Hi all! I am a twenty year season ticket holder in section 400, row B and miss many games.
I have two tickets available per game and generally sell them at the season ticket discounted rate or slightly below market value (below whatever is listed on Ticketmaster).
If anyone is interested in games this season, let me know. I’ve sold many games in the last on Reddit and FB groups. The only unavailable games right now are the opener, final two games, Black Friday, and Super Bowl Sunday.

Canadian Caps fan here, would anyone here be interested in setting me up with a fully stickered CCM V08 Helmet from the equipment sale this week ideally size small or medium, and shipping it. Willing to pay top dollar.

Quick question, is it right by the arena?

Just ordered flight tickets, a hotel, and game tickets to the home opener on October 7!
I’m getting there a day early.
Any tips on getting an OV signature at the event? I’m in desperate need to get my authentic KHL Ovechkin signed but never been to an opener event.

I've got tickets for the November 1st game and will be flying in. What would be a good hotel choice that isn't crazy expensive or too far from the arena?

In Ovi’s first 5 years, he averaged 52 assists and 105 points per season, and he had 53 assists in his 6th year. After that, even though he kept scoring goals, he never surpassed 40 assists and averaged just under 30 assists per season. While still very productive as a passer, that is a pretty precipitous drop off in assists. I didn’t watch the Caps back then; what accounts for the shift?
Been doing one away game per season for a while now and just booked Tampa’s home opener to see big JC’s revenge game!
Curious what everyone’s favorite road trip experience has been thus far?
My ranked list:
- Montreal (religious experience)
- Vancouver (ran into Ovie, Kuzy and Orlov on the street)
- MSG
- Philly (fans were too nice though)
- St. Paul (too wholesome)
- Pittsburgh (meh)
- Raleigh (hearing damage)

Long time fan of the caps, but haven’t made it out to too many games in person. My fav memory by far has been being at the game where Ovi tied the record and alllllmost broke it. I’m making it a point to go to more games in person this season and really want to go to the home opener vs. Pens but not sure how ticket drops work. I see a couple tickets for sale already, I’m guessing from season ticket holders reselling them. Is it better to buy one of those now or to wait until the general sale happens? And when does the general sale usually start?

I’m kinda surprised nobody has posted about this yet (at least not that I could find) but as the title states, I want to get an autograph from my all time favorite player Brent Burns when he visits DC with the Colorado Avalanche this season. I’ve been a fan of his since the Sharks, and I’ve never tried getting an autograph before from ANYONE, but I want to get one of his before he retires.
AI keeps saying conflicting things, it’ll say that the team bus pulls into an underground parking lot, then right after it’ll say I can get an autograph before morning skates if I wait on a certain street. I’d rather not shoot for getting one during warm ups, but if I have to I will. If there’s any other way, however, I’d rather that. Thanks guys!

Try to be objective and get rid of nostalgia and recency bias. I think this roster is seriously up there, the depth in the forward core is literally nuts. I'd argue we have a top 3 forward core, top 12-15ish dcore depending on Huttys development and sandins return, and a top 4-5 goalie.
What this team doesn't have that our former elite rosters did was superstar talent (or really even close to one). Still, we've done about as well as you can to build an elite roster with 0 superstars.
I'm not gonna say this is the best roster of the Ovi era but top 3 is arguable. Imo this is the first time we can call ourselves cup threats since we were the favorites in the mid 2010s

Most people here probably don't follow Russian politics, but over the last three months several top managers from companies tied to Putin's longtime oligarch allies have been arrested and are still in custody. To understand why that matters, remember Winston Churchill's famous line about Russia: Kremlin political intrigues are comparable to a bulldog fight under a rug. An outsider only hears the growling, and when he sees the bones fly out from beneath it is obvious who won..
My reading of the situation is that Ovechkin backed the wrong faction. If that's true, I wouldn't be surprised if his planned hockey academy in Russia ends up under someone else's control, giving him another reason to stay in the U.S.
One more interesting detail: according to reports, he purchased an entire floor in a building in Sunny Isles Beach this week. Someone who's genuinely preparing for a permanent move back to Russia usually doesn't make another major real estate investment in South Florida.
Just my interpretation, of course, but I think there's a better chance now that he'll spend at least one more season in Washington than many people realize.
