Chevron?

Hello, my moustache fellowshipmen.

I’d like to grow a Chevron, but I’m not sure whether my moustache is suitable for it.

In the barbershop, they used to “destroy” my moustache by trimming it much higher than my upper lip, even though I told them I wanted to grow it out. So it has been growing for a while, but about 5–6 weeks ago I stopped trimming it completely and just let it grow out (first photo from yesterday). The hairs were still curling into my mouth, even though I was combing them downward several times a day.

Today I couldn’t stand it anymore because I felt unkempt, so I asked my wife to trim it, and it turned out like this (second photo).

Do you have any tips? Did I mess it up? Is the moustache too sparse? What about a soul patch? Thanks for your opinions.

Camera really struggles at times to catch the colour, but got quite close here.

Whichever one of you said "remember, they're brothers not twins" - thank you. Helped the stache in security a lot

Is the stache valid

Never was much of a facial hair grower but the stache is vying for legitimacy

1 week update

Still missing the beard. I have had a beard in many forms for the last 30 years. It was such a shock getting rid of it completely. Now I’m settling into the new look of just the stache, I’m sorta, kind of liking it but not 100% there yet. Already got a bit of stubble and fighting the urge to grow my beard back 😂

Stache advise

So this is my stache. It has been growing for around 3 weeks. I want it to look as natural as possible, so I was thinking about not “shaping” it. However, several hairs are pointy… should I just them grow? are they going to soften anytime later ? Or should I remove some of them ?

Shave twice a week. First shave is just the neck second is everything but the stache. It’s a nice rhythm :)

About a months growth, not sure if it’s thick enough tbh or if the goatee looks good

Shaved goatie and tried a first mini handle-bar. Which do you prefer?

Took awhile. My facial grows a little slow. Definitely needs a small trim in this pic. I like it though, always wanted to have one.

I've been growing for a year now and finally trying to train it outward into some sort of handle bar. I'd like to achieve fully ridiculous. Any tips on training, grooming, and keeping this monster out of my food and drink would be appreciated.
