Tank diff in 5v5 is just too often too much to overcome. And that tank counterswapping. 2-2-2 gives a lot more flexibility to comps. Forget the 1-3-2. 3 DPS and one tank is gimmicky. Tanks aren’t raid bosses anymore. I’m for it.

Legit this Guy is playing Kiriko having 0 elims and 0 Dmg for the first half of a match.

I kindly ask her why she doesn't shoot, because that's literally one of the best things about her.

She then gets mad for no reason and reports me for being "toxic". Then second half she of course pulls out her main Lifeweaver.

Legit 0 elims and 77 dmg done after 20 mins. I don't understand these players that think they only need to heal and do nothing else.

Its called a SHOOTER for a reason. Weaver can actually do decent Dps but you are playing Support as a Healbot and take 0 accountability.

Its Support not Healer. Dps isn't the only one that can kill stuff.

Blizzard finally decided to share more about Juno and Mei’s familial bond and the Ye siblings conflict!
All this talk about, “Ooh, they’re going to make Juno the trophy wife for Wuyang,” or, “Ooh, Juno’s going to ‘fix’ him,” blah blah… God, these people are insufferable.
I don’t disagree that, in the beginning, Wuyang and Juno’s characterization was rushed and “dumbed down.” However, to assume that Blizzard is changing the narrative just to canonize couples is peak delusional behavior.
Because of this, I’m more than positive that the rest of the series will have a lot more lore to explore. I’m not excited about the webtoon because it’s lazy work; what I’m excited about is that there will be more lore and world-building for my favorite characters.
It won’t be everybody’s cup of tea, and that’s okay.
Some people will just have to cope with that.

Im a tank main. Now i work around 55h a week so im everything but a good player, mostly because lack of mechanical skill. however I do know a lot of gamesence and have been playing for years now.

I have been in silver for a while, wining around 80% of the matches so I knew i'm probably more gold then silver. I was 1 game away from gold 5, and started this match. I was wondering what the matchmaking trew me into, im very new to competitive ow and thought it might just be gold5 vs gold5 but to my suprise it was Bronze 1 to gold 4. 2 of my teamates where bronze 1.

I know its probably just that the other 2 golds where in a party with 2 new people but come on man. This shit suck

Like the title says, should it? I think it would be a great way to show how effective the Mercy is using his damage amp. and you could not be blamed for only healbotting, if you can show that extra damage + pistol damage.

Yeah, it does not count for missed shots from amplified friendly, but this is just something that came to my mind, when playing qp game with 9 000 heals, 1100 damage but also with 46% damage amplified used, and I was blamed for healbotting.

I don't care what other people say, it was my first game and I forgot to turn off my chat, but it just gave me the idea for this question.

I've had so many matches where both me and the other support are just getting flanked hard and when either of us ask for help at all from the team they just refuse, saying they shouldn't have to baby us?? then get mad at either of us for low heals when we're just getting cooked in the backline, does anyone have any tips or just any character advice for this?

Games I love keep shutting down and I can't handle it anymore this time this is the thing keeping me in touch with my friends and the thing I can play for days on end without getting tired of it and I'm not sure how to cope it's obvious that they will shut it down because no updates will just give less players

It has been a while since map voting has been implemented and there are parts of it I like and parts I dislike. One think I do dislike is that sometimes games can feel repetitive in playstyle. So I have a thought.

This may be an unpopular opinion but I think that the GAME MODE should be set in stone but the MAP chosen is up to the players.

Example: You load into a game and no matter what, you are going to play a KOTH game. But you get to choose if you want Nepal, Illios, Samoa, or random. New maps may need to be added for modes with fewer maps but I think this would bring a bit more variety into the overall gameplay.

My thought is that each game mode requires a bit different of a playstyle and thus forcing this to change from game to game would lead to a more diverse feeling overall as well as forcing people to learn how to even play things like Push and Flashpoint.

Title. I own a business, I already know the dynamics of supply and demand. However, One of these champions is coming up on TRIPLE the other. Double seems like an appropriate supply demand disparity while still doing what is right, which is spreading the attention around to keep your game at a healthy state. I've said it before, I will say it again. I put my money where my mouth is and haven't spent a dollar on this game in 3 years, and don't plan to ever spend again until they decide to do what is right, and fix the many issues in this game, skins being one of them. New Blizzard is a shadow of Old Blizzard.

Let's just make a 6v6 mode and you can only play damage heroes. That way, the people who want to play damage can all play together and get quick matches, while the rest of us enjoy the game as it should be.

Also, we should add some sort of reward system for all-queue players.

So I’m hard stuck masters because whenever I start making progress I’ll come up against a team with champion Smurfs playing hitscan only with their little e kitten mercy pockets like just now I was 10% from grandmasters then 8 games in a row I come up against pocket Smurfs ximming dropping 60+ kills then to put the cherry on top I wait an hour hopefully things chill out but nah I load in to a full team of them boosting 1 person all of them with less than 30 hours I’m starting to think it’s impossible for me to get out of masters at this rate does anyone else on console have this issue

You can see that the general direction they’re going with the lore is the new era of Overwatch with the old guard stepping back, and the new generation taking their place. At some point, the old guard like Reinhardt, Torb, Ana, etc will all have to retire at some point which is quite sad. I hope we can at the very least get a satisfying character conclusion for all of them instead of something half-assed.. or worse, nothing at all while they gradually just lose their relevance.

