Entire subreddit wishing death on everyone voting for wrong US american party

Context - There was a post about US conservative electorate dying at younger age due to mistrust in medicine. People instead of talking how to fix were celebrating and wishing even more dying, almost praying another pandemic arrives to anihilate entire population of voters.

The family law sub has no empathy

I made a post on the family law sub about my ex and his family financial abuse and they all looked over the chaos and said i need a get a job even though it litterally says in the post that i had 7 interviews and that the grandpa kicked me out cause he didnt want me to get a job and that my ex lied about everything when he lead me on.

just stupid R/girldinnerdiaries is the first time I felt offended online.

If you ever read r/girldinnerdiaries it actually has some great posts on it. But the first time I posted a comment I was shocked. My comment was preliminary blocked. That's not unusual. Some reddits do that to avoid problems. I got the usual read the rules and be nice rules. 👍 Cool. And then they said "if you are a dude, please comment that you are a dude so we know" ???? What?

I thought about it for a moment and realized just how sexist and presumptuous that move was. I've been on loads of subreddits and was never asked to dox myself as a man. I responded, perhaps a bit harshly. "If you must know whether or not I'm a penis owner before you'll let me comment, then you might as well block me right now. I'm not going to allow myself to be tagged with a tracker because I'm a man."

I was promptly blocked from comments. Fine by me. I still read the stories posted and enjoy the comment section.

Out of curiosity I went searching for a men's version. Sure enough r/boydinnerdiaries is a thing. And they didn't ask me to confirm if I was a woman.

made a post to ask about some glasses frames. this weirdo came in pretending he thought i was trans to imply i looked like a man in the pic. anyway i find it weird that he named a specific sub like that and he probably has a fetish.

plenty of times i've had redditors come to snark and insult me for no damn reason but this is one of the oddest.

Reddit advice

Anyone feel as if a lot of Reddit users are super patronising ? Not all obviously
but seems to be a large amount that have very negative responses but especially a patronising way of answering your questions.

just stupid What kind of people are there on reddit???!!

Thumbnail reddit.com

I've recently started using reddit. I had the account but I was always confused and under confident to use the platform. But since I have joined I've realised how kind people are and they actually help you out with literally everything.

The concern is that some people think that if I or somebody else doesn't know about stuff it's not okay to ask about it publically on an anonymous platform.

I ask such people were you born with all the information that's on the internet and around the world right now?

Shame on you for shaming someone else who tried to know about something they dont know.

Redditors are so out of touch with reality it's genuinely insane.

Asked a question about what type of batteries should I use for an early 2000s fujifilm digital camera because I don't want to spend a shit ton of money on panasonic ones that are 25+ euros for 4 pieces (rechargeable ones). Post already got downvoted for some fucking reason. Dude in the comments tells me to use alkaline batteries which are NOT for digital cameras, I tell him so but still thank him for his help, I get bombarded with downvotes. What in the actual FUCK is going on?? That whole comment section felt like a fever dream. There was only ONE dude who told me on what type of marking should I search on the batteries, and even shared his own experience with a digital camera similar to mine. Everyone else was giving me batteries who are over 30 euros like they're doing it on purpose. It's like they're mad that you want to save money. I know damn well those asshats act rich and luxurious on reddit to cope with the fact that they're unemployed dipshits who's only point in life is to be parasitic reddit worms who cling onto a random stranger on the internet and start sucking all their patience and hope in general humanity. They're not accepted by anyone in real life nor on any other place on the internet except for their small reddit bubble full of lazy sore losers. I can't believe I got flamed for asking for BATTERIES

Posted something for the first time after months.

Nothing, i just posted something in two subreddits after saying I’d never post anything because i had really bad previous experiences posting in here and I’m so scared of getting downvoted and bullied for things that aren’t even serious because people here seem to love doing that lol.
Wish me luck.

Used to be fun

Does anyone remember when people were silly in the comment sections and it was allowed? Or when people would include links or lore or gifs or memes to respond and it was fun to click open a post? It feels like all I see on my feed lately are stupid straightforward questions posted and strait laced answers in the comments. It’s fucking boring. Are there still spicy fun or subversive subreddits? Where they at?

Why asking people which tier does XXX belongs when you don't care about the comments and upvotes?

Sorry, I am just here to vent.

(tldr: My comments "F tier" got the most upvotes, but the result shows it is put in "A tier".I don't mind if there are other people wanting XXX to be on A tier, if A tier got the most vote, of course it should be on A tier. Even if I don't think it should be A tier, this is the rule and how voting works. I am just really mad that the person who creates the list ignored and disrespected all the people who have voted. )

Few days ago, I commented under a post from r/TierlistFills, about which tier does XXX belongs to. I commented "F tier".

And after a day I saw XXX was put on A tier on that list, I was ok with it until I read the comment section, in which, my comments got the highest votes (14 votes, but when I check it just now, I got 13 votes, I assume someone might downvoted me afterwards). There are only two other comments suggesting it should be on A tier, which, got 3 votes and -3 votes.

Therefore, under normal situation, since my comments got the highest vote, the person who made the list (OP) should have put it under the F tier. But no, they put it on A tier, and I just don't understand.

Afterwards, OP moved on and continued asking, I know maybe I should move on too, but I just feel like they are manipulating the list, if they want to make their ideal tier list, go ahead, but just don't ask people about their opinion and then disregard it. I felt like our opinions and votes were not respected, hence I also commented on their latest r/TierlistFills with the same list and calling out for justice. It is not like I really really want to put it on F tier, but I am mad that OP ignored the comments and votes and it is just disrespectful to those who have contributed.

