bone burring or hairline reduction? (forehead feminization surgery)

Post image

hi all

my whole teen years up until now (21) i’ve been severely insecure of my forehead. not only is it pretty long, but i have those two horn-like bones that poke out. it’s frustrating because i don’t even like going swim, putting my hair up or showering nearby anyone in fear that they’ll see how large my head is. i also have a pretty big nose, so it makes me feel 10x worse. i’m a cis woman, but i have very masculine facial features and i’m at the point where i can’t even look at myself anymore. my siblings don’t even have a forehead like this.

has anyone ever gotten a forehead reduction or forehead burring? i need first hand experience to help me decide on what to do.

i need to know if it’s common to have complications after surgery or for it to be botched.

Day 8 of Revision Rhinoplasty

Doctor went through the same incisions as my first open rhinoplasty to do a minor revision. Stitchers were removed on Day 6. Today is Day 8 and I realized there is a slight bump.. is it normal? How do I get rid of it?

Rash after Boob job

I had a breast augmentation done on Thursday, Saturday I noticed a light rash and it has gotten worse over the last few days. My surgeon prescribed me a steroid pack on Monday and a topical steroid today (Wednesday) but nothing is helping. I am so incredibly itchy, and the rash is continuing to spread. It’s around my neck, my armpits, and my breasts. Has this happened to anyone else??? I don’t know if it’s a reaction to meds or to some adhesive / surgical prep.

Anyone else experience this after traditional liposuction?

I have strange marks on my flanks from donor-site lipo for a lower eyelid fat transfer on April 2 (about 4 months ago). The color went from red after surgery (1st photo) straight to this brown/gray-rust color without ever going through the normal green or yellow bruising phase.

My plastic surgeon keeps saying it's PIH because of my skin tone, but after doing some research I started wondering if it could be hemosiderin staining instead. He says no and won't really explain how this happened. Even the nurse at his office said she'd never seen anything like it.

I'm now about 4 months out and the progress has been very slow (see the photos over time). I've tried 6% hydroquinone for 3 months and 3 BBL treatments for PIH, but I'm still trying to figure out what this actually is and what treatment would help. Has anyone seen something like this after liposuction?

For a 40 year-old woman with a naturally angular, lean face, what are pros and cons of sculptra vs. fat transfer for restoring some aging related volume loss while maintaining overall face shape?

I like my bone structure fine overall. And don’t want to look like a different person. I’m curious about pros and cons of these two approaches cosmetically or in terms of risks.

What could help give the appearance of a slimmer or more feminine chin? Botox or filler or what?

What helped you with tip swelling after rhinoplasty?

I would love any tips. I am getting an injection for swelling in September when my dr is back from his vacation. Taping seems to make my tip worse and when I told my dr this he told me to not tape it anymore.

For context I had my rhinoplasty in November, a steroid injection in Jan (helped so much) but I recently had my nose rasped under local anesthesia which caused my tip to re swell and I have to wait for my dr to be back from Greece lol. I will include a pic of what my nose looks like after I remove the tape. it exaggerates the tip and looks worse than when I don’t tape imo.

How much would you say it would cost to get a half-inch mole on the forehead remove?

I have a mole on my forehead I want to get removed. I went to a dermatologist about it. They said they could shave it but it probably would grow back but said a plastic surgeon could remove it completely because they don’t do direct incisions on the face.

How much do you think this could cost? I went to a doctor for a free consultation and they said it would be over a grand. I want to get a second opinion but other doctors I have been finding make you pay $100 for the consultation but it could be used for the procedure. But if they give me an expensive quote, I don’t know how comfortable about doing that.

The mole is about half an inch on my forehead. This is completely cosmetic, and my insurance will not cover it. I looked online and it said anywhere from $200 to $800 on Google, which is why I was confused when I got the quote.

Spoke to a surgeon!

I am listening to your guys advice! So initially I was going to get a nose job but people told me to do my jaw because that’s the biggest source of my imbalance! Didn’t even realize until I saw a difference with filler. I’m not getting jaw surgery, and the surgeon said I didn’t need it unless it was strictly for aesthetic purposes. The recovery is too much BUT I am getting a sliding genioplasty.

I also inquired about my mid face. He mentioned wanting to do BOTH fat graft and lower bleph but I can do one or the other, too. However he thinks both would look great.

Genio- 7.5 k
Bleph- 3.5k
Fat graft - 3k

Wondering if I really need both.
Which will be more sustainable long term?
I am curious on other people’s experiences of those procedures.
I know the fat graft has a likelihood of resorption.

This is me with a little filler in my chin. No other procedures or filler.

Size regret? 295cc dual plane implants

Post image

I’m scared I went a little too small. I am bearly on week 3 and I feel like much of the swellness compared to the beginning (especially the upper cleavage) has gone down but I was loving the way it looked before. Like I mentioned I am bearly on week 3 and I’m scared that by the time they do settle I regret the size. For reference I am 5’3 117 lbs. I did 295cc dual plane. I just feel regretful as I want to LOVE them, and that almost everyone with my stats goes much bigger. This is how I look at exactly 3 weeks post op

Improve side profile and facial harmony

I’ve been really insecure about my side profile for a while now. I know I have a recessed chin and have considered many options, but I’m finding it hard to pinpoint exactly what would improve my profile. I have noticed it seems worse when smiling.

I have considered chin filler to test this before looking into more permanent options, e.g. chin implant or sliding genioplasty.

I have previously had braces when I was younger but I lost my retainers and stupidly didn’t replace them at the time and now it’s too late. So I have considered getting braces again but I’m unsure how much this would correct my bite as I may be too old (27?)
To be honest, I’m not sure how much it improved my bite before but I believe it was better than it is now.