Kiriko and Mizuki, this season’s main focus, are 21/22 (Kiriko’s age obviously a problem with logic) and the Japan arc is mostly focusing on them, while Genji and Hanzo are more on the sides, which personally I find sad. I understand they’re focusing on the new generation, but Hanzo and Genji are THE iconic Japanese Overwatch characters. I also understand that we don’t have the budget for a cinematic like the old days, but it‘s honestly depressing that the genji hanzo reunion just happens in a short story.. They also forgot about Hanzo‘s tattoos, wtf?

(Genji is also going back to Japan again.. Can someone explain to me how this fits with his character? I always understood that Genji found his responsibilities suffocating and didn’t care about them, and then he almost pays for it with his life at Hanzo’s hands. I always assumed Overwatch was his “real home”, but he‘s going back to Japan, where he almost lost his life? Maybe I misunderstood his arc, but even then, most of us want to see him at Overwatch fighting Talon and Null Sector, not whatever’s going on Japan, right? And also now he can’t see Mercy :( )

I also hope they don’t go for a young adult vibe too much. A lot of the new, popular heroes are young like Anran, Wuyang, Mizuki, Juno, and that’s great and all, but the older, more mature characters tend to be far more interesting (and this is coming from a young person myself). I know asking Overwatch for some Arcane levels of edginess is too much of an ask but I really hope the tone of the stories doesn’t too teenybopper-ish. The median age of Overwatch is 35 but the average age seems to be trending down because that’s what sells, but the older characters have far more interesting motivations and backstories than the young ones tbh. There’s only so much “fresh face joins Overwatch!“ — apparently Mizuki is joining too, cmon — before it gets stale.

I don’t want to sound like one of those OW1 nostalgia baiters, and in fact, I only started playing in 2023. The OG characters are just very dear to my heart than the new ones (minus some exceptions, I love Shion and Emre.) Maybe it’s just because of the cinematics with all of those characters which we don’t have anymore. I just can’t find myself caring about the lore or OW cast if.. *Wuyang* for example becomes one of the quirky chungus protagonists to replace the original cast.

I have both complaints and praise. Overall, I’m just happy there’s actual lore development now, but I can’t deny that I do have a lot of criticisms too. I’m very happy with Emre and Freja’s storyline for example, they manage to fit in with Overwatch’s general tone while still allowing room for some darkness and mystery. This might be an unpopular opinion because I know the new cast is quite popular, and don’t get me wrong I do love them.

And dear God please focus on Sigma’s lore one day. My guy has one of the most interesting backstories and the coolest origin story ever, yet so far he’s just gotten voice lines about being a goofy grandpa.

Hey guys. I saw some speculation on a potential leak about D.Mon that she would have a new HP type. This is of course neither details nor evidence but as denizens of the internet it is now required that we begin wildly speculating. I’ll start. 

Ideas I had in the last day or two:

Big Hit Protection: This would be like mini HP boxes that all break on a single hit but can take up to a certain amount of damage. Example: I have 10 BHP and it has a threshold of 25 damage. A Fire Strike currently at 125 damage would break 5 BHP as each can take up to 25 damage but a Tracer could just shoot all 10 away immediately. So the idea is fast hits shred it but big hits are mitigated. 

Biggest Problem: Balancing the numbers. Too few stacks and beams, DoTs, and rapid fire will delete it so fast it doesn’t really exist but too many and you could hug a D.Va bomb without fear. Maybe a really low damage taken threshold would work. Like 100 stacks of 2 damage so Rail gun gets cut in half but Symmetra doesn’t even notice.

Anti-DoT: (probably my weakest idea) This idea would be a section of HP that works kinda like Orisa’s Fortify in that it would reduce or disable certain effects as long as you had some. Like preventing burns from dealing damage or reducing knock back or making negative effects go away faster.  The idea is more of an answer to “what doesn’t armor do?” 

Biggest Problem: Unintuitive and Unimpactfull. This is basically a combination of multiple smaller ideas which makes it start to feel like a list of random stuff rather than a complete mechanic. It would also do nothing unless one of its conditions is being met so either it’s useless most of the time or it gets yet another effect. 

One Shot Protection: This would be below the normal HP and would reserve itself like Immortality Field BUT it would deactivate as long as your current HP is below 50%. Alternatively it could go on a cooldown after blocking 1 hit. Not sure which is better but the idea this time IS to be able to hug a D.Va bomb while Sierra won’t even notice. 

Biggest Problem: Uneven impact. If you put this on a DPS like Vendetta it would see huge amounts of use but a Tank wouldn’t get nearly as much value. 

What do you guys think? Tell me your ideas and why mine are dumb.

I’ve always been a 5v5 but with 1-3-2 I found I REALLY like the pace of 6v6 so gave 6v6 comp a try and even when I started off in bronze I’ve never had to deal with this level throwing.
