Chevron?

Hello, my moustache fellowshipmen.

I’d like to grow a Chevron, but I’m not sure whether my moustache is suitable for it.

In the barbershop, they used to “destroy” my moustache by trimming it much higher than my upper lip, even though I told them I wanted to grow it out. So it has been growing for a while, but about 5–6 weeks ago I stopped trimming it completely and just let it grow out (first photo from yesterday). The hairs were still curling into my mouth, even though I was combing them downward several times a day.

Today I couldn’t stand it anymore because I felt unkempt, so I asked my wife to trim it, and it turned out like this (second photo).

Do you have any tips? Did I mess it up? Is the moustache too sparse? What about a soul patch? Thanks for your opinions.

Middle Gap

Male 30. One year of growth and that middle just won’t fill in. It’ll kinda blend after I comb/brush but ends up like this again after like 10 minutes. Am I doing something wrong? Is it just genetics or can I do something about it?

Camera really struggles at times to catch the colour, but got quite close here.

Stache advise

Post image
11 Upvotes

So this is my stache. It has been growing for around 3 weeks. I want it to look as natural as possible, so I was thinking about not “shaping” it. However, several hairs are pointy… should I just them grow? are they going to soften anytime later ? Or should I remove some of them ?

Finally cut out the stache out for a bearded Van Dyke

Whichever one of you said "remember, they're brothers not twins" - thank you. Helped the stache in security a lot

Is the stache valid

Never was much of a facial hair grower but the stache is vying for legitimacy

Still missing the beard. I have had a beard in many forms for the last 30 years. It was such a shock getting rid of it completely. Now I’m settling into the new look of just the stache, I’m sorta, kind of liking it but not 100% there yet. Already got a bit of stubble and fighting the urge to grow my beard back 😂

Keep or shave?

About a months growth, not sure if it’s thick enough tbh or if the goatee looks good

Shaved goatie and tried a first mini handle-bar. Which do you prefer?

The "Dali effect"...What gives??

Upvotes

Hey guys so my research suggests Dali used a Hungarian wax to get his stache airborne like that..cause nothing i use has worked - and that includes the death grip dealio which is is way too waxy and even after you overcome the challenging part of melting it down a bit of it on your fingers, the wax immediatley gets hard and you end up looking like you just crawled out of bed with very obvious residue which you end up frantically trying to clean up - and pull out a few hairs in the process. The bare bones version wont get your stache airborne, its more for the subdued/generic everyday look.

My guess is Dali must have used a much better concoction...the question is "what"?
