He preyed on poor people, unlike the rest of the gang, who mainly stole from people who were thieves themselves. The repayments were minimal, and he didn't even collect them himself—he didn't have the courage to do that.
He never fought alongside the gang and didn't contribute much else to the camp.
He was simply a vulture preying on poor, vulnerable people.
The only thing that surprises me is that he died in prison without ever giving up a single name.

So I'm collecting orchids in the swamp and the sun starts to go down, but I figure "hey, it'll be easier to see the highlighted flowers in darkness" so I keep right on looking. Until a night person leaps across my path, spooks my horse and I get ambushed by three more night people. But that's not all; I keep looking and then around 4:15am, I'm thinking "okay, it's near dawn, I should be safe" so I'm still hunting orchids and suddenly hear someone wailing. Looks to be a woman in a night dress kneeling on the ground, sobbing. I go to help, and... ambushed by the night people AGAIN. I honestly didn't think they'd show up again after that first mission dealing with them.
Sixth one is my favourite. Looks like she's taking flight 😂
Everytime I pass by Valentine, I always and I really mean ALWAYS try to antagonize Downes. I harass him a bunch of times in a bunch of ways but I think this one has to be the most fun. Herding him all the way up to the Grizzly in to Epilogue. LOL

Chapter 6 at nearly 70% completion, and I finally was able to snag my first 3 star Panther pelt after several real life hours of trying to find one of these sneaky bastards!
Followed the general instructions of arriving near Old Henry Fens and riding back and forth between there & Cowshit Jones (edit: hahah I meant Catfish Jackson ahaha) farm. I told myself if this time wasn’t successful in a perfect kill that I’d try again using scent covers or predator bait.
Luckily, when the panther spawned it seemed to immediately start hunting a boar or deer, because it didn’t focus on me at all, allowing me to get a quick bolt action shot into its head as it traveled parallel to me.
Now, I’d like to clarify that this isn’t my first panther I’ve hunted, killed, and skinned, but it was my first 3 panther star pelt ever! On my first play through currently, and the panther is not only elusive, but hard as hell to headshot because it doesn’t roar, it has crazy fast speed, and it tends to spawn behind Arthur (or has been the case for me), so by the time realize it is there, it’s already ripping you apart.
Pearson, I’m on the way!
Edit: for any new players who may read this: the bull moose seems to be the hardest animal in the game to actually locate, but the panther has been the hardest one to hunt and walk away w/ a 3 star pelt; I believe the panthers are the deadliest creatures in the game? They make no noise and can take you down Post Chapter 5 in a single leap if you’re not rocking perfect vitals.

okay so Arthur got sick and I want to do a few things before you know what. So does he gets worse all the time or just when I’m advancing trough the history?
I don’t even wanna talk about how sad it is, I thought it would take longer. Does using medicine works somehow or no?
