Randomly crashes in game or after a hit

Hi, i tried to trade in my psp-1001 today, but the store turned me away claiming these factory stickers are "non-official" or fake.

As we all know the prices are out of hand. im sure with an impressive EE skills you can make it but idk if it’s possible. lemme know. i can also code using C++ and Python.

I recently got a PSP 1000 and I modded it with ARK-5 because i was excited and didnt do much research and now looking at whats avalible and how ARK-5 is still in beta and etc i want to downgrade to ARK-4 does anybody know how to go about doing that?

Just got this psp n I was tryna get ark 5 on there (first time modding the thing) and I did everything the video said but this shows up when ever I go to start up the ark 5 firmware or whatever. Can anyone plz help?

Just wanted to post a quick question to double-check my setup on ARK-4 CFW cIPL.

I was originally trying to install npdrm_free.prx by placing it in SEPLUGINS and creating game.txt and vsh.txt, but notice it wasn't showing up under the Recovery Menu / Plugins settings (only the default example.prx showed up).

From what I understand now:

• ARK-4 uses PLUGINS.TXT (or the interactive Custom Launcher file browser) instead of game.txt / vsh.txt.
• ARK-4 has native Stargate / Inferno kernel patches that handle NPDRM DRM checks directly for base games and DLCs, making npdrm_free.prx redundant.

My base PKGi games are downloading and booting completely fine without any extra plugins enabled.

Before I start grabbing DLCs off PKGi, I just wanted to confirm with other ARK-4 users: Is it safe to leave npdrm_free and game.txt/vsh.txt completely deleted? Does ARK-4 natively process PKGi DLC content without needing any legacy .prx plugins running in the background?

Что ж.. Всем привет, пишу нечто подобное впервые и в первую очередь для себя, чтобы выпустить душу, как будто дневник, но анонимно, потому что комок сжался крайне сильно, потому не жду, какой-то реакции определенной.

Не знаю, как начать.. В общем, всю жизнь любил разбирать и собирать всякую чепуху. Разбирал в детстве в основном машинки, а еще очень любил лего и мог разбирать и собирать один и тот же конструктор целыми сутками, не уставая придумывать, каждый раз новый сюжет.

Я всегда хотел, что-то разобрать и хотел лишь лего, да в чем-то покарывяться. Также с детского садика мечтал о psp, когда увидел у ребенка его, но лишь в мечтах и были, но забыл. Пока однажды вновь про него вспомнил, когда в школу одноклассник притащил. Тогда, что-то активировалось во мне, мол "хочу", "хочу поиграть", "хочу потрогать".

Через несколько лет я задумался о psp более серьезно и решил.. А решил я собрать своими руками его. То есть.. не готовый купить, как было бы дешевле и проще, а сам собрать. Тогда на авито удачно смог купить корпус оригинальный(сломанный в хлам), со многими основными кнопками, деталями, дисковод был и даже материнская плата. Тогда постепенно начал копить.

Таким образом я купил свисток для зарядки, чтобы проверить плату. Было без дисплея непонятно, вроде работает, но в итоге опознал, что кирпич, к сожалению. Продал, постепенно копил и купил новый корпус китайский, дисплей. Вот деньги кончились, дела появились и прошел год, то есть лето 26 года.

30 Июня пришла долгожданная материнская плата.. рабочая.. Вроде вот! Воткнул и готово, финишная прямая, но у судьбы свои планы видимо на меня. Я проверил дисплей и он работает, круто! Но винты в китайском корпусе плохо крутились и поэтому, мог где-то придавить, а может придавил крышкой корпуса, когда пытался закрыть щель, но в общем, дисплей заделся и появилось большое пятно. Я суетился, пытался починить, что-то сделать, но в конце сломал и выкинул, психанув. А еще вовремя этого сломался шлейф, который отвечал за кнопку. Но кое как прикрепил, чтобы все работало.

