Uploaded a short almost every day and 3 long videos got me monitised because I pick a niche !

Hey everyone, I'm hoping someone here has been through something similar, because I've genuinely run out of things to check.

Some context: I had a YouTube channel that was active years ago, went inactive for about 2 years, and I recently started it up again. It hit the requirements for the Partner Program, so I went to reactivate my old AdSense account, which had been paused for inactivity (not banned, not a policy violation, just inactive).

First attempt: rejected after a few days, generic message, "please respect the AdSense program policies," no further detail.

I dug around and found out I had an old second AdSense account tied to a completely different, abandoned project, on a different Google account, different email. I closed it properly, got the official closure confirmation email from Google.

Since then, I've resubmitted a couple more times, spacing them out, not spamming. Still the exact same rejection screen every time, same generic message, zero specifics.

Here's everything I've personally verified since then, trying to rule things out one by one:

• Confirmed the duplicate account is genuinely closed (got the email, checked it's gone)
• Checked every other Google account I have access to, no other AdSense account anywhere
• Payment info, name, address, phone number all match and are consistent everywhere
• US tax info (W-8BEN) has been on file since years ago, nothing pending there
• Read through AdSense's own eligibility requirements and program policies pages line by line, nothing in there seems to apply to my situation (no invalid traffic, no incentivized clicks, no policy violations, content is 100% original)
• Account status shows as "Open," not suspended or banned, with real payment history from years back

I've tried the official contact form (loops back to the community help center), tried u/TeamYouTube on X (they said AdSense issues are outside what they handle), and posted once on the official Google AdSense community forum with no response so far.

At this point I genuinely don't know what else to check. Has anyone dealt with a case like this, where everything seems clean but the rejection keeps repeating? Did something eventually work, or did it just take time? Any insight at all would help.

1. Will it be ok if I tag products in my older videos?

2. Is there any rule that i have to tag produxt based on my niche of channel? Or I can tag as i wish?

3. Do creators know beforehand how much commission they will get in case viewer click on link and buy the product?

4. Do I have to write in description that I earn commission?

I run a pretty large YouTube channel in the AI tools niche, and I'm trying to find a non exclusive agency or even a freelancer who can bring me sponsorship deals.

I'm not looking for channel management or any other services just someone who finds brand deals, handles the negotiation, invoicing, and all the business side, then takes a commission from each deal.

Does anyone know where I can find people or agencies that work like this? Any recommendations would be awesome. Thanks

My latest video was uploaded and received a copyright claim for like 1 minute of music I used, coincidentally it has not gotten impressions for 2 days since posting, channels new and has 2 videos but those 2 videos received impressions within 2 days I'd say, even tho YouTube states this has no imapct on my views, im starting to think it does since im a new channel with a copyright claimed video so they deprioritised me

I have 2 options
I can take action and mute the audio, but my voice will be scuffed and it may not help since youtube may have already marked this video as deprioritised
or
I can reupload the video, removing the audio, with a lot of alterations as well to ensure its not a complete duplicate (i have a copy that varies in length, has additional audio, has different intro, etc), the video has no views so youtube basically has no data on it

or should i wait, then take action in a week or so if theres still no impressions

To make a long story short... I started my channel years ago with talking head videos. I then took a long break, came back uploading adventure travel videos. They mostly performed "meh." In February, I went back to the talking head format in a different niche. I've gained 10K subs since then, leaning in.

That said, I still really enjoy making the adventure travel videos and think I do a decent job at them. I honestly like them better than my talking head stuff. But they don't do well on my channel with a bunch of subs expecting something completely different.

So it's probably best I start a new channel dedicated exclusively to adventure travel. My question is:

Should I reupload my adventure travel videos on my new channel? If so, should I unlist them on my original channel? I know I'll get a Content ID notification. I assume I can just ignore it since it'd be from me.

Any thoughts on this are appreciated!

I started a YouTube channel a few months back in a niche I’m genuinely passionate about, and I think I bring a unique perspective because of my background and experience.

The channel started off well (around 2K views on my first video), and one video did well, but my recent uploads have been falling flat. I come from a short-form content background, so I’m comfortable with high quality editing. With every upload I’m trying to improve something, testing different titles, thumbnails, scripts, etc.

At this point, though, I could really use another pair of eyes. I don’t have any friends in real life who create YouTube content, so I’m looking for experienced eyes that can give honest, actionable feedback especially packaging.

I’d be happy to pay for a channel audit or a few coaching sessions if it’s someone who genuinely knows what they’re doing. The problem is it’s hard to tell who’s actually qualified and who’s just another YouTube guru.

Has anyone here found a coach, consultant, discord server they’d genuinely recommend?

A company working on behalf of AliExpress contacted me a few days ago about doing a collaboration and asked for my integration and dedicated video prices.

I operate a small channel in the wild camping niche with 1250 SUBs getting 6-7k views per month across the channel so I wrote back £150 for a 60-90 second clip and £400 for a full video, thinking this would be an ok starting point for negotiating. They wrote back and said that it seemed expensive and that they normally work on performance-based compensation. Seemed odd to ask for 1 set of pricing and then tell me they dont pay that way.

I wrote back and said, I cant give a price without knowing what the product is. I need to be sure the product is a good fit for my audience.

They wrote back and said the product has not been finalised yet, but was camping /hiking related.