I am also in the process of losing weight, I’m currently at a BMI of 22/23, however even at a lower BMI this was something I struggled with so I know it is not just body fat that is the issue.

Anyone have similar before pictures to me - what worked for you? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Can’t breath well as well as nose crooked from outside

Hello all, I’ve always had an issue breathing, I only breathe out of one nose nostril and I can see an obvious bent/crookedness in my nose from the outside. I believe I have a deviated septum which I know this is solved with a septoplasty in some cases but I want to ask, does a crooked/bent in the nose as well as breathing issues in the nose possibly mean that a Septorhinoplasty is needed? I was thinking a septoplasty might not be enough because of the bent on the outside. I know a diagnosis isn’t enough from online and I understand I must visit a ENT to check it out. But if anyone has any past experience please let me know. Thanks.

Looking for Brachioplasty/ arm lift surgeon suggestions

Hello,

I previously had an arm lift in 2011, was never super happy with the results and have now lost 40 more pounds for a total of about 185 lbs since 2009. I am willing to travel within the US. My plastic surgeon has done some other procedures on me that I have been happy with but arms are not his specialty and if I am going to do this again, I want someone very skilled. I absolutely hate my arms right now.

Midface lift

Thumbnail gallery

Hey, 21M here. I’d consider myself to be lean and in decent shape, I’m 6’2 180lbs, but I’ve always felt like my under eyes are dragging my appearance down due to what I think is a heavy midface caused by low malar fat pads which are causing nasolabial folds (more prominent in the first photo) and hollow under eyes. I’m considering an endoscopic midface lift even tho that’s kinda rare for someone as young as me to get.

I did a consult with a plastic surgeon once about the midface lift but he told me it wouldn’t do anything and that I should get infraorbital rim implants and fat grafting. However, looking at my side profile, my orbital vector is at worst neutral so I don’t think infra rim implants are necessary

Fixing upper eyelid exposure and negative canthal tilt.

Where can I find good surgeons that are good with canthoplasty and fat grafting to the upper eye lid area. I know about surgeons like Dr. Taban, but does he also do fat grafting?

Should I get chin filler? What size effects have you experienced?

I'm thinking of just 1ml filler but I'm concerned about any side effects. Would it migrate? Do I have to keep doing it every year? Will it cause any long term issues?

Plastic surgeon in Midwest

I am wanting to get a rhinoplasty done. I have a dorsal hump and I would like to correct my bullbous tip. I am wondering what people paid / their favorite surgeons around the Midwest area?

I miss my dorsal hump.

I made such a big mistake getting a rhinoplasty, is there any way to get my dorsal hump back it was definitely over-reduced…

Anyone have any rhinoplasty experience?

Here is my morph, anything I need to consider? I would like my hump removed without changing the front which should be possible without too much deprojection. How was people's healing time, is 2 weeks enough? Did you have a bad reaction mentally? I assume it takes time to get used to it ☺️

Plastic surgery advice.

Hi guys, I'm new to this and I wanted to get some advice from those who have gone through it. A little background on me: I just turned 20 and am on a weight loss journey. So far, I've lost 60 pounds through a mix of GLP-1s, dieting, and exercising. This process has taken over three years. I am still working on myself every day, but being heavy still after that much weight loss has affected my life in ways that I never expected. I'm young and going into my junior year of college, and although I think I'm pretty, I know the weight and extra skin have affected my confidence a bit.

In my mind, these are my hottest years, and having skin so stretchy and covered with stretch marks has affected how I show up. My arms have a very visible hang to them and I can pull my skin around 3 inches out. My breasts are small, but droopy and covered in stretch marks. My stomach and legs have almost a ripple effect of skin. Besides the physical appearance, the itching and chafing have been hard to deal with as well; my arms have been the worst, and I find myself itching my arms multiple times a day and trying to find ways to stop skin tags from popping up.

I still have about 60 pounds left to lose, and during this upcoming year, I've decided to be really intentional about hitting my protein goals, laying off partying, and committing to a personal Pilates studio 3–4 days a week. My goal within the next year is to move forward with a lower body lift and circumferential refinement, an arm lift (#1 priority), and a breast augmentation.

Regarding my family, they are encouraging me to have it done after I lose the rest of the weight. They want to cover the cost of the full body lift and the arm lift. I would be on my own for the breast augmentation, but I have saved for years, plus I have a year-long paid internship for my junior year.

The only person who is against it is my therapist. I've suffered with a food addiction for years prior to the weight loss. My heaviest was 280 pounds at 16, and my lightest was 200 pounds. I moved to Europe last semester, and my recent weight gain is alcohol- and partying-related, so I am now at 220. My therapist thinks I should wait 7–10 years before I do any surgery. I understand her reasoning completely: we should get the food addiction out of the way and prove stability for many years before we move forward with the surgery. Although I understand it, it's hard for me to digest.

In a way, I just want to feel beautiful. I have an amazing group of gorgeous friends who are all thinner. I feel beautiful when I'm around them, but insecure in public. I know I am the odd one out; this has been shown to me throughout the years. From being rejected by their sororities because they only ordered bid day T-shirts in size small (I'm not kidding either—this was told to me by my tutor, who is on executive board), to my stupid on-campus crushes ignoring me and talking to my friends. (Don't judge my friends; I don't communicate crushes with them because I already know I'm normally not the guys' type, and I don't think it's fair to ruin a potential relationship for my friends.)

I'm insecure about it and blame my body. Although I don't want to do this to get a guy or prove my worth. I have good friendships in my life, an active social circle, and good grades. I just want to feel like a normal college kid, not one with body wrinkles, or small boobs that touch her horizontal belly button.

I would love any advice you all have, whether it's plastic surgery-related, weight loss tips to push past a setback, or just general life advice or an additional perspective. I am open to all of it.