Думал на этом закончить, но решил поднакопить. Решил уже ips с защиткой купить. Купил, забрал 20 Июля. Учел ошибки прошлого, посмотрел по китайскому корпусу и почистил, как мог. Дисплей был охеренным! Помню, как был до этого дисплей и ips просто сочный! Ну и короче, собираю такой, а потомни в какую не закрывается корпус. Не знаю почему и пытаюсь разобраться. Кажется осознал проблему, вина передних кнопок, криво стояли, как понял. Решил сныть их и дисплей, чтобы подумать, как поставить/сделать, ибо не входят, какого-то черта в позы! А я купил до этого пластиковую панель с кнопками мультимедии, чтобы была целой, а не сломанной, как старая, где не нужноо вкручивать вместе с бамбером, с отверстием под брелок.

И что вы думаете? Аккуратно снимаы все я сломал белый фиксатор маленькой детали, которая отвевала за подсветку дисплея. Я уже разочарованно думал конец. Кое как вставил, приклеил, надел старую панель с кнопками, закрыв крышкой. Забыл написать, что снял пластиковую крышку у корпуса, прям на дисплее стекло.

Включаю консоль и все окей.. думаю восстановить батарею, ибо год не зарыжал и ей конец. Решил попробовать с помощью консоли зарядить, дать толчок и пока включал и отклювал консоль, то поывилось 2 горизонтальных полос. Я дышу пока еще ровно, но уже со злостью. Через время уже 4, все рядом со временем.

Окей, 21 Июля. Обнажив провод старый дал толчок для батареии и восстановил. Через время уже радостно ставлю прошивку и вот думаю насчет игр. Я почти уже прошел Persona 4 на пк, поэтому решил скачать Persona 3. Долго мучался с руссификатором, пока не нашел готовую игру с руссиком. Также скачал God of war. Что может быть подумаете? Да ничего, все работает, лол. Персона зашел, поиграл минут 15, понравилось начало. Уже думал, как потом продолжу и решил зайти в God of war и обнаруживаю, что стик не работает.

Я уже со психикой нездоровой пытаюсь выяснить причину - не поныл, зпто сделал другое - приумножил полос в 3-4 РАЗА. Потом смотрю, что отказала крестовина, короче, с раза 5 смог собрать, чтобы все работало. Через время обнаружил, что мне все хуже становится, то решил собрать, убрать в футляр со всеми вещами и убрать под кровать.

Через время посидел более спокойно и все же решил, что пофигу и с таким экраном поиграю в персону. Что ж, обнаружил, когда качал обои, что повышение звука не работает, лол. Разбираю.. теперь полосы доходят до середины экрана. Я со слезой собираю и захожу в персону, вижу, что все работает. И обнаружил, что курсор, которым крестовиной управлял поднимается в левый верхний угод. Перезагружал, но ничего. А еще кнопка "start" регирует со силой. А.. ну еще еще давить на корпус, то картинка пропадает на дисплее. Опять я убрал в футляр приставку и теперь не знаю, что делать, комедия вышла.

Это было лишь, как хобби ну должно быть, но оно должно приносить удовлетворение, а я пытаясь сделать все великолепно, как моэно лучше - получал в ответ лишь боль.

Урок можно лишь вынести, что первые шаги самые больные.

P.s. писал на эмоциях, написал далеко не все в деталях, мог бред снести, но главное высказаться.

Hi everyone in this subreddit, recently I've been thinking to buy a new PSP since my old one died(the battery exploded or something after not playing for awhile) when I last played it like 10 years ago.

I went to my local game shop and they said that local multiplayer is no longer possible especially all the PSPs nowadays are modded/jailbroken.

Can I ask if this is true? If so, is there any other way to play multiplayer with a friend? I remember I used to be able to play multiplayer using the WLAN playing games like naruto/tekken/gtas.
I need someone to verify this for me :( thanks

hey, i have trouble reducing game size. i used "ciso gui" to reduce size but it is not enough. i want to reduce crash tag team racing game. it is 1536 mb iso, with ciso gui i managed to reduce it 1002 mb cso file, is there another way to reduce it to 960 mb or something in close?

