She is so happy to have it back, she doesn’t care about the grade she is just happy to be able to carry it around and show people. She pulled it from a Demi god pack back in early June.

I have only opened a bundle so far, but I intend to open So Much More. The bulk cards have incredible art, and the IRs are stunning. The hit rate doesn't seem awful either. I've been loving the recent sets being so small, it makes a master set much more accessible :) . As someone who collects for the artwork, I need 103920893 packs to rip STAT! XP

It took my 6 year old nearly 2h to be able to sleep after the rush he got from getting this card.

As a context, he really likes collecting pokemon cards, so i bought him a box of perfect order boosters and when he manages to overcome a new challenge or do something well i tell him he can go grab a pack.

This was the case last night, now he wants it framed above his bed so he can see it everyday before bed and when he wakes up.

He flexes the value, but enjoys the card for it's beauty.. kids are great.

How tf did I pull the chase for comic eclipse out of a dollar store fun pack 7 years later. So glad I ripped this my luck is gone for good now though lmao

i believe that change comes when people fight. we, as a community, do NOT have to sit back, roll over, and watch all this happen; we can take ACTION. 💪🏻✨

below, i have linked a petition i started specifically geared towards pushing legislators (local and federal) to take action against the use of checkout bots. they did it with ticket sales (sort of), now they just need to be outlawed entirely. as the petition grows, i will continue to do what i can to make sure the right people see it. but i need YOUR HELP to show leaders how big and widespread this issue has become.

later on, i will post a list of each state’s leaders so you know who to contact. with that list will come a drafted letter that you can tweak and personalize to your hearts content.

we as people are strong. we can make a difference. i know people will probably laugh at this, or tell me “nothing will come of it.” but dammit, i’m gonna try! for the sake of TCG players and collectors everywhere.

Ancient Mew has always been one of my favorites despite being just a common movie promo, so when I learned about the other variants, I decided to hunt them all down. They’ve quickly become a centerpiece in my PC, and I can’t get enough of looking at them all. I’ve included the details for each version below, in case anyone else is crazy enough to want to do this as well lol. They’re in release order from left to right, top then bottom:

Ancient Mew I “Nintedo error” - The first ancient mew promo. Has a speckle holo pattern instead of the traditional cosmos holo, and Nintendo is spelled incorrectly on the copyright line.

Ancient Mew I “Corrected” - After they realized the error, Nintendo reprinted their ancient mew to fix the copyright mispelling. Virtually the same as the Nintedo error card, but side by side, the corrected version is a bit richer in color, with deeper blues, greens & purples. This is to my knowledge (and from experience), the hardest one to come by.

Ancient Mew II - Released after the “corrected” reprint, this version was updated to have the cosmos holo instead of the original speckle holo pattern. Very similar to our US release, aside from a thinner border, less glossy cardstock, and the copyright line ends with “GAMFREAK”, instead of “Wizards”.

Ancient Mew 2000 - The one we’ve all come to recognize, this is the US or “International” release outside of Japan. Significantly thicker border with a much glossier cardstock (just look at the shadow’s reflection), donning the cosmos holo, and distinguishable from the others as it’s the only version that includes “Wizards” on the copyright line.

Ancient Mew 2019 - Released alongside the remake of Mewtwo Strikes Back, this card was exclusive to Japan. It reintroduced the original speckle holo pattern, with slightly smaller speckles than the 1999 versions. Identifiable by the copyright line, as it’s the only variant with the year 2019. I’ve personally also noticed that the mew on this card and the 2020 version are much pinker than all of the other ones.

Ancient Mew 2020 - The final release of the card, this is effectively the exact same as the 2019 version, but the copyright year changed to 2020. This version was also released for the remake of Mewtwo Strikes Back, but was exclusive to Korea only.

Hope this info helps anyone else interested in doing this, I think this card in all its forms is a true piece of pokemon history and will forever hold a place in my top 5 favorite arts of all time.

Bought a few Chinese boxes, gem pack 5 and the new Glory of team rocket Chinese set to rip with my son as an end of the school year treat. I just can’t believe our luck, we were looking at the top chase cards before we started not for a second did I think we would pull both of them. Certainly a memory I’ll cherish forever, wow.

My Son turned 6 today and he enjoys ripping packs. He chose 6 birthday gifts for himself and one of them was ‘a pokemon box’. So I managed to get one Prismatic ETB at a very decent price. Anyway, he opened 5 of the 6 during the day and said he wanted to open the ETB before bed. And this is what we pulled in one of the packs…

At some point younger me pulled this, went “oh this is cool”, put this in a penny sleeve and tucked it away in a shoebox box with the remainder of my collection.

I bought a couple of packets of Chaos Rising from my local card store. Inside one of the packets I found these three cards missing colour on the face of the cards.

Is this a misprint?

Picked up 2 tins for 16$ each and pulled these 2 bad boys.

i swear it has so much aura, it feels scandalous to even hold it.

I know we all want cards to rip and dislike scalpers and resellers… but I saw something today that made me think we may need to take a step back lol.

Several people in a discord I’m in started making accusations about the PKC employees being in the pockets of scalpers and causing all the site crashes. Are we fr? I’ve seen posts accusing stockers at Target doing the same. Sometimes the site is just down. Sometimes the stocker is sick, or changed routes for whatever reason. Not everything is some ploy to keep cards out of your hand.

We could all benefit from taking a breather every now and then hahaha. Just a thought!

EDIT: guys I know it happens… the point is that I don’t think the senior stocker lady at your Target is setting you up for failure. I don’t think the IT employee at Pokémon Center is out to get you. Sometimes things go wrong and sometimes you don’t get cards. that’s all!!!