I think maybe OP have notice my comments, but they did not fix the list based on the original result, instead, they called for a "revote" with the title "Where does XXX belongs to? Previously A". And it got me mad. No, it was never A, the comments and votes previously show it should be F. It seems to me they are not admitting their mistakes and they are also manipulating the others who did not engage with the previous post. Of course, I still commented under that "revote" post and saying a revote is not needed when the result of the first post shows clearly that it should be F tier. And someone (idk who) was not happy that someone is calling out for justice and downvoted me.

Sorry for the vent.

Trash mods harassing me

My origional comment was (are you ready for it?)

(Đ€Ï‰Đ€)

Gasp!

I caught all this crap about it when I asked why the original comment was SPAM and for the rude ban warning.

I saw another very similar comment and decided to be passive aggressive but mainly to warn the other commenter about what happened to me.

The vindictive mod combed the comments to take issue with my new comment.

Mod then back to back slaps me with a temp mute, perma mute, perma ban, and also removed my comments so no one else sees

How do you report mods for being unfair? Are they just untouchable?

Every single post I make I get mass downvoted and bullied

idk what I'm doing wrong. Is this because I'm stupid and it's my fault or is this just how Reddit is? â˜č Because lately every post I make I get hate and it's starting to make me so sad. Even if it's a nice post or completely non-controversial in the slightest. I'm confused and I'm worried that it's my fault. I'm autistic and sometimes people just hate me for no reason but idk if that really translates over to internet interactions or not. Sometimes people believe I'm a bot because of how I type or something. Ugh I'm just so sad. Reddit is the last good social media for me. Everything else is just blasted with advertisements and eating disorder/weight loss content no matter what I do to get rid of it because the algorithms know I'm a young woman and want to manipulate me. I hate it so much. Reddit is all I had left.

The majority of people on this app really, really bother me.

As someone who just discovered this sub, I want to say beforehand that I’m sure this post is going to be very similar to most on here. So, if you’re looking for some sort of variety, this probably won’t be the place. But I absolutely need to get this off of my chest.
——————————————————————————

It’s really just social media in general. But Reddit is what I use the most, because I’m at a point in my life where I’m trying to shake and ghost pretty much everybody I know in person, for my own personal growth and mental clarity. Reddit has really become my only sense of community over the years. And there are a LOT of absolutely great people here, that I’ve met over the last 15 years or so. Really genuine souls. But obviously and unfortunately, their numbers are puny compared to the absolute swarm of assholes, bigots, trolls, and overcompensating p*****s who don’t have the balls to talk slick to people the way that they do, in person, so they do what they can to get away with it here.

I try to remind myself that everybody isn’t going to be on the same wavelength as me. I understand that people have different perspectives, opinions, views, beliefs
etcetera. So I always do my best to stay neutral and respectful. If I give an opinion, I let it be known that it is purely my opinion. Otherwise, I’m really not going to engage unless I know what I’m talking about is factual. I like to think I have manners. I don’t instigate. All I want is people to be their true authentic selves. Which is why the aforementioned overcompensating keyboard warriors never cease to raise my blood pressure. Because I KNOW they don’t keep that energy in real life. They wouldn’t fucking dare.

There are times I come to Reddit, to absolutely bare my soul. And honestly, there are a lot of subs where I can do that, and am received with love. But God forbid I branch out of those safe zones and comment on a post that maybe happened to pop up on my home feed or something. If it isn’t the hive mind contributing to downvoting a completely sensible and normal comment, it’s someone dropping in to talk to you like you’re a fucking idiot. Personally, I’ve got pretty thick skin, so these people never really push me over the edge, even though they do irritate the shit out of me. But there are so many people who don’t have that thick skin, who come to do the same thing. They come to Reddit seeking help, putting their deepest most personal issues on a public forum, because they are in a dark place, and people will come to try and tear them down even further. Like, what? How does someone consciously do that? How does someone see a person who is quite possibly at their lowest, and just encourage them to dive further off the deep end? It’s disgusting. Honestly.

So, if you’re a person who contributes to acting like this, fuck you. Sincerely, and from the bottom of my heart. This world needs healing and it starts with us at our core. Each one reach one, and when you reach one, you teach one.

just stupid Is it normal for redditors to get mad at the slightest things?

I just this month started ACTUALLY using reddit and why is everyone so pissy jeez?? Is this REALLY that normal? I found a meme funny on r/playboicarti while apparently no one in the comments did (the meme was harmless too) and everyone started attacking me in the comments for defending the OP. This also happened on other subreddits too. Down votes, people cussing me out, threatening me in dms, the list goes on. I'm not even arguing nor anything, I'm being as calm and as kind as I can towards those people

How do you post here on reddit without ruining your day?

It feels like every time i post something, i always get humiliated it hurts. I'm not a masochist, and so I don't like being talked down on or embarrassed. Any time i attempt to talk about my opinions, a person thinking differently always acts terrible to me. Is there even a way to have a productive, happy conversation in here? Every post on here either scarcely gives the illusion of a pleasant community and is non-serious or is trying to get somewhere and gets mutilated with downvotes and insufferable comments trying to act above everything. Is reddit worth it to keep? It only crappifies your mood for a looooong week

Reddit Mods Suck (most)

There are 5 reasons why arrogant AH mods nuke posts they really should not.

  1. They don’t trust you.
  2. They don’t agree with you.
  3. They don’t like how you presented it.
  4. They are jealous.
  5. They are power hungry.