I wrote back, if you cant tell me the product, can you tell me more about the collaboration campaign details, as this all influences the price.

Last reply I got this morning said the product is estimated to have a sourcing cost of around £80 and that I should submit my video quote prices soon because once the product is confirmed, things need to move quickly and it helps "them" (AliExpress i assume) vet my channel faster.

Is this normal? I have done a few brand deals in the past, just barter deals where brands reach out and offer free products to review, no strings. I have been offered paid deals in the past (asked for prices), but the products did not fit my content so I'd always reply politely to decline and leave the door open in case they get another campaign for another product. Never had someone ask for prices to promote an unknown product.

This is the first paid deal im trying to do, but the back-and-forth emailing over days is kinda boring and im starting to think, it's not worth the effort for some random thing worth £80. Im also fairly sure whatever the product is, it will not fit my channel and all this negotiating a price is likely a waste of time. If they end up offering me a camping chair or torch/headlight, I will not be happy, lol.

With that all said, I would still like to do a paid deal so I can get the experience from it. My channel average RPM is £6.11, so im going to reply back asking what performance-based payments are based on, views, sales? and for how long. After this, i will throw a RPM number at them.

I do thumbnails for a living, so stuff like this jumps out at me. grabbed 6 of his recent ones (14.8m subs) and lined them up, and most of them are doing the same basic thing.

his face in every single one, same kind of concerned or curious look. big bold text up top, never a full sentence, always short. "stop gas." "real cause." "the lies." "why isn't this known." just enough words to make you want to know more, nothing explained yet.

color does a lot of work too. red usually means something bad or urgent. yellow means a question you need answered. green shows up on the before/after one for the good result. you know what kind of video it is before you even read anything.

most of them also have one extra visual next to his face, a gas cloud, a red highlighted joint, a target on a cancer cell, a before/after number box. gives your eye something concrete to land on instead of just a face and text.

only one breaks the pattern a bit, the "real cause" one has both a highlighted foot AND a glass of juice, so that one's slightly busier than the rest. still works, but it's the one exception in the batch.

Now, with a thumbnail style that’s still very similar, I can barely get above 10%, and every new thumbnail design I’ve experimented with performs even worse. Most of them don’t even reach 5% CTR.

I make documentary-style videos about car manufacturers. The content itself hasn’t really changed. The topics are very similar to what used to work, and my thumbnails still follow the same overall style.

The weird part is that I don’t feel like my content suddenly became worse. It just feels like people stopped clicking.

Most videos barely managed to reach 3k views.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is YouTube simply rewarding different thumbnail styles now, or could there be something else going on that I’m overlooking?

Have around 2k shorts up from before. Have been making a completely different style of content since and will be able to apply for the YPP this week. Does it matter if I keep the old shorts up? I still like having them up but if this affects the approval process I guess i'll spend a few hours taking them down or privatizing them if that's okay.

I have a channel with 130k subs and have only been sponsored 2 times, both by crappy AI apps I regret doing, but the pay was decent. My niche is comic dubs and voice-over; I have a team of people I pay for every video, and a sponsorship could definitely help get video budgets up. The only companies that reach out to me are small AI chatbot apps, which my audience is usually against along with my not being a huge AI fan. How do you go about getting your sponsorships? Do companies naturally reach out or do you seek them out yourself? This whole part of youtube is fairly new to me and after doing this for 4 years I should probably look into it.

I'm currently working on a video about drug use in the Old West. I'll be making several references to stuff like heroin, cocaine, opium, marijuana, etc. Is this an automatic de-monetization? For what it's worth, my channel is in the history niche, so everything I discuss is through the lens of history...sorta like mini documentaries. I'm not actually endorsing drug use. Any idea how this will affect the monetization aspect of the video?

I do a live stream every day 12 hours of fish tanks. I specifically set it for 12 hours so that YT would save the videos. I'm monetized and maybe 7500 subs. Just curious if I should hide all those live streams, or keep them up,,,,I have been doing this about 4 years so it's a lot. I dunno, just looking to switch things up.

It seems like common sense that the longer the video, or at least the longer the AVD a video has, the RPM would increase since people watching a video longer entails the possibility of more ads shown per video. But this has not been the case for me.

It seems to me like, as long as the video is over 8 minutes so mid-rolls can play, the RPM is nearly consistent across all my videos despite length or AVD.

For example, I have a 30 minute video with a 9 minute AVD (since I've been partnered), and it has an RPM of $4. I have another video that is 13 minutes with a 6 minute AVD, and its RPM is $4.30. This is just one of many examples that seem to show no correlation between these metrics.

Just curious what everyone else's experience has been. I have only been partnered now for 2 months, with only 7 long-form videos, so I have a limited dataset and do not want to jump to conclusions. That is why I am asking here. But if this is common it may make me rethink my strategy of uploading higher length videos.

I just got monetised today , thought the Adsense was failing for copyright reasons but turns out it was a duplicate account issue. So this is exciting.

As you can see most videos are not eligible as they have copyright.

I’m now going to lean more into content that doesn’t use copyright, and make some videos that are more storytelling. I will still do the sampling format and know they will never be monetised , even though they are transformative it’s still fun content. And it’s what my subscribers signed up for.

Can I have both styles of videos on my page? Any risk?
