people in rdr1 & 2 think about them. They read the local news paper about this one single dude just mowing down people in a known gang that kills everyone that gets in their way. That must be terrifying, just knowing that guy could just do that.

I don’t know, just came across my mind!

Help Help with Arthur Spoiler

okay so Arthur got sick and I want to do a few things before you know what. So does he gets worse all the time or just when I’m advancing trough the history?

I don’t even wanna talk about how sad it is, I thought it would take longer. Does using medicine works somehow or no?

Help Escape methods?

[Spoilers for chapter 3]

Hey, I've just gotten to the part of the game where Arthur is kidnapped by the O'Driscolls and I'm having a tough time escaping because the way his vision is really messes with my eyes, I was wondering if anyone had a specific method or way to help out getting out of there practically blind