Guys Idk if I’m stupid or what, but I just downloaded ark5 on my psp2000 and now for the life of me I am having the hardest time download like homebrew or like emulators or like the psp game and umd movie libraries that I’m seeing on everyone else’s. Is there a straight forward video or something? Plz help

I'm sorry if this was obvious, but it's pretty simple!

You can do this two ways: a PS3 system or a PC.

PC:

What you need to have (PC METHOD):

1. PKGi. If you have a PS3 you're probably familiar with this name)

2. A PSP pkg

3. npdrm_free plugin installed if using CFW other that ARK-4/5

4. A Mini USB cable

1. If you don't have one, create a folder called "PKG" on the root of your Memory Stick (internal storage for Go users.)

2. Drag and drop your PKG file on the "PKG" folder

3. Open PKGi. If prompted to connect to the internet, press "O" (or X on a japanese model)

4. Press LEFT on the D-pad. The top bar should say "Local PKGs"

5. Highlight your PKG and press X (O for japanese models)

6. Wait for the installation to end. (NOTE: After the game is installed, the PKG will be deleted!)

PS3:

What you need:

1. A jailbroken PS3, either HEN or CFW

2. MultiMAN

3. A Mini USB cable

4. Your PSP PKG

5. npdrm_free plugin installed if using CFW other that ARK-4/5

1. Have your PKG already downloaded on the "bubble" form and have your PSP plugged in

2. Open multiMAN on the PS3 (enable HEN first, HEN users)

3. Have the default XMB theme on mmCM (multiMAN), the XMB one

4. Go to [mmCM] tab -> [mmOS / File Manager] and select it.^{3.1. double-press the "PS3 root" icon}

5. Go to /dev_hdd0/vsh/game_pkg/. If you have multiple PKGs in the bubble form, they will appear as folders. Grab the latest one or the one that has the time you downloaded the PSP game.

6. Enter the folder, and you will see some files, see if you have the pkg, it has a long string as it's name.

7. Select it and press "O", then, select "COPY". You should get a notification telling that the file was copied to the clipboard.

8. Head to the root of the PS3 filesystem, and enter /dev_usb00x, the "x" representing the number of the USB port. Unplug all USB storage devices if you are unsure which one is the PSP.

9. Enter the PKG folder of the root of /dev_usb00x. If it doesn't exist, create it. To create it: Press O, select Create New Folder, enter the name "PKG", in all capitals.

10. Press "O", and select paste. If it asks you if you're sure, press "Yes" and wait.

11. As soon that it's done, disconnect your PSP and head to PKGi. If prompted to connect to the internet, press "O" (or X on a japanese model)

12. Press LEFT on the D-pad. The top bar should say "Local PKGs"

13. Highlight your PKG and press X (O for japanese models)

14. Wait for the installation to end. (NOTE: After the game is installed, the PKG will be deleted!)

This is just an example of what it does when I open the PSP Go after it hibernates for a while. The screen comes on but it's black (I can see the backlight come on.) then it shuts off after 30 seconds. I then have to hard reset the system to get it to reboot.

I got this PSP a few days ago and installed Ark-5 a few days ago. I had an issue with a persistent paused game that would always come back even after deleting it. I am not sure if this issue is related. Any help would be appreciated.

Olá, eu comprei um psp recentemente e desbloqueei ele com o desbloqueio ark-5, eu consegui baixar 1 jogo, mas o restante que eu instalo vem com o erro de “dados corrompidos” alguém sabe me dizer oque pode ser? como posso resolver ?

I'm playing a PSP game on my Vita using a PPSSPP online server, and it's working.

I purchased my first PSP back in 2008. I had it for years and loved it. Life happened, I stopped playing it and sold it for peanuts in a yard sale.

Found the same one I had (Silver PSP 2000) at the Southeast Game Exchange and had to have it.

This thing is TINY compared to my current handheld ( Legion Go). It's amazing how much gaming and technology has changed in 18 years and yet the PSP is still FREAKING AWESOME.
