What does Ethan Pocic bring to the Ravens? He's the 8th player in a key role in year 10+ among other things.

This will be my first time going to Cleveland for the purpose of a Ravens game. My girlfriend and I will be visiting and would like to find a tailgate to join before the game. I saw a post from a few weeks back but haven’t seen any others and I’m curious what people normally do when they go there. Just go to a bar? I didn’t see any jimmy’s seafood tailgates (at least yet) and I haven’t found any others. Any recommendations where to look? I also haven’t bought tickets yet but I’ll be waiting on that. When I do buy tickets, any recommendations on sections to sit with other fans that may be planning on going or good views? Thanks in advance, appreciate any information!

He was hired as an "Offensive Wizard" yet never lived up to that. Ravens consistently put out bottom tier offensive performances outside of two seasons. But look what he had to work with: Banks/Dilfer, Grbac (with a makeshift line and no Lewis), Redman, Boller, Smith, and the ghost of Steve McNair. '07 was a nightmare season between key injuries and offseason losses. We weren't a good team, it wasn't all on the coach either

I know it was pretty much inevitable he was out, he apparently rubbed ownership the wrong way even before that season. Besides that the team had attitude and discipline problems that Billick couldn't rein in. But what if Billick stayed for '08?

Was Boller's lack of output due to Billick not being able to develop a QB? If so, does Flacco follow a similar trajectory?

Or does Billick finally get the QB he needed in Flacco to unlock his offensive prowess?

A family member passed away and we found this in their safe. I was told it could be worth a fair amount of money based on the condition and the people who signed it. This is a wine list from Velleggia's, signed in 1964 or 1965 based on who was on the team at the time. It was signed by a ton of the Baltimore Colts one night during a group dinner, including all the big names that Colts fans would remember.  Johnny Unitas, Ray Berry, Tom Matte, Jim Boyd, Bob Welch and more all took the time to sign the front, and some even wrote personal notes. We just want to get a fair price for it and hopefully pass it along to someone who would a piece of Baltimore history. Any suggestions on what to do, other than get ripped off by people who buy and sell this stuff for profit? Thanks in advance.

Hows everyone doing? This offseason feels like forever. What do you think this season will bring to both our teams? I hope you all are doing well. We’re getting lots of smoke here from the Canadian fires. We also had a nasty heat wave last week. We’re under Tornado Warnings tonight so it’s been crazy. We also had a record 26 inches of snow back in March.

We should wear our blackout uniforms that game.

I know it's old news, but I literally cannot stop thinking about this. If Linderbaum was drafted in the first round, and he was only playing for 4 years and was available for his fifth year option. Why didn't we exercise the fifth year option and trade them to the raiders? They clearly wanted him for a lot.

I’ve been seeing the Hey Diddle Diddle Ray Rice up the middle play start making rounds on social media again lately, with tons of comments saying “if the Ravens don’t win this game, they don’t make playoffs let alone win the Super Bowl”. And I truly don’t understand where that narrative comes from. I remember the game, and at the time maybe it kinda felt that way, that we needed that game to make playoffs. But that just couldn’t be further from the truth.

To start, let’s address if the Ravens would’ve made the playoffs with a loss here. The Ravens finished the season 10-6 with a tiebreaker over the Bengals for the division. So another loss would’ve caused us to fall to 9-7 no longer in contest for the division crown. But we would easily clinch the 2nd wild card, holding a 2 game lead on anyone else. And before the argument “it’s not just about one game, it’s about the momentum that started because of it” - what momentum? Following this game, the Ravens go on to lose 4 of their last 5, including big ones to the Steelers and Bengals as we were trying to hold onto the division crown. This game didn’t set up an insane run, we limped to the playoffs after this. This wasn’t a last minute clincher, we were all but guaranteed a playoff spot win or lose.

Next, how it would’ve affected our SB run. Obviously this is much harder to judge as more variables are in play. But we would’ve likely gone to Houston as a wild card. Honestly Indy was the tougher team this year, Houston had obvious flaws. I don’t think we would have any trouble dispensing Houston even on the road. Some of the atmosphere around it would be odd since Ray wouldn’t get his last home game and it wouldn’t set the tone for the rest of the run, but it being Ray’s last ride I think there’s no way we don’t win that game. And then, just like what happened, we would’ve played the Patriots and Broncos on the road for the next two games.

So in reality, the only thing that Chargers game changed was giving us fans one last time to cheer on Ray Lewis at home. Regardless of the outcome, Ravens still make playoffs, and likely still win the Super Bowl.

So I went over this on the other sub where it was originally posted but I thought I would repost it here to hear y'all's thoughts. It's actually a harder question, not just because we have the best player ever at three different positions, but the current roster needs have to be considered.

I landed on Ed because I want to see him playing next to hamilton, but I think other options represent a bigger upgrade. Ray replacing an injured Buchanan is obviously a major upgrade at linebacker. But Prime Prime I think is the biggest possible upgrade, if you want to count him. Yanda would be a massive upgrade to the weakest unit on the team at guard, and either Mason or Smith Sr in their prime would be a pretty big upgrade to the receiving corps. Ngata or Suggs would also represent pretty big upgrades I think
